Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #249

Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week!  We went to our first Major League Baseball game on Monday night!  The boys were in Heaven!  The Blue Jays took on the Tampa Bay Rays!  Thankfully the Blue Jays came out on top!  It was a great game and a fun trip into downtown Toronto on the train!  The boys can't wait for the next game!  What they don't know is it will be an afternoon game!!!  Late nights aren't my favourite thing!

We have a great new sketch today at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our amazing hostess this week is the one and only Kim Singdahlsen.  Kim's cards are beautiful and she is so creative!  Head over to her blog to check them out!

I had to think about this sketch for a while.  I wasn't sure what to do.  Then I decided that I wanted a nautical theme and went from there.  I opted for red, white and blue.  It seems to be a nautical colour scheme doesn't it?   I used The Open Sea from SU.  I love that set.  I think it will be one of the ones I keep forever!

Cardstock: Whipser White, Real Red, Night of Navy
Stamps: The Open Sea,
Ink: Night of Navy
Other: Embossing Folder, Circle Punch, Warm Welcome Dies (Lil' Inkers), Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the amazing cards the Design Team has come up with for your inspiration!

Have a fabulous day!

  1. Ahoy matey! I love the crisp nautical card you created! And I bet your boys enjoyed that!

  2. Woo hoo for your first baseball game! Maybe one day you can see the Blue Jays play the Boston Red Sox and then we'll really have some fun! I'm never very good at creating nautical cards but you obviously don't have that problem because this is pretty awesome!

  3. I love that embossing folder with your nautical theme! Everything looks so crisp and clean. Love it, Jen!

  4. Great use of the sketch, Jen! Red, white and blue plus a nautical theme is such a cool look.

  5. LOVE what you came up with! The texture on that panel is a fabulous backdrop for your nautical theme!

  6. Love how you used the embossing on the vertical panel. Great masculine card!!

  7. Perfectly clean and perfect theme! I love this card Jen - it's a perfect man card!
