Welcome Baby!

Hello!
I hope you are having a great start to your week!  I just got in from boot camp and am feeling rather sleepy!  Writing this post is taking a lot of focus!!!

I made this card some time last week but only managed to get it upstairs to take a picture today!  I'm so ashamed!  I loved the sketch at Seize The Sketch this week!  Such clean lines!  I just had to play along!

I really do love the new Something for Baby stamp set!  I also love that it has a coordinating die set!  Easy Peasy!  I have always wanted to do one of those wrinkled bows.  My friend Jennifer Timko is making them often and they are always so beautiful!  I'm not sure mine turned out the way I wanted it to!  I had to add some pearls, a bit of sponging and some distressing with the Distressing Tool.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Sahara Sand
Stamps: Something for Baby, Itty Bitty Banners
Ink: Strawberry Slush, Sahara Sand
Other: Baby's First Framelits, Bitty Banners Framelits, Very Vanilla Seam Binding, Basic Pearls, Sponge Daubers, Distressing Tool, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!  The new Freshly Made Sketches post will also be coming up in a few hours so make sure you come back!

Have a fabulous day!

Seize that Valentine!

Hello!
Hope you had a great start to your week!  Today was a busy day here and I'm tired - which is a good thing!  Jacob and I had a good day together!  We got lots accomplished and even delivered some cupcakes and a caramel latte to a friend who was celebrating her birthday today (her card you'll get to see on Wednesday)!

No time in the craft room today....maybe after the kids get to bed!!!!  I made this card last week using the current sketch over at Seize the Sketch!  I love sketch challenges!!!!

I must apologize that the picture isn't totally clear.  My camera wouldn't focus for some reason.  I think it didn't quite know what to focus on!!!  I used the new "Language of Love" stamp set from SU!  I really like the heart and love that I can just punch it out!!!!

I had some old black glimmer paper that I had purchased who knows where that I wanted to use as well as the SU red glimmer.  I honestly have no idea where the background paper came from.  It was an old piece in my scrapbook stash.  I am trying to use up some old papers and it was the only Valentine's Day paper I had!!!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Red Glimmer, Black Glimmer (non-SU)
DSP:  Unknown - non SU
Stamps: Language of Love
Ink: Versamark
Other: White Embossing Powder, Full Heart Punch, Heart to Heart Punch, Dimensionals

I hope you have a great day!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Seize The Sketch Ornament

Hello!
Yay...it's almost Friday!!!  I'm super excited!  I love Friday nights!  They usually mean movie night at home!  The boys love a night without homework as well!  Today my hubby and I were able to have a little lunch date - which almost never happens!  It was so nice to get out for a few minutes together!

This is another card that I was able to work on yesterday while Jake was at cooking class.  I love sketch challenges.  I'm not usually the greatest at coming up with my own sketches so I'll take all the help I can get!  The ladies at Seize the Sketch have a great sketch this week and I couldn't wait to play along.

Another Christmas card...sorry!  Only a a few more weeks of Christmas cards and we'll move on!  I like to re-use my stamps (as you all know).  I know a lot of readers can't afford or choose not to buy every stamp set or even a lot of stamp sets so it's always fun to demonstrate different ways to use the same stamps.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler
Stamps: Ornament Keepsakes, Four the Holidays
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Versamark
Other: Holiday Ornaments Framelits, Basic Rhinestones, Circle Punch, Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you have a fabulous day!

Seize the Sketch Sympathy

Hello!
Hope you are having a great week so far!  Tomorrow (Thursday) Jacob has his Halloween Parade at school.  The Kindergarten students parade around the first level of the school in their costumes.  It is just too cute!!!

I had a few minutes this afternoon while Jacob was at cooking class to craft it up!  I needed a sympathy card for a friend who's grandmother passed away over the weekend.    The sketch at Seize the Sketch was just perfect!

I used decided that I wanted to use Basic Grey and Daffodil Delight on this card.  I used the Thanks for Caring stamp set (retired) and then combined it with some Polka Dot Parade Paper and a woodgrain background!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Grey, Smoky Slate, Whisper White
DSP: Polka Dot Parade
Stamps: Thanks for Caring
Ink: Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight
Other: Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Basic Grey Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a fabulous day!

Seize The Sketch Christmas!

Hello!
I hope you had a great day!  Jacob had an amazing time at his Little Chefs program this afternoon which is great news! He thought it was fabulous and he ended up knowing a lot of the kids there which is good!  I just got in from bootcamp.  We did this challenge thing that left me feeling rather ill!  I love my instructor and am so thankful for the girls that I work out with.  They even made me laugh at the end as I was writhing on the floor!!!

I had a few minutes this afternoon while Jacob was at Little Chefs so I decided to create two different Christmas cards for the Seize the Sketch challenge this week.  Same card - different colours!  Not sure which one I like more!

The Ornament Keepsake stamp set has got to be one of my favourite Christmas sets.  My personal favourite colours are red and gold....though blue and silver and near and dear to my heart as well!!!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Midnight Muse, Silver Glimmer, Brushed Gold
Stamps: Ornament Keepsake, Snow Swirled
Ink: Versamark, Cherry Cobbler, Midnight Muse
Other: Basic Rhinestones, Styled Stripes Embossing Folder, Holiday Ornaments Framelits, Finishing Touches Edgelits, Dimsionals

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a wonderful day!

Seize the Sketch Christmas

Hello!
Are you ready for the weekend?  I'm totally ready for this last long weekend of the summer and school starting here next week.  We learned today who Caleb's teacher's are and we're very happy.  Hopefully this will be a great year for him!  He loves school so I hope this continues!

I made this card last weekend and haven't gotten around to posting it yet!  I love sketch challenges and the new Seize the Sketch challenge is no different!!!  This was a fabulous sketch!  I decided to make another Christmas card.  I still need to find that one perfect design that I will stick with and make a ton of cards with!

I went with the Winter Frost Specialty DSP again and added in some of that fabulous silver ribbon!  I used one of the smaller vintage faceted buttons.  The big ones seem a little to large to send in the mail!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Costal Cabana, Smokey Slate, Silver Glimmer Paper
DSP: Winter Frost Specialty
Stamps: Snow Swirled
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Vintage Faceted Button, Bakers Twine, Silver Ribbon

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have a great weekend!!!

Seize the Sketch Thanksgiving

Hello!
Hope everyone had a great Monday.  Jacob and I had a great day together!  Jacob had a swimming lesson tonight and finally got his kicking down!  He was doing awesome!  I was so proud of him!  It's been a long road but he's getting there and loves the water!

I was excited to play along with this week's "Seize the Sketch" Challenge!  Thank you Lesley Croghan for creating yet another fabulous challenge!  I love sketch challenges!  I must say the angled lines did stump me for a while.  I'm a cut and dried kind of girl so throwing angles in there gets me off my game!

I'm in love with the Sweater Weather DSP!  I love fall colours and when I saw this in the new catalogue I knew I had to have it!!!  I couldn't wait any longer to make fall cards!  I got out my Wonderfall stamp set and the Autumn Accents die and went to town!  Throw in that fabulous Truly Grateful stamp set and autumn is in the air!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango
DSP: Sweater Weather
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Stamps: Wonderfall, Truly Grateful
Other: Autumn Accents Die, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Argyle Embossing Folder, Dimesionals

Thanks for stopping by again today!  Here's another Hawaii picture!  This one was taken from the helicopter.  I love the colour of the water and all of that fabulous sand!  Gorgeous!

Have a fabulous day!
