Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #340

Hello Everyone!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great start to your week!  We're having a great week here. My oldest got braces on yesterday.  Let's just say that he's not as impressed as I'd hoped he be.  His food has to be cut into tiny little pieces for right now - until he gets used to chewing with the braces on.  To think we have to survive 18 months of this!  Then do it all over again with the second one!  What we do for our kids to have straight teeth!

We have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the lovely and extremely creative Karren Johnson.  Karren's colouring is always mind blowing and you need to go and check out her blog.  I'm totally going to New Zealand for colouring lessons!!!

I love the versatility of Karren's sketch.  I knew right away what I wanted to make.  I know, it's shocking.  I couldn't believe it myself.  I found the stamp set that I wanted to use and then had to go searching through bags and bags of camp projects to find the dies I needed!  I am thankful I wrote down which bag they were in, it's just that I haven't labelled the bags yet!!!  I coloured in the letters using the Stampin' Blend Markers and may have used some Wink of Stella on the word "Shine".

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight
Stamps: Shine Bright (Reverse Confetti)
Ink: Memento Black
Other: Sun n Clouds Confetti Cuts (Reverse Confetti), Simples Stripes Embossing Folder, Dimensionals, Wink of Stella

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has created for your inspiration!  I hope you'll also welcome our newest Guest Designer Laurie Unger!

Have a fabulous day!

Jen

  1. I love this cute, happy sun and your ombre sentiment. This is such a fun card. Braces are no fun, but the end result is so worth it.

  2. We were both thinking yellow this week! Love your bright sunshine! And braces are no fun! My son escaped them but my daughter ended up with them twice!

  5. You are always welcome here, Jen. So pop on over anytime! What a beautiful, crisp and fresh card you've created. The striped embossing is subtle but so effective and that sentiment is just gorgeous!
