Freshly Made Sketches #428

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week so far!  We're all practising our social distancing (or we should be!)!  How are you surviving?  We have been having a great time. We are so blessed to live very close to a huge trail system (called the Bruce Trail).  We have been able to get out every single day for a hike.  It's been so lovely to get out and get fresh air and clear the mind!

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the amazing Amy O'Neill!  Amy's cards are always so beautiful and full of gorgeous elements!  Head over to her blog and check them out!

I had a completely different idea in mind when I sat down to make my card!  I had a shaker box that I was going to make and it was going to be so pretty...but....as you can see, that didn't happen!  I also saw the game controller die sitting there and I knew that it would make a great card as well!  There are a couple of birthdays coming up that this would be perfect for!

Now, this card and the sketch don't completely line up so I sure hope Amy and the girls can forgive me.  I tried the sentient over the controller and it looked funny.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red, Pacific Point, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Smokey Slate
Stamps: Level Up (MFT Stamps)
Ink: Stazon Black
Other: Subtle Texture Embossing Folder, Game Controllers Dienamics (MFT Stamps), Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the other gorgeous cards!

Have an amazing day!  Happy social distancing!!!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #427

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a good Wednesday socially distancing yourself from the rest of the world!  I must say that the world has changed considerably in the last week.  It's unbelievable.  My kids are home for at least 3 weeks and my husband is also home as well.  It can be very overwhelming having everyone around but we will embrace this and make the best of it.  We've been going on some fabulous hikes and getting as much fresh air and sunshine as possible!

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is our truly talented fussy cutter and flower maker, Narelle Farrugia!  Head on over to her blog to check out her amazing cards!

The leaf on the sketch might as well have been a circle!  I was stumped at what I could use.  I must say that I forced myself not to use a poppy!  You should be thanking me now!

I had recently purchased these game controllers from MFT because I have boys and they would loves cards made with these!  I don't necessarily have a recipient in mind but it's always handy to have a card like this on hand!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red, Smokey Slate, Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight
Stamps: Level Up (MFT)
Ink: Stazon Black
Other: Game Controller Dienamics (MFT), Subtle Texture Embossing Folder, Stitched Rectangles, Dimensionals

Thanks again for stopping by!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the amazing cards the Design Team has created!

We can't wait to see what you come up with - especially since we're all at home this week anyhow!!  Wonder if my boys would want to sit and make cards all day??!!!

Have an amazing day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #425

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great start to your week.  It's been a very wet week here so far but that's okay I guess because it has melted our snow.  I could use some sunshine but I guess I can't really control the weather.  I will take the rain if it means that we have no snow!!  Spring is on it's way!

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the amazing Cecile Ribon!  Cecile's cards are always so classy and have an amazing flare to them.  Head over to her blog to check them out.

I must admit that this sketch gave me a huge challenge.  I could not wrap my head around it.  It took me quite a while to come up with my card and even still I ended up changing it a bit on Sunday.  Oh well.  The creative process is never an easy one - at least not for me!!!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Silver Glimmer
Stamps: Bitty Birthday Wishes (MFT)
Ink: Costal Cabana, Basic Black
Other: Detailed Dragonflies Thinlits, Blueprints Dies (MFT), Blender Brushes (Taylored Expressions), Frosted Epoxy Drops, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll take a minute to head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the girls on the Design Team have created!  I'm so grateful to be on a team with such amazingly creative women!

Have a fabulous day!
