Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #188

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week!  I can't believe that we are already in the last week of May!  Where on earth did May go?!  My oldest turned 9 last week!  I remember the day I went into labour with him like it was yesterday.  Seems unreal that it could be 9 years ago.

Being Wednesday, we have a great new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our lovely hostess this week is none other than the talented Karren Johnson!  Karren makes such beautiful cards!  I love her creativity!
I put this card together rather quickly but I can't say that I'm thrilled with it.  I wanted to do black, white and gold but I realize now I should have used vanilla instead of white!  I didn't have time to go back and try and change it!  I had to add some butterflies because, well, who doesn't love butterflies!!!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White
Stamps: In a Big Way (Reverse Confetti), Butterfly Basics
Ink: Versamark
Other: Gold Embossing Powder, Butterfly Thinlits, Bitty Butterfly Punch, Basic Pearls, Stitched Rectangles (Lil' Inkers), Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the fabulous cards the Design Team has created!  You will not be disappointed!

Have a great day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #187

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  This week is flying by already!  We had such an amazing long weekend!  The boys went flying Saturday morning then we headed to Niagara Falls Saturday afternoon.  After a great game of mini golf, dinner at the rainforest cafe and a ride on the Skywheel we headed to the Greg Frewin Magic Show!  It was amazing.  The boys were in awe!  I mean, how do you make someone disappear and then replace them with a tiger?  The boys did a little quad copter flying with a friend on the weekend and of course there were a few dips in the pool!  Now we are back to winter here and the windchill tonight is supposed to be below zero!

We have a great new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches this week!  Our amazing hostess is Cindy Lovell!  Cindy is so talented and her cards are so creative!  Hop over to her blog and check out all her fine creations!

I need to have a few birthday cards on hand for some upcoming special events!   I love "The Tweet Life" from Reverse Confetti!  Those birds just make me smile!  I wish I could colour them but I'm not a big fan of colouring and I haven't yet started my collection of Copics!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Strawberry Slush
DSP: Retired scraps from SU!
Stamps: The Tweet Life (Reverse Confetti)
Ink: Memento Black
Other: 4X4 Journal Die (My Creative time), Double Banner Die Confetti Cuts, The Tweet Life Confetti Cuts, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

 They aren't twins at all!!!

 My and my sweet Jake

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #186

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  Can you believe it's Wednesday already?!  Wow!  Where did the week go?  Where is May going?  My oldest son's 9th birthday is fast approaching.  I don't know where the time has gone!

We have had a chilly start to the week here.  We had a lovely weekend and suddenly the winds have blown in some mighty cold air.  I am looking forward to that warm summery weather coming back very soon!

We have a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week!  I have the privilege of being this week's hostess.  I always feel so inferior next to the talented group of ladies that I work with!  What an honour to get to create cards with these gals every week!

Yup, that's a circle you see on that sketch!  Can you believe I did that?!  I am trying to cure myself of that aversion to circles!  Actually, truth be told, I knew the sentiment I wanted to use when I came up with the sketch and knew it would fit nicely in a circle - I didn't realize my circle would turn out so big!

Supplies:
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant
Stamps: In a Big Way (Reverse Confetti)
Ink: Elegant Eggplant
Other: Big Polka Dot TIEF, Stitched Rectangles (Lil' Inkers), Circle Punch, Edge Dies (Lil' Inkers - honestly I can't remember what they're called!), Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you have a great week!

Please head over to the Freshly Made Sketches Blog to see the cards the Design Team has created for you!  They are amazing (as always!)!

Have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #185

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week so far!  We have been having such lovely spring weather!  We even heated up the pool on the weekend so the kids could take their first dip of the season!  They dusted off their golf clubs and hit the driving range too!  I think summer is here to stay at our house!

We have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches courtesy of the incredibly talented Cindy Hall!  I love Cindy's cards!  They always make me smile!  Check out her blog and you won't be disappointed!

I realized that I hadn't tried out my new SU Butterfly Thinlits Dies!  I do love butterflies!  I wanted to keep the card pretty clean and simple.  I used the sentiment from the Butterfly Basics stamp set!  It seemed to fit perfectly in that little space!  I threw on some bling and I was done!!!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Silver
Stamps: Butterfly Basics
Ink: Black
Other: Butterfly Thinlits, Basic Rhinestones, Stitched Rectangles (Lil' Inkers), Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to check out the beautiful the cards the Design Team has created for you!  You will love them!

Have a fabulous day!
