Hello!
Happy Wednesday! Can you believe we are halfway through the week!? How did that happen?! I must say I am looking forward to the end of the week! It's been a busy one for sure! Jacob is going to a birthday party tonight and won't be home for dinner so I asked Caleb what he would want for dinner since Jacob isn't going to be around. Jacob piped up immediately and said "have perogies...I had perogies!" So...perogies it is! Caleb will be super excited for dinner tonight!
We had a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week! This week's sketch is brought to us by the super talented Jen Mitchell! Hop on over to her blog if you want to see just how talented she is!!
I shamefully used the Fresh Prints DSP Pack again! I love this pack and I love that there are enough sheets that I can make lots of cards! I know you just saw this paper in yesterday's post....you're probably getting sick of it...unfortunately I'm not!!!!
I have said before I can't colour worth beans so the poppies were stamped on white and stamped on red and then fussy cut out of the red and glued on. I really should give colouring a try again...someday...!!!!
I used the Needlepoint Border Embossing folder along the edge of the DSP - it's hard to see in the picture but I wanted to add a bit of texture to the white cardstock without embossing the whole background.
Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red
DSP: Fresh Prints DSP Stack
Stamps: Create a Cupcake, Pleasant Poppies
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Basic Rhinestones, Needlepoint Border Embossing Folder, Circle Punch, Scalloped Circle Punch, Real Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you are able to pop over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out what the design team has come up with! You won't be disappointed!
Have a fabulous day!
Jen
One of my favorite odor combos! That DSP is perfect with the poppies! Pretty card!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous and stunning card!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful bright card, Jen, and good job on the non-colored, colored flowers :) You really should try the alcohol markers when they come out because they make coloring so easy even I can do it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card! I love the DP and the gorgeous Poppies with their blingy centers. The red/white/black colour combo is so striking.
