Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #578

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a good week and a great start to spring!  Is it spring where you live?  We've had some slightly above freezing temperatures and lots of sunshine so we'll call that a win with spring.  Our front lawn still has a couple of feet of snow on it so there's that.  We're supposed to have a springy week so I'm hoping some of this snow will melt!!  I'm done with it!

We've got a brand new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is Jacquie Southas!  Jacquie's cards are always fantastic and she's super creative so head over to her blog to check them out!

I had decided I wasn't going to use the Be Bold Blooms for this card.  I had even cut out other things to put on it but I couldn't make them work and I had these pink flowers just sitting on my desk asking to be used.  I decided to give them a try and voila.  Another card using these flowers is born!!  I'm so sorry.  Honestly, they've my favourite die right now!  They're super easy to use and you can come up with so many different colour and flower placement combinations!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic White, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Polished Pink, Granny Apple Green

Patterned Paper: In Colour 6X6 Pack, Sunshine and Rainbows 6X6 Pack

Ink: Melon Mambo, Garden Green

Other: Be Bold Blooms (Spellbinders), Stitched So Sweetly Dies (SU), Sequins, Yana's Special Sentiments (Spellbinders), Pink Foil, Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and join in our challenge!  You will find some amazing cards already posted on the blog!

Have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #576

Hello!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you're having a great week!  Today I'm spending the day with Jake at the ski hill!  It's a school trip - we shall see how this goes.  I will probably do my normal number of runs and then head to the chalet to read!  It's supposed to be a little chillier than I usually like to ski in so I'm hoping the heated products keep me nice and toasty warm!

We've got a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week!  Our hostess this week is our super talented, resident Texan, Amy O'Neill!  Amy's cards are always beautiful and I'm always amazed so head over to her blog to check them out!

So this sketch has a LOT of circles on it and you should all know by now how I feel about circles!  They are definitely not my fav but I knew what I wanted to do as soon as I saw the sketch!  I had picked up the Spellbinders Be Bold dies and I suspected they would be perfect!

I had fun putting the flowers together in different colours!  I had to channel my inner Amy!  I can't wait to play with these dies more!  I can see a lot of fun colour combinations!

I used my Glimmer machine to create the sentiment!  The glimmer machine makes sentiment creation so much easier!!!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Coastal Cabana, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, Garden Green, Wild Wasabi, Basic White, Crushed Curry

Ink: Petal Pink, Calypso Coral

Other: Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder, Be Bold Blooms (Spellbinders), Mini Everyday Sentiments (Spellbinders), Rose Gold Foil, Basic Rhinestones

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and join in our challenge!  We always have the best cards in the gallery so we want to see yours as well!

Have an amazing day!

Hello!

Happy Wednesday!  I hope you are having a great week!  I am so blessed to be spending a week with my parents in Ontario - though the damp weather is killing me!!  I can’t believe how much I’ve grown accustomed to the dry Alberta air!

We’ve got a brand new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week!  I am this week’s hostess and hope you’ll like the sketch I’ve come up with and want to play along!  I didn’t have time to make my card before I left for Ontario last week but thankfully my mom has an amazing craft room that I’ve been able to play in!  She even has a brand new die set that I couldn’t wait to try out!

I kinda veered away from my own sketch….sorry - I’ll blame it on still not feeling well and really wanting to use the Lovely Layers Magnolia Honey Cuts!!

Supplies:

Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride, Powder Pink, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Silver Foil, Vellum

Stamps: Bitty Buzzwords (Honey Bee Stamps)

Ink: Versamark Black, Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green

Other: Lovely Layers Magnolia Honey Cuts (Honey Bee Stamps), Bitty Buzzword Honey Cuts (Honey Bee Stamps), Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder (SU), Blending Brushes

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #573

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great start to your week!  I'm still recovering from a wicked case of Covid.  It was my first bout of it and man, it's been everything I thought it would be and so much more!  It's the gift that keeps on giving!  I'm hugely thankful to the very kind walk in clinic doctor who has me hooked up with some good medications to help recover from the fun chest infection that Covid has left in it's wake.  I've been told within 24 hours I should be feeling much better.  I can't wait.  It's been a very long 2 weeks!

We've got a brand new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches today!  Our hostess this week is the super creative Kim Singdahlsen!  Kim's cards are always amazing so you need to head over to her blog and check them out.  You will not be disappointed!

So this one stumped me.  I think the Covid has messed with my brain so focusing on this card for long periods of time was a challenge.  I finally realized I had some patterned paper from MFT that would work!  Of course I then added a flower which doesn't really fit in the sketch at all.  I'm basically just a disaster with this card!!!  I'm so thankful the DT girls are so forgiving!!!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride, Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight, Gold Foil, Hammermill Cover Stock

Patterned Paper: Feelin' Festive 6X6 Pack (MFT)

Ink: Melon Mambo, Strawberry Slush, Blushing Bride

Other: Lovely Layers Cone Flowers Honey Cuts (Honey Bee Stamps), Dazzling Diamonds Hot Foil Plate (Spellbinders), Just Wanted to Say Glimmer Hot Foil Plates (Spellbinders), Champagne Foil (Spellbinders)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and join in our challenge!  We always love to see what you create!  You'll find some amazing inspiration on the blog!  The Design Team has created some beauties that will get your creative juices flowing!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #572

Hello!

Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week so far!  We're having a chinook blowing through so the weather has been so lovely.  Very windy but nice and warm!  I can't believe we're in February and cruising our way into the middle of the month!  I feel like time is flying by!  I'd say we've made it through the worst of winter but I know better than that!  This is Alberta - we've still got months of winter ahead of us!!!

We've got a brand new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the lovely Linda Callahan!  Linda's cards always make me smile!  Please head over to her blog to see how amazing they are!  Linda's sketch is pretty amazing!  I wasn't sure I was going to be able to pull off a card because I had been feeling under the weather but I got one in in the nick of time!

I might have gone a little foil crazy on this card!  I had ordered some foil plates that first took forever to be shipped and then took forever to get here!  I've been wanting to try them all - just didn't realize I'd use a lot of them on one card!!  The background is also foiled.  I used black foil on black cardstock!  I do love the look - it looks much better in person!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Hammermill White Coverstock

Other: Dazzling Diamonds Foil Plate (Spellbinders), Be Bold Glimmer Sentiments (Spellbinders), Magnolia Glimmer Blooms (Spellbinders), Black Jewels, Gold Foil (Spellbinders)

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog!  There are some amazing cards there that will inspire you and hopefully you'll join in our challenge!

I hope you have the most amazing day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #571

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week!  We survived the polar vortex which included some unexpected snow.  Warmer temperatures are expected through the weekend which is lovely and something to look forward to.  I still can't believe we're almost done with January!  Usually I find January drags on but I feel like we blinked and it was over and done with!

We have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess is the wonderful Jen Mitchell - the absolute and ultimate Queen of Clean and Simple!  Her cards are beautiful so head over to her blog and check them out!

Jen has a lovely slimline sketch for us this week but I went against the grain and opted for a regular sized card -  mainly because I forgot it was supposed to be slimline and didn't want to go back and change it.

My husband has a birthday coming up this Friday and I always find masculine cards hard.  I found this paper at our local scrapbook store and knew it would work perfectly for his card!  I had to cut out those speech bubbles and since my reading glasses aren't ready yet so they aren't pretty cuts!!  Getting old is for the birds.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic White,

Patterned Paper: Pink Fresh (Authentic and Be Bold)

Other: Modest Greetings 1 Hot Foil Plate (Poppy Stamps), Silver Hot Foil

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out our challenge!  Hopefully you'll be inspired to join in this week!  We sure would love to have you play along.

I hope you have a wonderful day!
