Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #424

Hello
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great start to your week!  We're having a good week so far here.  We had the most glorious weekend completely with warmer weather and sunshine!  I'm always down for sunshine!  Our winters tend to be rather gloomy here so when we do get sunshine I love to get outside to catch some vitamin D!

We have a new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  I am the hostess this week!  I hope you like the sketch and will play along with our challenge!  It's always so exciting to see all the different cards that comes from one sketch!

So I may have had to pull out the poppies again!  I just love the poppies!  I can't help it!  They just make me smile! I also put together a second card.  Actually, the coffee cup card may have been the first card I made.  I can't remember now.   I wanted to make one with my new little coffee cup stamp from MFT!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Vellum
DSP: Peaceful Poppies
Stamps: Simple Strips - Birthday (Taylored Expressions)
Ink: Stazon Black
Other: Simple Strips Die, Poppy Moments Dies, Subtle Texture Embossing Folder, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the amazing creations the team has come up with!!!

We can't wait to see what you create!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #423

Hello!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you're having a great week so far!  Can you guys believe we're more than halfway through February already?  Seriously? Where does the time go?  I bought my oldest a dress shirt and tie today for his grad photos next week.  I'm trying not to think about it!!!  Now, it's just grade 8 graduation but still.  How is my little boy old enough to graduate grade 8?

On a happy note, we have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the talented Kim Singdahlsen!  Kim's cards often inspire me to create wish lists and place orders!!!  Go and take a look - you'll see what I mean!

Shockingly this wasn't my first card!  Ha!  Though I kinda knew what I wanted to create.  I used by Sunburst Thinlit from SU to cut out sun.  Then I used a stitched circle die to make it more round.  I cut out some clouds and added some Simple Strips from Taylored Expressions.  I added a bit of texture to the background because it just didn't look quite right plain!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight
Stamps: Simple Strips (Taylored Expressions)
Ink: Stazon Black
Other: Sunburst Thinlit, Sun 'n Clouds Confetti Cuts (Reverse Confetti), Stitched Circle Die (Lil Inkers), Subtle Texture Embossing Folder, Simple Strips Die (Taylored Expressions), Sequins

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team have created.  We can't wait to see what you come up with this week!

Have an amazing day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #422

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week so far!  My kids head back to school today after being off for 4 days.  Our teachers are holding one day strikes and the dates for their board was Monday and Tuesday.  They're at school today and tomorrow and then off Friday for a  PA Day.  They have had a LOT of time off.  Don't get me wrong, I love my boys but they need to go back to school!!!

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the incredible Linda Callahan!  Linda's cards are just beautiful and she always has a witty story to make you laugh so head over to her blog to check it out!

So I actually struggled a bit with this giant rectangle!  I had a few ideas in mind that I tried but they didn't really work.  Anyhow, my trusty Honey Bee stamp set was sitting out and I knew it was going to be the answer.  My rectangle became a beehive and some honeycomb!  I just can't get over how much I love the bee paper as well!  It's part of the Sale-a-bration sale so if you haven't taken advantage of that and grabbed some, you need to!!!

Head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has created!  You will be inspired!

I hope you have an amazing week!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #421

We have a fantastic new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the amazingly talented and absolute Queen of Clean, Jen Mitchell!  Jen's cards are always beautiful and she can create such gorgeous, clean cards!  I am always in awe!  Head over to her blog to check them out!

I kinda knew what I wanted to do with Jen's sketch when I saw it.  I love my poppy stamps.  You guys already know that.  I decided I wanted to try out the "bunch" of poppies this time!  I had to try some gold embossed on black and then I wanted to do some where I coloured them!  I decided the plain white background was a little to sparse so I used the pinewood planks embossing folder to add in some texture.
