Hello!
Happy Wednesday! Halfway through the week already! I am ashamed to say I didn't make it in the craft room today. I volunteered to do my son's kindergarten's class' scrapbooks this year (I did the same last year). The teacher gives me some books, sends home artwork every so often and I glue it in. I also go on the class trips with them and take pictures. This year I was excited to do scrapbook layouts of each trip for each kid using My Digital Studio! It was fantastic and I hope the kids love them! Our kids are in school until next Thursday so I have a few more days to add the finishing touches to the books.
Okay, enough of kindergarten and onto cards! So today's Freshly Made Sketches comes from the fabulously talented Lesley Croghan! You can check her blog out here!
I am never sure what to do with ovals...don't know why. I work better with squares and rectangles. Maybe I'm just a square thinker! I had to use the Comfort Cafe DSP...I just love it! I thought that the Tea Shoppe set would work well with the paper. Who doesn't love tea cups?!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Midnight Muse
DSP: Comfort Cafe
Stamps: Tea Shoppe
Ink: Soft Suede
Other: Modern Label Punch, Word Window, Basic Pearls, Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!
Jen
Oh that teacup is wonderful with the new DSP and that embossed background! I'll be over for a cup :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer! I feel the same about ovals - I definitely prefer angles. Your card is very pretty; that teacup in soft suede with the embossed background is lovely - and love the DSP.
ReplyDeleteOK, I love this card! I WANT this card! I'm going to CASE this card! You worked the oval perfectly! I have trouble with circles - but your ovals are perfect!
ReplyDeleteLove that teacup mixed with the new papers. Sure wish I had you as a mom in my classroom, what a lucky teacher!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Lesley
Gorgeous card! I think you just convinced me that I NEED the Comfort Cafe DSP.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Jennifer! I love the texture and the pearls!
ReplyDeleteA fabulous card Jen ... wow, love that texture and love the colours ... great job!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat mix of color and texture...and I love teacups!
ReplyDeleteI'm like you, I think better with linear shapes! You, however, used the oval perfectly! Love that pretty tea cup with this paper!
ReplyDeleteOvals aren't my favorite shape to work with either - but I love how your card was put together! The teacup looks awesome, and I just love the colors! Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteI love tea cups, and tea, too! And I love this card. It is lovely.
ReplyDeleteJen, this is an awesome creation! I love the colors and textures! Great details and very professional!
