Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #215

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  We are one step closer to Christmas and I'm one step closer to a nervous breakdown!!!  I am almost done with the shopping or at least as much as I can do!  I have my Christmas cards made I just need to find a few minutes to sit down and deal with them!  That's what I'm struggling with!!!  Then there's the wrapping...ugh!  When I was little I loved wrapping.  Now, not so much!

We have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week!  Our amazing hostess if the one and only Jen Mitchell!  I love Jen and her amazing cards!  They are just so beautiful!  I hope you take the time to go and visit her blog!

Jen's sketch threw me for a bit.  I don't do banners so well.  I think I would rather a circle than a banner!!!  I needed another Christmas card and had just created some place cards for a Christmas lunch I'm hosting next week so I decided I would incorporate the same vellum die cuts that I used on the place cards into my card!

They don't show up so well in this photo...sorry about that!  I really do enjoy the Sleigh Ride Edgelits. They are so sweet and cut out so nicely!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black
Paper: Vellum
Stamps: Jingle all the Way
Ink: Silver
Other: Anytime Tags Die Set 2 (Lil Inkers), Sleigh Ride Edgelits, Softly Falling Embossing Folder, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the amazing cards the design team has created for you!

Have a fabulous day!
Jen

  2. You are really rocking the white Christmas cards, my friend! I love this one, too! The vellum is so soft and pretty and the black strip really draws the eye to the edgelit shapes.

  3. This is beautiful, Jen! The vellum adds such a soft and pretty look to these dies, and I love the dramatic pop of black. If you are close to having a nervous breakdown and you're almost done with the shopping and you're finished with making Christmas cards, I should really be in panic mode! You're way ahead of me! hmmm...maybe I should go get busy right now! :)

  5. Circles are better than banners. Check. Will remember for next time! For what it's worth I think you did a great job with this sketch. You are totally rocking the white on white cards and I especially love that you mixed this one up by throwing in the black layer! You go girl! Oh, and I love to wrap presents so I'll be happy to do yours!
