Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #487

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope your week has started well!  We've been entertained the last few weeks by a robin who has built her nest on our deck.  Don't worry, it's fairly secure and safe from predators!  We don't let our cats out so Bumble the Robin and her brood are safe and sound (so far!).  Yesterday 2 of the 3 eggs hatched and today I discovered the 3rd egg has hatched!  I never knew I'd get so much enjoyment from watching Bumble.  I've learned a lot about robins and their nesting habits.  She's provided a fair bit of entertainment - which is nice since we're still in lockdown!  I can't wait to watch the little babies get bigger and toddle around the backyard all fluffy and cute!

Okay, that was a huge aside!  We are here for our Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week!  We have the amazing Jennifer Timko as our hostess this week!  Jen's cards are amazing and you definitely want to head over to her blog to check them out!

So I might have also stared at this sketch for a LONG time.  I was a tad stressed.  I've been suffering for a total lack of creativity lately.  I think it's the pending move and my husband being out west.  I think something had to go and it was "unfortunately" my creativity.  My sanity left a while ago so it wasn't available!

I needed a graduation card for a friend's daughter.  I had to make sure I didn't re-create the one I gave her sister last year!  A slimline would work perfectly!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Real Red, Basic Black, Gold Foil
Stamps: Beautiful World
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Number Dies, Square Punch, Balloon Framelits

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to check out the amazing cards!  There are some amazing cards there to inspire you!

Have an amazing day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #486

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week!  We have gone from slightly cool weather here to crazy warm!  Funny how that happens.  I won't complain!  Where we're moving we probably won't see too much hot weather so I'll take advantage of it while I can!

We have a fun new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the amazing Jacquie Southas!  Jacquie makes absolutely stunning cards!  You need to head over to her blog and check them out!

Okay peeps, I saw this sketch and almost threw up!  No word of a lie. All I saw was part of a massive circle!  What on earth was I going to do with that?  Needless to say, I tried many, many renditions of this card.  I felt very uncreative to say the least.  I absolutely love this brand new DSP (Expressions in Ink) from Stampin' Up! though.  I don't actually want to use it!  I want it to be one of those packs that you just hoard and keep and open and touch...anyone else out there do that?!  Anyhow, as soon as I saw this paper I knew I had to try and incorporate it into my card! It was hard to make that first cut in the paper though!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Magenta Madness, Basic Black, Gold Foil, Whisper White
DSP: Expressions in Ink
Stamps: Many Messages
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Message Die, Pierced Blooms Dies, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I do hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards that are there for your inspiration!

Have an amazing day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #485

Hello
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you have been having a great start to your week so far!  My husband just arrived at our new home in Alberta.  We don't actually take possession of it until Thursday but he stopped by to get a picture just to show us he made it safely.  He had a 3000+ km drive (took him well over 30 hours) to get there.  He was by himself though he had a coworker driving behind him for most of it.  I was so relieved when he got there safe and sound.  Now for the excitement of a new house!

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the incredible Judy Rozema!  Judy's cards are always so beautiful.  Head over to her blog to check them out!

I needed some sympathy cards.  I have been asked by a friend to make a bunch up for her.  Then I realized that I needed one for myself as well.  I saw the Peony Garden DSP sitting there and knew it would be perfect.  This paper is so beautiful and I'm sad to use it up BUT I've been putting more effort into actually using my paper instead of hoarding it!!!  We'll see how long that lasts!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Gray Granite, Granny Apple Green, Cucumber Crush, Black, Petal Pink
DSP: Peony Garden
Stamps: Prized Peony
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Peony Dies, Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches and join in our challenge this week.  The Design Team has created some amazing cards that will definitely inspire you.

Have an amazing day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #484

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great start to your week so far!  We are counting down the days here until my husband leaves to take possession of our new house out in Western Canada.  Seems crazy that the last few months have gone by so fast.  This week is going to fly by as well.  My husband needs to take enough stuff for the 4 of us to live with for about 6 days once we get there as well!  We will be arriving before the moving truck so we will need some things to live with!  It will be an adventure to say the least!

We have a brand new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week!  Our hostess this week is one of our favourite Texan card makers - Amy O'Neill!  Amy creates the sweetest cards so you should go and check them out on her blog!

I must admit this one stumped me.  I think it was because I was crunched for time and had something in mind and could not replicate it.  I haven't created an all white card in a while and wanted to give it a shot.  It's very simple but that's what I wanted!  The Pierced Blooms made another appearance!  I used an aqua painter splatter a little ink in the background.  I should have probably picked a different colour but I wanted it subtle.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Silver Foil
Ink: Basic Black
Stamps: Itty Bitty Birthdays
Other: Pierced Blooms Dies, Stitched Rectangles (Lil' Inkers), Tasteful Label Dies, Silver Epoxy Essentials, Aqua Painter

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I do hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and be inspired by the cards the Design Team have created!  We also hope you'll join in our challenge this week!

Have an amazing day!
