Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #397
Hello!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you're having a great week so far! We had our church kids camp last week. It was the most amazing week ever. It was the most tiring week ever but wow, was it fun. 850 kids, 350 workers and a whole lot of smiles! Can't wait for next year!
We have a brand new and fantastic sketch at Freshly Made Sketches! Our hostess this week is the lovely Kim Singdahlsen. Kim creates such gorgeous cards and I'm always taking note of what supplies she's using and building a wish list! Maybe don't tell my husband that!!!
Kim's sketch was a little tricky until I realized I had these poppies (uncoloured) sitting on my desk from another card attempt! I decided instead of colouring them red, I would colour them yellow instead! For today, they're yellow poppies!
I must say the Stampin' Blends did great and I was able to combine 4 markers instead of just the normal 2! I believe this was Daffodil Delight and Mango Medley but I could be very wrong! It may be So Saffron and Mango Medley!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Whipser White, Basic Grey
DSP: Brights 6X6 DSP Stack
Stamps: LJD Delicate Pretty Poppies (MFT)
Ink: Memento, Versamark
Other: LJD Pretty Poppies Dies (MFT), Stampin' Blends, Mosaic 3D Embossing Folder, Silver Embossing Powder, Stitched Flags
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has created for your inspiration!
Have an amazing day!
Jen

I love gray and yellow together, and this is so pretty! I just got that embossing folder, and am excited to use it. Love the poppies - have those too! I may just case this! :)
ReplyDeleteAs if I don't build on my wishlist with your cards!!! Luckily I have these poppies!! I love the trio - and the mosaic background is such a wonderful accent.
ReplyDeleteI love your yellow poppies, and your coloring is beautiful! Glad camp went well and that you had an amazing time. You survived another year!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty this is! You've used one of my favorite color combos and I love that textured background!
ReplyDeleteThose poppies were a great find! I love yellow and gray! Pretty card!
ReplyDeleteHI Jen! Sounds like your week last week was pretty busy! That's a lot of kids! Your card is fabulous- this is one of my favorite color combos. And I think yellow poppies are a real thing! Regarding bible journaling, I try to gesso my pages to prevent bleeding through the page. I also do a lot more drying with my heat gun, which means a lot more layers to minimize the wetness. Not sure if that makes any sense! I am so glad the creative worship page resonated with you. Seems a lot of us have a tough time with this subject!
