Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #420

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week so far!  We've been having unseasonably warm weather lately which is weird and nice at the same time.  We have basically no snow which I am totally okay with.  Wearing shoes every day instead of boots is such a blessing!!!

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.  Our hostess this week is the amazing Jennifer Timko!  I have had the privilege of meeting Jen (twice!)!  It's been a long time since we've seen each other and I think we need to visit again soon!!  Jen is also an exceptional card maker and she always blows me away with her talent.  Head over to her blog and check it out!

I made two cards for this sketch.  I actually made the mountain card first and then wasn't sure I liked it so I made the poppy one.  You can't lose with the poppies!  That paper just makes my heart so happy!  Yes, I am obsessed with the poppies!

I do like the mountain card!  I saw a card made using these dies on Kim S's blog and I knew I had to have them too!  They're fun and great for making masculine cards!  Something I'm always short on!

Supplies (poppy card)
Cardstock: Whisper White, Poppy Parade, Basic Black
DSP: Peaceful Poppies
Stamps: Bitty Banners (Reverse Confetti)
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Circle Dies, Bitty Banner Confetti Cuts, Mosaic Textured Embossing Folder, Dimensionals

Thanks again so much for stopping by!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team have created!

Have an amazing day!

More Poppies!

Hello!
Happy Tuesday!  Another random card post!  I know, it's shocking!  I'm shocked myself but it's the poppies.  I cannot help playing with the poppies!  I just love them and the paper!!!  There is a fun and slightly challenging sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch this week!  I wasn't sure what I wanted to do so I just started playing around with my card and voila!

This isn't the first sentiment I put on and I had to peel the other one off and change things up a bit because it just didn't look right.  This photo does not do the card justice either.  The paper is just so pretty!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Poppy Parade, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Gold Foil
DSP: Peaceful Poppies
Other: Poppy Moments Dies, Celebrate Script (Taylored Expressions), Celebrate Backer (Taylored Expressions), Peaceful Poppies Sequins, Dimensionals

Thanks for taking the time to stop by today!

I hope you have an amazing day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #419

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week!  Here we are coasting into the end of the week already!  At least I'm looking at it that way!  We're expecting some warmer weather the rest of the week which will be good to help melt the glare ice on my front step.  I may have slipped on it today and went sailing down and onto my driveway.  Miraculously I remained upright the entire time!  Needless to say we need the ice to melt!!!

We have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the lovely Lee Ann Barrett!  Lee Ann's cards are always beautifully coloured!  I'm always amazed by her stunning creations!  You should head over to her blog and check them out!
I can't stop playing with my new poppy stamps and dies!  I absolutely love them and can't wait to use them again.  You will probably see them ALL the time now.  But I'm not really sorry!!  The Peaceful Poppies DSP might also be something I just LOVE!!!  I can't even get over how gorgeous it is!  Put them together and I'm in love!!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Poppy Parade, Whisper White
DSP: Peaceful Poppies
Stamps: Honey Bee, Painted Poppies
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Peaceful Poppies Sequins, Stampin Blends,

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has created.  You will be glad you did!

CAS(E) This Sketch Poppy

Hello!
Happy Sunday!  Some of you might be shocked seeing a notification that I made another card!  It shocked me too!  I decided to take some time this weekend and work on a card that wasn't for a Design Team!  I also wanted to play with some of the goodies that I received for Christmas and haven't really had a chance to open yet!

I opened the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch and just loved it!  I knew exactly how I would play this one out!!!

I love my new Stampin Up poppy stamps and dies and knew they would work perfectly for this card.  I also incorporated my Honey Bee stamps as well!  I also have a thing for black, white and red so I was excited to give this a try!  That poppy though.  I just can't get enough of the poppies!

Supplies
Cardstock: Whisper White, Poppy Parade, Basic Black
Stamps: Painted Poppies, Honey Bee (SU)
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Poppy Moments Dies, Peaceful Poppy Sequins, Stitched Rectangles (Lil Inkers), Stitched Banner (no idea where this came from), Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have an amazing day!!!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #418

Hello!
Happy Wednesday and welcome to the MIDDLE of January!  Can someone please explain to me how that happened?  Wasn't it just Christmas?!  We've had amazing "winter" weather so far and I'm totally pumped that true winter may only feel like two months instead of 6!  Hopefully it doesn't last much longer than that!!!  I apologize for no card last week.  I totally spaced on that one.  I made my card all excited and went to post it and realized my card didn't look like everyone else's.  I had used the wrong sketch.  Needless too say, I was good and ready for this week!!!

We have a great sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week!  Our hostess is the amazing Jacquie Southas!  Jacquie's cards are always amazing!  Head over to her blog to check them out!

So I knew I wanted to use the new SU honey bee stamp for this card.  I just love it!  Plus the DSP from the Sale-a-bration catalogue is fantastic!  I just love bees!!

I must say I struggled making this card.  I couldn't get it to be the way I wanted it or the way I thought it would look and it definitely looks better in person than it photographed.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Gold Foil
DSP: Golden Honey Specialty DSP
Stamps: Honey Bee
Ink: Versamark, Basic Black
Other: Detailed Bees Dies, Gold Embossing Powder, Subtle Texture Embossing Folder, Itty Bitty Banner Dies

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you have the chance to head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has created!  You'll definitely be inspired!

Have an amazing day!
