Freshly Made Wishes

Hello!
I hope everyone has had a good weekend.  We had a fairly low key weekend which was nice.  My husband took the boys to the flying field this afternoon.  It was so nice to have a few hours to myself unfortunately most of the time it was spent doing work around the house!

I needed a special card this week and used the Freshly Made Sketches sketch to create it!

I am really going to miss the "I (heart) hearts" stamp set when it retires!  It comes in really handy at times!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Basic Black
Stamps: I (heart) Hearts, Petite Pairs
Ink: Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, More Mustard, Island Indigo
Other: Modern Label punch, Basic Rhinestones,  Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Dimensionals

Clean and Simple Birthday

Hello!
Sorry for not posting the last couple of days.  I haven't made it in the craft room to make cards!  I got a few loot bags made for my son's birthday yesterday and worked on some door hangers today so hopefully I will get some photos of those in the very near future!

This is a card I made a while ago - and then went back and changed it a bit!  It was for the Clean and Simple card challenge (CAS165) on Splitcoast Stampers a few weeks ago.  I don't know why I haven't posted it until now!

The challenge was to create a clean and simple card using scallops!  I hadn't used my pennant punch in a while and decided that it would be perfect to make a card with.  I need a few French cards so I thought I would make this one up using a French sentiment!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you have a great weekend!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight
Ink: Basic Black, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight
Stamps: Pennant Parade, Happiest Birthday Wishes (French version)
Other: Dimensionals, Basic Rhinestones

Mojo Birthday Squares

 Hello!
Hope everyone had a great Tuesday!  Wednesday here means skating lessons for both boys...ugh.  My oldest loves skating and is great on his skates.  My youngest...not so much!

Well, I got my Mojo Monday card done today!  Along with a few other baby cards!

I was a little stumped what to do with all those squares but then decided that I would use my Boho Blossoms punch to create some cute little flowers.  I have also decided that I really do love Elegant Eggplant and Perfect Plum!  Who knew purple could be so fun?!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you have a great day!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant
Stamps: Happiest Birthday Wishes
Ink: Versamark, Elegant Eggplant
Other: Boho Blossoms Punch, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals, White Embossing Powder, Scalloped Circle Punch

CAS-ual Baby

 Hello!
I hope your week has started out well!  I wasn't too impressed with the weather we had here in Southern Ontario - including some snow!  Thankfully it did not stay on the ground!   Looking forward to warmer weather towards the end of the week!

I had a friend deliver her baby last week at 29 weeks gestation.  Her little princess is a mere 1.9 lbs and has started the biggest fight of her life.  Her mom had an emergency c-section (due to pre-eclampsia) and is recovering but they are struggling to accept this new normal.  We have been praying for this dear family and their new little bundle!

I wanted to make a special card for them to let them know that we are thinking of them and praying for them but also congratulating them on this special arrival!

I used the CAS-ual Fridays sketch this week to come up with the idea for the card.  I had seen the cute dresses a few different places and thought they would be cute for the card!  They are made using the Owl belly from the 2-step Owl Builder Punch.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum
Stamps: Baby Bundle
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Basic Pearls, Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon

Freshly Made Sympathy

 Hello!
I hope everyone had a great weekend!  We had a great weekend here and we're looking forward to a busy week.  A dear friend of mine's husband lost his grandmother this week and I wanted to send a card to let them know that we are thinking of and praying for them.

I decided to use the Freshly Made Sketches card this week for my starting point.  I must say this card took several attempts...I tried my hardest to use a circle for the centre but alas...I decided a rectangle fit better with the card.

Tomorrow I will be back with a baby card for another dear friend!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla
Stamps: Elements of Style, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Soft Suede
Other: Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Word Window Punch, Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals

Hello!
Today didn't start out too great but turned into a great day!  We enjoyed some beautiful sunshine today and the boys had a great time playing with the neighbours outside!

I was asked to make a card for a friend. I decided to use the Splitcoast Stampers "Clean and Simple" card challenge.  This week it was  "sketch" challenge and you can check out the gallery here!

I love the Open Sea (if you hadn't guessed) and love using it for those masculine cards.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso
DSP: Nautical Expedition
Stamps: The Open Sea,  and a French one that I forget the name of!
Ink: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake

Mojo Flowers

 Hello!
Sorry for not getting my Mojo Monday card up yesterday!  The sketch stumped me and I can honestly say this card isn't at all what I envisioned when I started and it didn't turn out as I had planned.  I attempted a few times to turn it into what I wanted but unfortunately it didn't quite work out.

Anyhow, you can check out the current Mojo Monday sketch here.
I have seen some amazing cards posted on the Mojo Monday website this week - there sure are some amazing card makers out there!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Whisper White, Pool Party, Rich Razzleberry
DSP: Summer Smooches
Stamps: Loved Ones
Other: Summer Smooches Fabric Brads, Boho Blossoms Punch, Scalloped Circle Punch, Silver Brads, Dimensionals

CAS-ual Fridays Birthday

Hello!
I love CAS (Clean and Simple) cards...they totally fit my personality...which is kind of sad!  I found the CAS-ual Friday's sketch a little bit of a stretch for me this week since I had to use opposite colours!  It is fun to stretch the imagination!

The goal of CAS cards is to have a fair bit of "white" space...that being said the "white" space doesn't necessarily have to be white...I tend to prefer white for whatever reason!!!

Anyhow,  I wanted to use my Mixed Bunch stamp set again...I love this set and find I can use it for so much and get so many different cards out of it.  I also used my Melon Embossing Powder on this card to add a little extra something!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hopefully I'll have a Mojo Monday card for you tomorrow!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie
Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Curly Cute
Ink: Basic Black, Versamark
Other: Melon Embossing Power, Brights Button, Floss, Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Dimensionals

Colour Q Challenge

Hello!
It's Sunday and it's been a busy day!  If you haven't checked out Tiffany Bauer's Blog (My Crafty World) and her Crafty Picks this week!  My princess purse was featured this week!

I decided that I wanted to do the Colour Q challenge this week...unfortunately I didn't get my card uploaded in time...it's been one of those days!

Anyhow, this challenge is based solely on colours....the colour combination was one I hadn't worked with so I decided to give it a whirl!  I wanted to try some inlaid circles since I do enjoy the overall outcome!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Lucky Limeade, Basic Black
Ink: Basic Black
Stamps: Happiest Birthday Wishes
Other: Basic Black Satin Ribbon, Circle Punches, Scalloped Circle Punch, Dimensionals, Square Lattice Embossing Folder

Retiring Stamp Sets

It's here! The Stampin' Up! retired stamp list is now available...click here!

These stamps are available from April 15th until May 31st, 2012. Some of these stamps will be available "While Supplies Last" so if you wish to purchase something off this list - we recommend that you do it sooner than later!

The retiring accessories list will be available on April 25th, 2012 so stay tuned for that.

You will notice that this list is LONG...very long! Please remember that the holiday stamps (including Christmas) are being removed from the annual catalogue and placed in the new, larger mini catalogues.

There are a lot of stamps on here that are my favourites...my friend Lauren will be devastated when she sees Fox and Friends on that list! I must say that seeing Medallion on there shocked me...I guess we'll have to see what's in the new catalogue!

MOJO Mother's Day!

I am so excited tonight!  I was named "Perfect Princess" for the second week in a row at Freshly Made Sketches!  My thank you card (see a few posts below) was picked by Linda this week!  This is a great challenge to participate in so if you're looking for a new challenge each week - check this one out!

My wrist is getting stronger so I have been making a few more cards!  I wanted to give the MOJO Monday challenge (MOJO236) a whirl this week!

Mother's Day is quickly approaching...I had better get some cards ready for that!  Despite SU's Sale-A-Bration being over I can't resist using the Everyday Enchantment DSP!  I think it's perfect for Mother's Day.

This sketch looks quite simple but I found getting the right colour combination a little challenging!

DSP: Everyday Enchantment
Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Versamark
