Seize The Sketch Ornament

Hello!
Yay...it's almost Friday!!!  I'm super excited!  I love Friday nights!  They usually mean movie night at home!  The boys love a night without homework as well!  Today my hubby and I were able to have a little lunch date - which almost never happens!  It was so nice to get out for a few minutes together!

This is another card that I was able to work on yesterday while Jake was at cooking class.  I love sketch challenges.  I'm not usually the greatest at coming up with my own sketches so I'll take all the help I can get!  The ladies at Seize the Sketch have a great sketch this week and I couldn't wait to play along.

Another Christmas card...sorry!  Only a a few more weeks of Christmas cards and we'll move on!  I like to re-use my stamps (as you all know).  I know a lot of readers can't afford or choose not to buy every stamp set or even a lot of stamp sets so it's always fun to demonstrate different ways to use the same stamps.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler
Stamps: Ornament Keepsakes, Four the Holidays
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Versamark
Other: Holiday Ornaments Framelits, Basic Rhinestones, Circle Punch, Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you have a fabulous day!

CAS(E) This Sketch Christmas

Hello!
Hope everyone made it through the middle of the week!  We had a bit of snow this morning and both my boys thought they had died and gone to Heaven.  Caleb asked first think if he could wear his snowpants to school!  He's hilarious!  They couldn't wait to get out of the house!  It was so cute.  Jacob came in after we sent Caleb off to school with the neighbours and announced that it was a great day for hot chocolate!

Jacob had cooking class this after noon so I was able to spend a little time in my craft room!  I will miss these afternoons....next week is the last class!  I decided to play along with this week's CAS(E) This Sketch challenge!

As I mentioned yesterday, I'm really far behind in my Christmas card making so I will take whatever opportunity I can at this point to see if I can get a few more done!  I realize that I won't be able to make all of them but I will give it my best try!!!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Midnight Muse, Silver Foil
Stamps: Festive Flurry, Petite Pairs, and the roller...who's name I can't remember!
Ink: Versamark
Other: Festive Flurry Framelits, Silver Embossing Powder, Frosted Finished Embellishments, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today!
To my American friends - I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

Have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #114

Hello!
I hope everyone is having a great week!  We are expecting a bit of snow here overnight.  Nothing major though - which is good since I'm still waiting for my snow tires to make it onto my van!!!  Hopefully the temperatures will stay high enough that the snow will just melt!!!

We have a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches today!  Our hostess this week is the fabulous Linda Suarez!  She has come up with a great sketch and has created an equally beautiful card to go with it!

As I may have mentioned, I'm not making all of my own Christmas cards this year!  I just don't think I'll get it done but I'll try to make as many as I can!!!

I loved Linda's sketch and decided to use snowflakes the same way she did!  I must say I'm really enjoying the Festive Flurry stamps and dies!  They sure make Christmas card making much easier!    I also really love that wide Cherry Cobbler ribbon!  It's so fun and seems just perfect for Christmas!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Stamps: Festive Flurry, A Round Array, Petite Pairs
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Versamark
Other: Basic Pearls, Festive Flurry Framelites, Scalloped Circle Punch, Cherry Cobbler Ribbon, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!  Please head on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to see the fabulous cards the design team has created for you!  We can't wait to see what you come up with!

Have a great day!

CAS(E) This Sketch Snowflake!

Good morning!
It's not often these posts are in the morning!  I was at bootcamp last night and when I got home I was exhausted and brought my camera downstairs but remembered the battery was upstairs being charged for today's big field trip to Springridge Farm and I was just too tired to go up and get it!  I'm so lazy sometimes!

I made a quick card yesterday using this weeks sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch!  I didn't get a great picture though and I apologize!

I like clean cards and have been trying to come up with the ultimate design for the Christmas cards that I'm not sure are going to get made at this point!!!  I love Crumb Cake and Vanilla though!  What's not showing up in this picture are the dazzling diamonds on the snowflake...sigh...my photo skills leave a lot to be desired!!!!  I realize you can see the outline of the framelit...I think in hindsight I should have pierced around the edge of the snowflake given that I had the perfect template!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Stamps: Four the Holidays, Festive Flurry
Ink: Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Versamark
Other: Festive Flurry Framelits Die, Dazzling Diamonds, Vanilla Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!  Hopefully I'll have another new card for you tonight!

Have a great day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #113

Hello!
I hope you're having a great week so far!  We survived last week without Daddy around!  It was actually much easier than I thought!  The boys were great and we celebrated Friday night by having their favourite dinner, watching Turbo (with popcorn of course) and making bracelets on the Rainbow Loom!

We have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week!  The super talented Cindy Hall is our fabulous hostess!  Cindy's sketch is so versatile and the Design Team used it in so many different ways! I love it!
You may think I've lost it because I added a snowflake to a birthday card!  I didn't make a mistake!!!  I was invited to a super fun snowflake 7th birthday party for my sweet friend Paige on the weekend.  I was there to provide craft assistance for some ornaments the girls were making!  Paige's favourite colour is purple so I wanted to be sure this card was created with her in mind!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum, Whisper White, Silver Foil
Stamps: Itty Bitty Banners, Festive Flurry
Ink: Elegant Eggplant, Versamark
Other: Delicate Designs Textured Embossing Folder, Bitty Banners Framelits, Festive Flurry Framelits, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Dazzling Diamonds, Heat and Stick Powder

Thanks for stopping by!  Please head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to check out the beautiful cards the Design Team has created for you!

Have a fabulous week!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #112

Hello!
Can you believe it's Wednesday already?  Where has the week gone!  Because Thanksgiving and Remembrance Day are over in Canada, we seem to be fast forwarding to Christmas as if it's next week!  I feel bombarded with songs and commercials and decorations and it feels like it was just October....what happened?  I guess I'll have to get my act together and get my shopping done and finalize some Christmas cards!

We have a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches today and I have the absolute privilege of being this week's Hostess!  I love being part of this great team and truly appreciate the support and encouragement this great group of ladies gives!
Of course because I've got Christmas on the brain, I decided to go with a Christmas card!  Go figure!  I wanted to do traditional red and white!  I love red....it's got to be my favourite colour (though if you asked my son Jacob he would say pink)!

You can't tell in this picture but the snowflakes have Dazzling Diamonds on them to give them a bit of glitter!  I should have re-taken the picture I suppose!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
DSP:  Season of Style
Stamps: A Round Array, Mixed Medley
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Versamark
Other: Stripes Textured Embossing Folder, Scalloped circle punches, circle punch, Dazzling Diamonds, Heat and Stick Powder, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Please head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog!  You won't be disappointed when you see the cards the Design Team has created for you!

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have a fabulous day!

Snowflake Day!

Hello!
A quick Sunday night post!  I had a few minutes (really, only a few minutes) to create a couple of cards this afternoon.  I had a vision in my mind of a card I wanted to create and decided to a couple in different colour combinations!  I think this maybe be "the card".  It's not exciting but it's simple and really, I'm a simple girl!

I started with the white background/red snowflake (below).  I must say, I do love a clean white background!  I moved onto the black and red after that!

I am not sure how I feel about brown and gold - though I must say they are usually my favourite colour combination!  I think it might be because I had to use pearls instead of jewels.

I finished with the blue and silver....I do love blue and silver as well!!!

These cards didn't take long to create which is the kind I like these days!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Midnight Muse, Early Espresso, Red Glimmer, Champagne Glimmer, Silver Foil
Ink: Versamark, Real Red
Stamps: Four the Holidays
Other:  Snowflake Punch, Silver Embossing Powder, Gold Embossing Powder, Basic Rhinestones, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you have a fabulous week!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #111

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week!  We have had a good start to our week.  It's going to be quiet here the rest of the week.  I am so looking forward to it!

This week we have a fabulously fun sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches brought to us by the creative Linda Callahan!  You will not only love her sketch but you need to head over to her blog and check out her amazing card!  I love it!
Now that Halloween is done, I need to get my act together and get serious about Christmas card making!  I don't actually decorate until after Remembrance Day out of respect but Christmas cards are fair game all year round though!

I think will love the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set forever!  I used Cherry Cobbler ink but threw some clear embossing powder on top just to add a little extra punch.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler
Stamps: Ornament Keepsakes, Bright Hopes
Ink: Versamark, Cherry Cobbler
Other: Holiday Ornaments Framelits Dies, Basic Rhinestones, Stylish Stripes Textured Embossing Folder, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Please head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to see all the fabulous cards the Design Team have created for you!

Have a wonderful day!

CAS(E) This Sketch Wedding

Hello!
Happy Monday!  It's been a crazy day here!  We had a good weekend.  It was fairly quiet and we spent a lot of time together at home.  Sometimes I wonder why we fill our schedule when staying at home is so relaxing and seems to be just what we all needed.

We attended a wedding on Saturday evening and I needed to create a card for the wedding.  This friend of mine is Asian and I wanted to make her a traditional red card to honour her Chinese heritage.

I really liked the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch this week.  It allowed me to maximize my use of red!!!

I do love scrunched flowers!  I probably use them too much but they're so fun!  I used the Scalloped Circle Punch and one of the flowers from the Boho Blossoms punch.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla
Stamps: Love and Laughter, En Francais
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake
Other: Mosaic Textured Embossing Folder, Lace, Modern Label Punch, Basic Pearls, Boho Blossoms Punch, Scalloped Circle Punch, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a great day!
