Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #176

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  We here in Southern Ontario had a fun winter surprise today and ended up with some snow and freezing rain.  And here I thought we were done with winter!  The boys enjoyed it and still do love to go outside and play around in the snow!  They were playing some game outside with my neighbour's chocolate lab this afternoon.  It was cute to watch them getting stuck behind the shrubs with this endless energy dog!

We have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week!  This is going to make you think!  Well, it made me think anyhow!   Our fabulous hostess is the one and only Cindy Hall!  She has come up with a beauty!  Please head over to her blog and check out her amazing cards!  I do love Cindy's style!
I had a hard time with this card.  I am not at all happy with the finished product but I haven't been feeling the greatest the last few days and just couldn't figure out how to make this card fabulous!  Some days cards turn out just the way I want, some days they don't!    Thankfully tomorrow is another day!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black
DSP: Brights Paper Stack (retired)
Stamps: Papertrey Ink (I forget the name!)
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Black Rhinestones (random ones from my stash), Black Ribbon (SU), Large Scallop Die, Daisies #2 Die, Circle Punch, Dimensionals.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you get the chance to head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the beautiful cards the Design Team has created for you.  You will be so glad you did!

Have a fabulous day!

Jen

  3. Well, I love this card! That flower is fabulous and I love the layered scallops. This is such a crisp and fresh card. We're supposed to get snow again tonight, too. My kids are certainly hoping so. Surely this will be the last of winter!

  4. Jen, I know you haven't been well, but do you realise you voluntarily put a honking great circle on your card ;) Seriously, though this is one gorgeous card - the black really makes everything pop and I love the fresh and bright look.

  8. What's not to love about this card?!!! I love each and every detail. The colors, the accessories, and that flower is gorgeous. I think you used the space on this card perfectly. Amy summed it up well when she said "this is such a crisp and fresh card". I love it! When you feel better, you'll look at it and say "Oh, I guess it is pretty good!". :)
