Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #143
Hello!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you're having a great week! I am loving summer holidays! They couldn't have come soon enough! I am very sorry that I haven't been posting much. Our church's summer camp is next week and my friend and I are in charge of the card making elective so I have been going crazy getting projects ready for camp! Now all my "stuff" is packed up and I'm not sure when (or how!) I'll make my next card!
We have a great sketch at Freshly Made Sketches today! Cindy Lovell has created a beauty for us! Cindy is so incredibly talented and creates the most amazing cards! I could spend hours looking at her blog!
I had a few minutes to open the my box of goodies from the new catalogue. I love the "Kinda Eclectic" stamp set. It's so fun to work with and of course I love the butterflies! I couldn't wait to work with it! I saw this evil circle on the sketch and knew right away what I would do! Take that circle element!!!! I tried different "banners" with a sentiment on it but nothing worked. I decided I would try stamping directly on some natural ribbon. I flipped the chevron ribbon over and voila! It suited the card better than anything else I had tried!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White
Stamps: Kinda Eclectic, Another Thank You
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Pool Party
Other: Chevron Natural Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Elegant Butterfly Punch, Small Butterfly Punch
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Please make sure you check out the Freshly Made Sketches blog! The Design Team has once again created some amazing cards! I am so fortunate to be working with such a creative bunch!
Have a fabulous day!
Jen

Jen, this is stunning, eye-catching, awesome!! The sunburst, paired with the polka-dots and sentiment ribbon are amazing, and those butterflies...oh my! Swooning over how gorgeous this is!! The camp people are so fortunate to have you leading them in making cards, as you're icredibly talented and creative. Be sure to share photos; I'd love to see what you and the group create!

ReplyDeleteLook at you conquering your circle phobia! You didn't even use a different shape (which would have been perfectly fine) -- so proud of you! I love what you've done with this set, and I love how you stamped on the ribbon -- I wouldn't have thought it would come out that crisp and clean. Love it, Jen!
