Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #238

Happy Wednesday!
I can't believe it's Wednesday already!  Monday was a holiday here in Canada (Victoria Day) so I'm all mixed up with what day it is!  I went around all day thinking it was Monday!  I almost forgot to do my post thinking I had an extra day!  Oh how these long weekends mess with my head!  We did have a gorgeous weekend though and have started the week off with some super warm summer weather!  I love it!

We have a great new sketch today at Freshly Made Sketches courtesy of the amazing Kim Singdahlsen.  Kim makes beautiful cards!  I mean, truly amazing cards.  She is one of the chief enablers on our team!!!

Okay, you may find this scary (or amusing) but when I saw Kim's sketch, I saw circles!  I knew right away I wanted to use my PTI Dot Spot stamp set.  I had it out to do a card for camp and realized it would work perfectly with the sketch!  I used clear embossing powder on the coloured cardstock!

Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green
Stamps: Sentiment Flags (Lil' Inkers), Dot Spot (PTI)
Ink: Versarmark, Stazon Black
Other: Softly Falling Embossing Folder, Clear Embossing Powder, Circle Punches, Stitched Flag Die (Lil' Inkers), Stitched Rectangles (Lil' Inkers), Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the amazing cards the Design Team has created for you!

Have a fabulous day!

  1. I am loving all the dots and circles I see here.....circles!!! The black backdrop is fabulous.......beautiful way to make the colors pop!

  2. Bold and bright and FUN! Love those colored circles against the black background. And I'm so proud of you -- circles!

  3. Jen, I love that you chose to use circles when you didn't have to! And what an amazing job you did with those circles - the colours pop against the black background. Love this card!

  4. Not only am I shocked that you saw this sketch and thought of circles but I'm shocked that you even own Dot Spot! That set is nothing but circles upon circles! I'm glad to see that you are making strides overcoming your fears! :) That set is a favorite of mine and it is perfect for the sketch! Such a clever design you've made!

  5. Very bright and beautiful! All those circles look amazing, and the colors are so vibrant!

  6. I love your stunning and fun take on the sketch! Those bold circles are perfect. Love the colors you chose!

  7. Love this card Jen! And look at you - loads of circles AND you didn't even have to use them as they weren't even in the sketch. I'm putting circles on my next sketch ;)

  8. I'm not sure how you got circles out of the sketch, but I'm glad you did!! What a fun celebration card!!
