Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #483

Hello!

Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week so far!  I totally spaced on my blog post again.  Having the kids home again for online school means someone always has my laptop!  It's taking a bit to get used to having everyone home and changing my schedule.  I used to do blog posts during the day but have to do them in the evening when my laptop isn't in such high demand!  By the time I get the hang of it, it will be summer break!

We have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess is the amazing Narelle Farrugia.  Narelle's cards are always divine.  Her layers, her fussy cutting and those flowers!  They always make my heart skip a beat!  Head over to her blog to check them out!

I wanted to channel my inner Narelle for this card.  I grabbed some flowers and coloured away.  Threw on some layers and I was off to the races.  I regretted not throwing on some gold thread though.  I actually made a second card that was almost the same and put thread on, totally made all the difference!

Supplies:

Cardstock: Whisper White

Stamps: Forever and Always, Pansy Patch, French Foliage

Ink: Basic Black, Memento Black

Other: Pierced Blooms Dies, Double Stitched Circle Dies, Clear Drops, Dimensionals

Thanks again for stopping by!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the challenge for the week!

Have an amazing day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #482

Hello!

Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having an amazing start to your week!  We are having typical crazy Canadian spring weather (though I think I am seeing some crazy weather in the US as well)!  One day it's warm and sunny and the kids are in shorts and today it snowed.  Seriously.  The poor robins!

Weather aside, we have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the super talented and creative Karren Johnson!  I am always amazed by Karren's gorgeous cards!  Head over to her blog to check them out!

I must say that the slimline cards stress me out a little.  I never know how to approach them which sounds pretty weird.  I know you can get a lot of slimline geared dies now and maybe that's what I need to invest in!  I had to try the new Pansy dies from SU on this one though.  I just couldn't help myself.  I love them so much.   I think I should have made the darker cardstock the longer piece and the shorter piece the gingham but it can't be changed now.

Supplies:

Cardstock: Whisper White, Blackberry Bliss, Fresh Freesia, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen

DSP: Pansy Petals

Stamps: Clubhouse (Sentiment)

Ink: Blackberry Bliss

Other: Pansy Dies, Dainty Diamonds Textured Embossing Folder, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll head on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to check out the truly amazing cards the Design Team ladies have created!  They're fabulous!

Have an wonderful day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #381

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I trust you're having a great start to your week!  Our kids are on their delayed Spring Break this week so they're home and bored out of their trees!  Ontario is back in lockdown so nothing is open and the weather has been crummy so far.  They had golf games planned all week but so far have only gotten one in!  Hopefully the weather improves and they can get out for some rounds!

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is or diecut queen, Cecile Ribon!  Head over to Cecile's blog if you want to see some absolutely stunning cards!

So, as you can imagine, as soon as I saw this I might have had a small panic attack.  So not is there just one circle but 9!  9 circles!  My neighbour has asked me to make a 12th birthday card for her niece so I started with that card!  I noticed the Golden Honey paper from last year's Sale-a-bration sitting on my shelf though and decided that I would use that to make another card and try and tackle my circle aversion!

 Supplies:

Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Magenta Madness, Pink Sparkle, Gold Foil, Silver Foil
DSP: Golden Honey
Stamps: Honey Bee, Clubhouse
Ink: Basic Black
Other: 1" Circle Punch, Detailed Bee Dies, Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder, Golf Dies, Butterflies Dies (Taylored Expressions), Stampin' Blends, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has crafted to be an inspiration.

We hope you'll join in our challenge this week!

Have an amazing week!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #480

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week so far!  I hope you had a lovely Easter weekend!  We had a nice quiet weekend which is okay with me.  The Easter bunny forgot to bring me some chocolate.  Not sure what happened there so I made myself a chocolate cake today instead!  Ha!  I love chocolate way too much!

Okay, must stop thinking about chocolate!  We have a brand new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  I am this week's hostess and I'm excited!  I love seeing all the different cards that can come from one sketch!  I decided to go all wonky this week!  It's totally out of my comfort zone.  I like nice, classic lines.  These wonky ones actually drive me crazy but it's good to stretch ourselves sometimes isn't it?

I love the Oh So Ombre paper that was available as part of SU's Sale-a-bration this year.  It's so pretty and I thought I'd use it for this card.  I also decided to do two cards in two different shades!  I do love Bermuda Bay and Blackberry Bliss.  And yes, there are Pierced Blooms on there again.  I'm sorry.  No, I'm not.  I love them and I'll probably keep using them until my next SU order comes!

Supplies:

Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White

DSP: Oh So Ombre

Stamps: Itty Bitty Birthdays

Ink: Black, Blackberry Bliss

Other: Pierced Blooms Dies, Stitched Banner (no idea where this is from), Curved Stitching (also not sure where this is from), Dimentionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the other amazing cards!  I can't wait to see what you create this week!

Have an amazing week!
