Chevron Birthday

Hello!
Hope you had a great Monday!  I had a fun day!   The boys did such an amazing job at Run Club at school.  I was so impressed with how well Caleb ran.  Jacob unfortunately gets cramps in his side like I do so he wasn't too impressed.  They are excited to try again next week!  I can't complain!

I love, love, love both the sketch and the photo at the Fusion card challenge this week!  Who doesn't love chevrons?!

I am trying not to use up all of this paper (from the Fresh Prints DSP Stack) but I love it so much!!!  I just think chevrons look even more fabulous in Costal Cabana!  I added some little red banners to the card.  I was trying to use the arrows but I just didn't have anything that worked so banners it was!

Supplies:

Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red

DSP: Fresh Prints DSP Stack

Stamps: Birthday Bash Sentiments (Non-SU)

Ink: Basic Black

Other: Basic Rhinestones, Banner Punch, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!

I hope you have a fabulous day!

Check back tomorrow night for another card!!!  I was on a roll!!!

Mother's Day Blooms

Hello!
I hope you've had a great weekend!  We had a fun weekend here!  The boys spent the day flying today and had a blast!  I enjoyed some time playing in my craft room!  We have a fun week ahead of us.  Tomorrow the boys are doing "Run Club" after school.  We will see how this goes.  I'll be "running" with them which I'm hoping equates to walking quickly!!!  A few of their friends will be joining us so hopefully they find it fun!

I loved this week's CAS(E) This Sketch challenge!  They paired up with Runway Inspired challenge and have created a fabulous two week sketch/inspiration challenge!  I love it!

I am trying to get a few Mother's Day cards made up!  I only have one mom but I have a few orders to fill!!!  I am very sad that Stampin' Up is retiring the Secret Garden stamp set.  I absolutely love it!  I love the flowers and love using the dies!  Makes life a whole lot easier!

I decided to tie the black and red from the sweater and the pattern from the shorts into my card along with the flowers!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Real Red
DSP: Fresh Prints DSP Stack
Stamps: Secret Garden, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Secret Garden Framelits, Bitty Banners Framelits, Basic Rhinestones, Circle cutters (Non-SU), Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have a great day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #133

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  Hope you're having a great week and had a wonderful Easter weekend.  We had an amazing weekend as a family.  I'm sad I didn't get to see my parents but we had a very nice visit with my aunt and uncle.  I was able to get out and see both boys fly their air planes this weekend.  It was amazing to see both of them and see how far they've come!  We went for a really nice family hike to see some waterfalls and then spent a wonderful morning at the new aquarium in downtown Toronto!

Today being Wednesday means that we have a fabulous new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches!  This week's incredibly talented hostess in the one and only Cindy Lovell!  If you haven't been to Cindy's blog you need to head there now and check out her amazing creations!

At first the sketch kind of stumped me but then I realized I had better get cracking on Mother's Day cards!  It will be here in no time!  I like sketches that stretch my brain!!!  Funny thing was that it wasn't the circle that stressed me out but the square - which turned into a rectangle on my card!!!!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Pool Party
DSP: Sweet Sorbet
Stamps: Petite Petals, Well Scripted
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon, Petite Petals Punch, Black Candy Dots (non-SU), Scalloped Circle Dies (non-SU), Dimensionals

Thanks again for stopping by!  Please head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to see the amazing cards our Clean Team has come up with!  You will not be disappointed!

Have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #132

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I can't believe it's Wednesday already!  We here in Ontario were some shocked to wake up to snow this morning!  Let's just say no one in our house was impressed...least of all me!  The winter stuff had been washed and was waiting to be put away.  The kids came home muddy and messy so all the winter stuff was washed again because they'll need it tomorrow!!!  Oh the joys of winter/spring!

We have a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week.  I am so honoured to be this week's hostess!  I sure love being part of this great team of ladies!  It's fun to create sketches and to see the beautiful cards you come up with!

I saw the great colours at Dynamic Duos this week and decided that they would work perfectly for an Easter card!   Who doesn't love these two colours together!

Unfortunately the picture didn't turn out as well as expected.  We don't always get the best lighting in our house and I haven't purchased a light box yet...

As I'm staring at this card I am thinking about the time before I actually owned a corner rounder.  I used to use a nickel and trace it and then cut the corners!  Boy how times have changed!!!!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Wisteria Wonder
Other: Daisy Die, Basic Rhinestones, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Modern Mosaic Textured Embossing Folder, Bakers Twine, Vintage Faceted Buttons, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Please head on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to see the fabulous cards the Clean Team has come up with!  You won't be disappointed!

Have a fabulous day!

CAS(E) This Sketch Butterflies!

Hello!
Hope you had a great weekend!  We had such beautiful weather here and we were able to get out and enjoy it on Saturday and Sunday!  Tomorrow they are forecasting snow!  I must say that I'm not looking forward to seeing that white fluffy stuff.  Hopefully it doesn't stay on the ground and we will have springlike temperatures back in no time.

I had a few minutes in the craft room Saturday afternoon and got a card made for this week's CAS(E) This Sketch challenge!  I really loved this week's sketch and have missed playing along the last few weeks.

I used the Brights DSP Paper Pack and combined the Daffodil Delight with some Basic Grey.  I just couldn't help pairing these two fab colours again!

I of course had to add some butterflies and a bit of bling!  I decided to stamp my sentiment using silver embossing powder on vellum.  Not sure I should have done that but it's done now!

Supplies:

Cardstock: Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight

DSP: Brights Paper pack

Stamps: Four You

Ink: Versamark

Other: Silver Embossing Powder, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Vellum, Basic Rhinestones

Thanks for stopping by!

I hope you have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #131

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  Sorry for being so MIA this week!  Actually it's been a few weeks!  The good news is that flying season has started and so the boys will be out flying most Saturday and Sunday afternoons which means that Mama might get some time in her craft room.  Before that happens though it is in desperate need of tidying!

We have a great new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches!  This one comes to us courtesy of the amazing Cindy Hall!  I must say this sketch gave me grief.  Not sure why but it sure stumped me!!  Apparently rectangles are starting to scare me as much as circles!

I realized that I am going to need some Easter cards.  I like to give the boys teachers Easter gifts to encourage them!  I am also including the librarian this Easter.  She goes above and beyond each week and finds Caleb the perfect book to take home.  He always comes home thrilled with what Mrs. Grant has saved for him!

Even though the Sweet Sorbet paper is no longer available it needs to be used up and I think it's the perfect Easter paper!  I used the Petite Petals (and coordinating punch) to create some colourful blooms!  I think this is version 5 or 6 of this card!  Each previous version looks drastically different.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Pool Party, Whisper White
DSP: Sweet Sorbet
Stamps: Petite Petals, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Petite Petals Punch, Bitty Banners Framelits, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!  Please head on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to check out the beautiful cards the design team has created!  We can't wait to see what you create for us this week!

Have a fabulous day!

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week!  It's been very busy around here and I miss getting into my craft room!  Hopefully this weekend I'll have a bit more time!!!

We have a fabulous new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches today!  The amazing Linda Callahan has a fun sketch for us to play with!

I wanted to use a bit more of my Sweet Sorbet DSP as Sale-a-bration is now over for another year!  I love the fun dots on this paper and wanted to combine them with the fun dots created by the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder!  Don't think I'm going to stop using this baby just because Sale-a-bration is over!!!!

I do love the Starburst Sayings stamp set and tried this one in different colours before settling on black with the banner cut out of Pool Party!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Pool Party, Whisper White
DSP: Sweet Sorbet
Stamps: Starburst Sayings
Ink: Basic Black, Pool Party
Other: Starburst Framelits, Bitty Banners Framelits, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Please head on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog as fast as you can to see the fabulous projects the design team has created for your inspiration!
