Hello!
Happy Wednesday! I am so glad it's Wednesday. We are in week 2 or 3 of some very cold, bitter weather. As a Canadian, you would think I would be use to this weather but I'm not. I could totally be happy without having this extreme cold. We are looking forward to some more spring like weather starting next week! Hopefully it doesn't decide to go somewhere else instead!
I have the great honour of being the hostess this week at Freshly Made Sketches! You would not believe how stressful it is to come up with a sketch. I wanted a sketch that was very clean and simple. No circles! Not a one!
I decided I would make a card with no stamps! It was really fun. I was excited to use my thinlits dies on this card! As you can see I totally glued the Hello on crooked. Of course I didn't notice it until I uploaded the photo. I have a very crooked eye! I will just say that it add character!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Grey, Whisper White
DSP: Quatrefancy Specialty (Retired)
Other: Hello You Thinlits Die, Stitched Rectangles (Lil' Inkers), Silver Satin Ribbon, Dimenionals
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Please make sure you check out the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the fabulous card the design team has created for you. I look forward to seeing what you come up with this week! It's always so fun to see how many different cards can be created from one sketch!
Have a fabulous day!
Jen
Firstly, I love this color combo. Gray and yellow always look fantastic together. Secondly, I do see a circle on this card: the letter "o" in hello. And thirdly, thanks for giving us this beautiful sketch, circles optional! This is a very elegant card - your beautiful bow and silvery sentiment make it so.
ReplyDeleteLOL to Jen's comment above - you can't escape the circles... :) This is a great sketch and a fabulous card! The colors work so well together and I think the hello is so script-y that it doesn't look at all crooked. Wonderful stamp-free card, Jen!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors and that gorgeous bow. And I love the fabulous sketch. My husband was in Ottawa yesterday, and is in Montreal tonight. He said it is quite cold. He doesn't have a big heavy coat, so he took two of his coats to layer. Surely Spring will be there soon.
ReplyDeleteSo simple and yet so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove that elegant gray bow! This is lovely in every way! Sweet sketch and wonderful card!
ReplyDeleteGREAT sketch!! And absolutely perfect for showing off the big "hello"!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! I would have never thought to pair a bright yellow with gray! Thanks for the gorgeous color combo!
ReplyDeleteThank you for a great sketch this week Jen! And for the terrific inspirational card over at FMS! Hazel xx
ReplyDeleteSo, so pretty! How is it that I don't have that ribbon? Love the colors on this! Great sketch this week. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so simple and elegant!!! I always appreciate your sketches!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a very striking take on the sketch. The understated but very elegant color scheme is marvelous too. Blessings!
