Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #365

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  Hope you're having a great week so far!  How's the Christmas decorating coming along at your house?  We have our tree up.  That's it.  It doesn't have lights on it and it's not decorated.  We decided we should probably do the tree in stages so that our "kitten" Sprite gets used to it since it's her first Christmas.  She doesn't seem concerned with the tree yet which is good but I fear she will try and eat the lights and my decorations may be history.  I guess we'll soon see!!!

We have a new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  I have the honour of being this week's hostess!  It's always fun being the hostess and coming up with a sketch.  We've had so many amazing cards in the gallery that it's often so hard to choose winners!  I'm super excited to see what you come up with!

Of course I'm still behind on my Christmas cards.  I'll probably never have them done.  Yes, I should start in January but I'm just never that motivated!

Anyhow, I hadn't intended to use this particular set for this card and actually started using a different set but this is what we ended up with.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Grey Granite
DSP: Festive Farmhouse
Stamps: Alpine Adventure
Ink: Smokey Slate, Cherry Cobbler
Other: Alpine Sports Thinlits, Clear Epoxy Drops, Subtle Texture Embossing Folder

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has created for you!  You will not be disappointed!

Have a fabulous day!

Jen

  3. I am loving that DSP! It looks great with the snow shoes! And good luck with the tree. This year is the first time in seven years that I have put ornaments on my Christmas tree. (Seven years being how long it's been since my kitties were adopted). So far they show no interest in it! So even if this year is a bust there's hope in the future!

  4. What a great sketch you came up with, Jen! So many different ways to use it! And your card is gorgeous - so warm and peaceful - although I'm sure the snow shoes are not something you would like to have to wear, seeing as it means snow!

  5. Least you've got a tree up.....thinking my tree to way to big and too messy to put up this year. I want little kids again that enjoy putting it up with me! You card is just gorgeous and those colours are really pretty for Xmas! This sketch is a keeper!!!
