Happy Wednesday!  It's been a whirlwind week here so far.  Somehow the days have blurred.  I hope all my American friends enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving weekend!  I've started to get some Christmas decorating done.  Our tree is up.  It's naked but it's up.  Let's just say that within 5 minutes of the tree being up it had a furry decoration.  Pepsi (our cat) has decided that the tree is the perfect perch.  We are waiting a few days to see if she is able to actually knock the tree down before we put any decorations on it!!!

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our lovely hostess this week is the one and only Amy O'Neill!  Amy is the colour goddess on the team!  She can put any two colours together and make them look fabulous!  Oh, and she's the queen of "elements"!  I love what she adds to her cards!  Head over to her blog and check it out!
So of course I"m still working on Christmas cards.  I think I may get a few more done but I sure didn't get as many done as I would have liked.  Oh well.  I love the Merry Little Christmas DSP from SU and decided to use it for this card.  I threw in some real read and some red foil paper and voila!

Cardstock: Whipser White, Real Red, Red Foil
DSP: Merry Little Christmas
Stamps: Carols of Christmas
Ink: Stazon Black
Other: Oval Dies, Star Dies, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the amazing cards the Design Team has created for your inspiration!

Have a fabulous day!

  1. I love this, Jen (especially the paper ;)! This fabulous sentiment works perfectly with the sketch. Thanks for the kind words, and I'm hoping Pepsi will be bored with the tree by the time you put on the ornaments.

  2. I love the buffalo plaid background! Bright and cheery for the holidays!

  3. Stunning card! I love that sentiment font, and it's so perfect with the gorgeous buffalo plaid!!!

  4. Stunning card! I love that sentiment font, and it's so perfect with the gorgeous buffalo plaid!!!

  5. I have two cats that have never shown any interest in the tree itself, but we can't put ornaments on the bottom third of the tree!! It's odd looking but we're used to it. LOVE that sentiment as the focal point of your card.

  6. One of my kitties used to sleep in the Christmas tree when she was little! As they've gotten older their interest in the tree has faded a bit so hopefully Pepsi won't give you too much trouble. :) I'm really loving this card. The black, red, and white colors are a great combination and that bold plaid background really sets off the sentiment.

  7. Beautiful and bold card, Jen! That paper is gorgeous and works so well with the big, bold sentiment.

  8. Love the pop of red with that fantastic black and white plaid! What a wonderful card!

  9. Merry Little Christmas is my favourite for Christmas - you've created such a gorgeous Christmas card using this DSP!
