Freshly Made Sketches #56

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  Today is going to be a busy day for me!  I am getting lots of last minute things ready before my husband and I head off for a few days for our anniversary!  I am also working at the school today which always cuts my day short!

Wednesday brings us a new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches!  This week the very talented Rita Wright has a great sketch for us!  You should head over and check out her blog!  She also has the cutest little girl!!!   Those pictures always make me smile!!!

I decided I wanted to use my Field Flowers set for this card!  I see rectangles and immediately think Field Flowers!  I can't help it!!!  I started out with a card in mind (see the card below) but when it was finished I wasn't a big fan so I decided I needed to make this one!  I am much happier with the results!

Cardstock: Very Vanilla, More Mustard, So Saffron
DSP: Seriously...I can't remember but it's retired...(how terrible is this?!)
Stamps: Field Flowers

Supplies for Card #2:

Stamps: Field Flowers
Ink: Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip
Other: Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Basic Pearls, Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you have a fabulous day!

  1. Wow, they are so different...how cool is that! The colors on the first card (well, second one made) are really pretty! Love how you used the embossing folder on the crossing panel. The brown is really pretty too..a win either way!

  4. Gorgeous cards, Jen! Field Flowers is one of my favorite sets. You have showcased it beautifully, especially with the pearl centers! The brown is awesome with the splash of color from the DSP!

  6. I love them both. I had no idea that Field Flowers would look so good in browns! I love how the woodgrain folder makes the paper look like it's folded on the first one too. Great job on both! I hope you enjoy your time away for your anniversary!

  7. Well, I think they're both pretty fantastic! First I really like one, then I look at the other and I really like that one too! Just goes to show the versatility of that beautiful stamp! Have a great time on your trip. And don't spend too much time in Target!

  12. Both cards are gorgeous, but the one is the golden colors is my favorite! I love how you used the woodgrain folder; used like this, it makes a great replacement for the crimping tool. Really, really pretty!
