Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #474

Hello!

Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great start to your week!  We had lots of snow last week but this week we're getting above freezing temperatures and some rain.  I guess that means our snow will start melting - which is okay with me.  Maybe the death trap sidewalks will become more walkable!!!  The long range forecast (which is never right, let's be honest) indicates about freezing temperatures every day.  I'm totally okay with an early spring!!!  Bring it on!

We have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week!  Our hostess is the amazing Judy Rozema!  Judy's cards are always so beautiful.  She sure creates some super creative cards!  Head over to her blog to check them out!

I had to be a bit of rebel with this card and turn it on it's side.  I tried to make it work in portrait mode but unfortunately I didn't have the right "with sympathy" sentiment to work.  So, over it went!  Narelle used flowers like these a few weeks ago and I knew they would be perfect on my card. My colouring isn't quite as good as Narelle's but we're going to go with it!  Thankfully whoever I send this to probably won't not how good Narelle's colouring is!  I used the Crumb Cake Stampin Blends to colour the flowers.

Supplies:

Cardstock: Whisper White

DSP: In Good Taste

Stamps: Forever and Always

Ink: Memento Black

Other: Always Dies, Stampin' Blends, Braided Linen Trim, Elegant Faceted Gems

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to check out the cards that the Design Team has made!

We can't wait to see what you create this week!

Have an amazing day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #473

Hello!

Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're all having a great start to the week!  It's been a crazy week!  I've seen pictures of kids building snowmen in Texas (for their first time ever) to 12" of snow out in Washington!  We got a big dumping of snow Monday night and there's more supposedly coming on Thursday.  I guess being Canadians we're supposed to be used to it and love it, but...I don't really!  I do really prefer to walk in the winter though - except for the death trap sidewalks!  I love the fresh, cold air.  Nothing beats it!

On a less cold and snowy note, we have a brand new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week!  Our hostess this week is the incredible and hopefully not frozen Texan, Amy O'Neill!  Amy is so creative and her cards always amaze me!  Head over to her blog to check them out!

Okay, you might not believe this but this is the first version of this card!  Yup, I got it the first time around!  I was rather impressed with myself.  It came together quite quickly.  Things like that generally don't happen so we'll celebrate this one!

I love the Flower and Field paper and couldn't help but use it again this week! Pair with the Pierced Blooms of course.  Who doesn't love a sweet, fresh daisy in the winter to cheer you up?

Supplies:

Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, So Saffron, Granny Apple Green

DSP: Flower and Field

Stamps: Peaceful Moments

Ink: Basic Black

Other: Pierced Blooms Dies, Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and take some inspiration from the cards you see there.  The Design Team knocked it out of the park this week!

Have an amazing day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #472

Hello!

Happy Wednesday!  The kids here are back in school physically and we're supposed to end our lockdown today (or tomorrow?  I can't remember)!  Not entirely sure what that means but I'm hoping they open a few more stores and maybe even let hairdressers and barbers open!  I know three boys who are in desperate need of a hair cut!  When I picked my oldest up from high school on Monday I discovered that ALL the boys are in the same boat!  Haircuts needed all around!

We have a fun new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the one and only Narelle Farrugia!  Narelle's cards are always breathtaking and her creativity amazes me!  Head on over to her blog and prepare to be wowed!

Okay, so let's be honest.  You know this sketch totally threw me.  I tried to do Valentine's cards and then other different cards and nothing I wanted looked right.  I'm still not overly thrilled with the final product but what can you do?  I ran out of time to create something else!

Supplies:

Cardstock: Whisper White, Grey Granite

DSP: Peony Garden

Stamps: Prized Peony, Sweet Celebration (Lil Inkers)

Other: Peony dies, Wink of Stella, Celebrate Script Die (Taylored Expressions), Celebrate Backer Die (Taylored Expressions)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Please head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out a slew of fabulous cards!

I hope you'll join in our challenge and I hope you have an amazing week!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #471

Hello!

Happy Wednesday crafting world!  I hope you're having a great week!  I hope those of you who were hit with the snowstorm earlier in the week are digging out!  I don't think we'll be getting it.  Sometimes we get the tail end but I think this time it's going to miss us!  I won't complain!  We're also hoping to hear today if our kids can go back to school this week.  Some kids in our province have headed back to school but our board has not.  We're hoping for next week.  My youngest isn't loving online school and really needs to be back with his friends.  I guess we'll just wait and see and then make the best of whatever happens!

We have a great new sketch today at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the incredible Karren Johnson!  Karren is truly amazing and not only makes incredible cards, she is a truly incredible person!  I really do hope that I'm able to actually meet her in person one day!

So I knew I wanted to use my "Wreath Builders" dies for this card.  It took me a few tries to get this to work.  I couldn't put the circle with the sentiment right on the bottom, I had to put it between the two wreath pieces.  Of course I had to use my Pierced Blooms dies again.  I couldn't resist.  They were such a cheery addition to the card!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Granny Apple Green, Garden Green, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight
Stamps: Beautiful World
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Pierced Blooms Dies, Wreath Builders Dies, Wonky Frame Dies (Lil Inkers), Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches Blog and check out the amazing cards that the Design Team has created for your inspiration!

I hope you'll join in this week's challenge!

Have an amazing day!
