Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #147
Hello!
Welcome to Wednesday! I hope you're having a great week so far! I am having a good week with Jacob! Caleb is enjoying his "vacation" with my mom and dad! Jake and I will be joining him next week so Jacob can have a vacation as well. Jake does well for a night or two by himself but then starts to miss Mom and Caleb. He has been going on already about how much he misses his brother. I have no idea how he could do two weeks without him!
We have a great new sketch today at Freshly Made Sketches! The incredibly talented Jennifer Timko has created this beauty for us! If you want to see some amazing creations, you need to check out my friend Jen's blog! She is one creative lady!
So, this sketch threw me for a loop! I tried a whole pile of different combinations. This is the one that stuck. In hindsight I should have matted the stripes but I wanted to keep the card simple.
Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Hello Honey
DSP: Moonlight DSP Stack
Stamps: Endless Wishes
Ink: Hello Honey
Other: Vintage Faceted Buttons, Gold Sequins, Bakers Twine, Dimensionals
Thanks again for stopping by today!
Please go and check out the Freshly Made Sketches blog and see what wonderful cards the Design Team has created for you!
Have a fabulous day!
Jen

You are rockin' that Hello Honey! Looks great with the touch of gold! And I love how your little guy misses his brother!
ReplyDeleteVery cute, Jen! I love how you've kept everything CAS with fun touches of bling with the sequins and button. Enjoy your one-on-one time with your little ones! That is truly special time to them, and you as well.
ReplyDeleteWow, Jen! I love this super clean and contemporary card! LOVE the colors and strped panels, and the faceted button/twine are perfect. CASEing this one, for sure! :)
ReplyDeleteAmazing how much they miss each other isn't it? So sweet. I love how you used this DSP and the sequins are a great touch!
ReplyDeleteI think the striped DSP looks great - no matting required! And I love the bit of sparkle from the sequins and the faceted button!
ReplyDeleteI think the panels look just fine unmatted, Jen! The stripes draw the eye and I love those sequins.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't look like you struggled at all Jen! This is a totally fabulous and totally clean card!
