Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #351

Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week!  We are in our second last week of summer holidays and it makes me sad.  We've had a wonderful summer and I've enjoyed each part of it and I am so sad that it's soon over.  Yesterday was my youngest's 10th birthday!  I cannot believe my baby is 10!  Seems like it was just yesterday that he rushed into the world!  Time flies by too quickly!

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is one of our amazing Texan design team members - Amy O'Neill!  Amy is our colour specialist!  She can combine any colour with a ton of different elements and make the card look spectacular!  Head over to her blog and check out her gorgeous cards!

As I'm posting this I realize that I put my sentiment in the wrong spot.  I don't know why I thought it was supposed to go on the banner!  I hope the girls don't fire me!!

I love the little flowers from the Beautiful Bouquet so I decided to use those for this card!  I opted to use Kraft paper as the background to keep everything neutral.  Of course I threw on some gold sequins!!!  Why not?!

Cardstock: Kraft, Whisper White
Stamps: Beautiful Bouquet,  Essential Sentiments
Ink: Basic Black, Versamark
Other: Bouquet Bunch Framelit Dies, White Embossing Powder, Gold Sequins, Dimensioanls

Thanks again for stopping by!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has created for your inspiration!

Have a fabulous week!

  1. Ooh, I love how the white flowers look against the kraft background. This is gorgeous!

  2. I love the sweet flowers against the kraft! Pretty!

  3. I love all of the "kraft" space with the sweet white flowers. This card reminds me of the song, "My Favorite Things" from the Sound of Music -- "brown paper packages tied up with string, these are a few of my favorite things." Never mind that there is no string on your card. Nor is it a package. Sorry for my rambling! Enjoy the last of your vacation

  4. The white against the kraft really pops! Gorgeous card, Jen!

  5. This is really pretty! I love the craft and the touches of gold. And you know it takes more than that to get fired, lol!!! ;-)
