Hello!
Happy Wednesday! It was such a beautiful day today! We have had one of the warmest fall weeks ever! The boys actually wore shorts and t-shirts to school yesterday which has to be a first in Canadian History!!! They were pumped! I wish this warmer weather could last all winter! It does feel strange to have such warm weather and to have Christmas commercials on TV!
We have a great new sketch today at Freshly Made Sketches! Our fabulous hostess this week is the amazing Karren Johnson! Karren makes some gorgeous cards! I aspire to be able to create cards like her one day!!!
I had a hard time with this sketch and it wasn't because of the circle - I know, shocking! I have felt so uncreative the last few weeks. I don't know what it is but I just sit in my craft room and stare at everything. Party because it's a disaster that needs a good cleaning! I sure feel like the weak link of the team this week! I'm hoping this fabulous weather changes things!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Silver
Stamps: Shine Bright (Reverse Confetti)
Ink: Stazon Black
Other: Sun 'n Clouds Confetti Cuts, Double Stitched Circle Dies (Lil' Inkers), Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping in today! Please head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to check out the amazing cards the Design Team has come up with! You will not be disappointed!
Have a fabulous day!
Jen
What a great Clean and Fresh Card! And the sentiment is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI love the simple graphic look of your card! The sun peeking out from the clouds is so cute! When you get your room cleaned up come on down and help me with mine!
ReplyDeleteIf this is your work when you have no mojo, then I can't imagine what it's like when you are on a roll! I absolutely love this card! Such a great layering of die cuts - love it!
ReplyDeleteFirst things first, Jen - you are definitely not a weak link! When I saw your card, I immediately thought "why didn't I think of that?" Absolutely brilliant idea to use the sun and clouds for the elements. I hope you start feeling creative again soon, though, as I can relate to that feeling all too well!
ReplyDeleteWeak link?? What?!? I love this card! That bright, happy sun really pops with the yellow, and I love it with this great sentiment. Very cute!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun little weather scene. Love it!
ReplyDeleteYour supposed lack of creativity never shows! I know what you mean about being shut down when the craft room is disorganized. It feels like I should be straightening and organizing instead of creating. However, with that being said, I have never seen a card of yours that looks like you were lacking creativity! I love your card and thought it was amazing, and then I read your post and was totally surprised to read that you felt you were the weak link! I love how you combined the pieces of the 'scene', the color choices and all the fabulous details. You, my friend, could NEVER be a weak link!
ReplyDeleteOoh, do I love this card! The sun, the clouds, your fabulous use of a circle. It's all good!!!
ReplyDeleteI just love this card. Weak link....seriously??!!! Never! The sun is perfect for the circle element and the rest fell right into place!
ReplyDeleteWas just about to write the same as Jen coz I really do love this card and the warm colours and dies you've used!
ReplyDeleteOh, Jennifer, I think you are the only person other than myself who uses so many exclamation marks when typing, lol! I LOVE it! Such a great take on the sketch this week...no surprise there! Thanks for the inspiration! :)
