Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #387

Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great start to your week so far!  We've had a good week.  The boys got out for their first round of golf this week.  They were so excited.  The next round is scheduled for Friday night.  It's amazing how much they seem to love it.  I wish I shared that love so we could all go out together - but I don't!  And I'm totally okay with that.

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is our favourite French designer Cecile Ribon!  Cecile has the most unique and intricate die cuts for her cards.  They always amaze me!  Head over to her blog and check them out!

Well, Mother's Day is quickly coming and I needed one more card so I put this one together.  I think it's prettier in person than it is in the photo.  The leaves in the sketch stumped me for a bit until I found these flowers from Reverse Confetti.  I coloured them up and was off to the races.  The part that took me the longest was trying to get that thread to look okay.  I am not good with random and haphazard.

Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Silver Foil
Patterned Paper: Taylored Expressions
Stamps: Tall Blooms (Reverse Confetti), Happy Mother's Day (PTI - can't remember the set)
Ink: Versamark, Memento Black
Other: Tall Blooms Confetti Cuts (Reverse Confetti), Silver Thread, In Flight Overlays (Taylored Expressions), Silver Embossing Powder, Stampin Blends, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has created for your inspiration!  You won't be disappointed!

Have a fabulous day!

  1. I love black and yellow! Beautiful!

  2. I love this pretty flower! It's perfect for Mother's Day. If you don't like playing golf, maybe you could drive the cart. Golf courses are so pretty. Or you could use the hours they're away to stamp. Hmmm...tough choice.

  3. They can golf and YOU can craft - seems perfect to me!! I love your soft yellows and teeny butterflies against the dark background - a lovely look!

  4. This is so sweet!! I love the yellow and black. The way you have the flower is amazing.

  5. Yellow and black is such a fun combo and you've created a wonderful bright and cheerful card!

  6. Wow, Jen! This is delightful! You turned my sketch into such a classy card!

  7. One of my favorite color combos! I love those polka dotted banners!
