Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #433

Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're all keeping well and haven't gone completely bonkers stuck at home!  I must say that I don't mind being trapped at home.  As an introvert, I'm quite happy at home!!  My little squirrel (aka Jacob) is not so excited about it.  The boys have had a bit too much together time and could use a little time apart.  We'll have to figure out how to make that work!

Well, quarantine aside, we have a brand new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the incredible Jen Mitchell!  Jen is the queen of creating super clean and simply amazing cards.  Head over to her blog to check out her creations!
So at first I wasn't too sure what to do with this sketch.  That blob in the centre kinda frightened me.  Then I remembered that I needed to make a masculine 16th birthday card for someone.  I decided to use this sketch as the basis for my card.

I hauled out the old Off the Grid Stamp set from SU and went to work.  Black and silver seemed like a good option for a masculine card so that's what I went with.

Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Silver Foil
Stamps: Off the Grid, Clubhouse (sentiment)
Ink: Versamark
Other: Silver Embossing Powder, Large Number Dies, Golf Club Dies

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has created!

Have an amazing week!

  1. Off the Grid works perfectly here! Great card! I feel like we are all off the grid these days!

  2. Totally perfect for a 16th birthday!! I love Off the Grid - it's a great accent to the big "16".

  3. This is stunning!! I LOVE the formal feel to this card and that grid stamp is perfection under the shiny 16. GORGEOUS card!!

  4. This is the PERFECT card for a 16th birthday. Fantastic!!
