Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #122

Happy Wednesday!  They are calling for a pile of snow here so we shall see what really happens!  I think we have enough snow and spring can come any time!!!  I am wondering if school will be cancelled today...probably not, this is Canada!

We have a brand new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week!  The fabulously talented Cindy Hall has come up with a great sketch for us!
There was a birthday at our house earlier in the week!  My darling husband celebrated his birthday on Monday!  He's a hard guy to make cards for - though he always loves and appreciates whatever I make!  I used this week's sketch to create his birthday card!   I tried to make it as manly as I could!  He probably would have preferred it if it had an airplane on it!

Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Silver
DSP: Festival of Prints DSP Pack (Retired)
Stamps: Perfect Pennants
Ink: Versamark
Other: Candy Dots, Banners Framelits, Dimensionals, White Embossing Powder

Thanks for stopping by!  Please head on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the beautiful cards our design team has created!  We can't wait to see what you create!

Have a fabulous day!

  1. We were channeling b/w this week! I love your added pop of color! Striking!

  2. Wow, this is such a stand-out card, Jen. That beautiful white space with the black frame really makes this gorgeous card pop!

  3. Hi Jennifer,

Your card is so nice and bright and simple - very appealing to the eye. Nice and clean.

  4. What a perfect guy card! I love the crisp, clean look of the black and white. And the pop of blue is so striking. Love it, Jen! So sorry about the snow. While it's not exactly warm here (at least by Texas standards), at least we don't have any of that nasty snow. And I'm so thankful!

  5. Yep! This is soooooo striking! I love this colour combo and all your white space just adds to how elegant this card is!

  6. Love this Jen! Graphic and so striking!

  7. Awesome male card!! I love the colors and the banner with the big sentiment!!
