Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #384
Hello!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you're having a great week! We've been having the craziest weather here. It does not feel spring like at all. One day it's freezing and rain and then the next day is crazy warm. Then back to cold for a week. I am totally ready for warmth whenever Mother Nature is ready. Hopefully sooner than later!
We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches. Our hostess this week is the amazing Linda Callahan! Linda always makes such creative cards. She also has some amazing stories that I love to read and giggle about!
Linda's sketch stumped me for a bit and then I decided I had better tackle my Mother's Day cards. And I totally know my sweet mom is reading this and now she knows what her Mother's Day card looks like. Sorry mom! I hope you still love me!!! I decided to colour the flowers with my Stampin' Blends. I probably will never get into Copics but I can handle the SU markers! I don't have to think too hard when using them! I tried to pull an Amy O'Neill with my thread but it didn't turn out too well. I tried though!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Smokey Slate, Granny Apple Green
Patterned Paper: Reverse Confetti
Stamps: Secret Garden, Crazy About You
Ink: Memento Black
Other: Stampin' Blends, Secret Garden Dies, Silver Thread, Frosted Epoxy Droplets, Stitched Rectangles (Lil' Inkers), Subtle Texture Embossing Folder, Dimensionals
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has created for your inspiration.
Have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #190
Hello!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you've had a great start to your week! I spent most of my day yesterday doing some cutting for our church camp this summer. One of the projects we are making requires 225 envelopes. I got those cut yesterday but the scoring and punching may take a while! I think I need to pick easier projects!
Being Wednesday, we have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches! Our hostess this week is the amazing Amy O'Neill. Amy has the most amazing eye for colour and comes up with the best colour combinations! Check out her blog and all of her creative cards!
I must admit that this sketch may have given me a slight challenge! I need an anniversary card this week. You see my mom and dad are celebrating their 41st wedding anniversary next week and I wanted to make them a card that needed to get in the mail yesterday! That oval threw me for a loop though! I also realized in the creating of this card that I only one one stamp that says "Happy Anniversary". I could have used "welcome baby" and my mom and dad probably would have gotten a big chuckle out of it but I decided to go with "Happiness Always" instead!
I used the flower from Secret Garden and coloured it using Blendabilities. The flower started out as a Rich Razzleberry flower but ended up being Daffodil Delight! I tell you, sometimes cards come together easy and sometimes they take a LONG time!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black
DSP: Brights Paper Stack (Retired)
Stamps: Secret Garden, And Many More
Ink: Stazon Black, Moss Meadow
Other: Basic Rhinestones, Oval Spellbinders, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Secret Garden Framelits, Dimensionals
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the amazing cards the Design Team has created for your viewing pleasure!
Have a wonderful day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #136
Hello!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you're having a great week so far! We are having a very wet start to our week. We had so much rain here yesterday. Trevor actually had to drain our pool a bit so it didn't overflow. They are calling for even more rain for the rest of the week. Hopefully by the time the long weekend rolls around the weather improves!
We have a great new sketch today at Freshly Made Sketches courtesy of the fabulous Amy O'Neill! She sure has created a fun sketch for us!
I realize now that I forgot to add the button to my card. Actually....I tried to add a mini butterfly with some bling but it just didn't look right so I decided to forego the addition!
I decided to use the retiring Secret Garden stamp set and dies. I will really miss this set. I do love flowers and love them even more when they have coordinating dies! I'm a big fan of the look of basic grey and yellow (in this case Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry) together. Unfortunately the basic grey looks a little "blackish" in this picture! I embossed the "hello" in silver embossing powder to add a bit of shine to the card!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Grey, Whisper White, Crushed Curry
DSP: Brights DSP Stack
Stamps: Secret Garden, Banner Blast
Ink: Crushed Curry, Versamark
Other: Basic Rhinestones, Secret Garden Framelits, Dimensionals
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I'm super excited for Thursday! We demonstrators get a sneak peek at the new Stampin' Up Catalogue! I'm even going to change my morning workout routine so I can peruse the catalogue before the boys get up!!!
We have a fabulous new sketch today at Freshly Made Sketches! This week's sketch is super fun! Our hostess this week is the incredibly talented Karren Johnson! She sure has created a sketch you won't want to miss out on.
I am still on my Mother's Day kick! I need to get a few more done!!! I wanted to use basic grey and used the Hardwood background stamp (one of my favs!) along with some doilies and pleated seam binding.

Stamps: Hardwood background, Secret Garden, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Basic Black

Mother's Day Blooms
Hello!
I hope you've had a great weekend! We had a fun weekend here! The boys spent the day flying today and had a blast! I enjoyed some time playing in my craft room! We have a fun week ahead of us. Tomorrow the boys are doing "Run Club" after school. We will see how this goes. I'll be "running" with them which I'm hoping equates to walking quickly!!! A few of their friends will be joining us so hopefully they find it fun!
I loved this week's CAS(E) This Sketch challenge! They paired up with Runway Inspired challenge and have created a fabulous two week sketch/inspiration challenge! I love it!
I am trying to get a few Mother's Day cards made up! I only have one mom but I have a few orders to fill!!! I am very sad that Stampin' Up is retiring the Secret Garden stamp set. I absolutely love it! I love the flowers and love using the dies! Makes life a whole lot easier!
I decided to tie the black and red from the sweater and the pattern from the shorts into my card along with the flowers!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Real Red
DSP: Fresh Prints DSP Stack
Stamps: Secret Garden, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Secret Garden Framelits, Bitty Banners Framelits, Basic Rhinestones, Circle cutters (Non-SU), Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have a great day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #126
Hello!
Hope you're having a great week! We have a short week as Friday is a PA Day at school and we head off on our March Break Adventures! The boys decided that we would be heading to visit my parents for the March Break! No white, sandy beaches for us!!! We will be hanging in in white, cold snowbanks!!!
We have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week courtesy of the incredibly creative Amy O'Neill. This one threw me a curve ball...let's just say the above card is card #3...the other two were disasters and I'm not in love with this one either! I am thinking I need to find my mojo!
I do love the new Decorative Dots Embossing Folder. It's super fun and adds a bit of randomness....something I am not good with! I used a flower stamp from the Secret Garden stamp set to create my layered flower! The middle and top layer of the flower are fussy cut but I actually find fussy cutting therapeutic!
The picture is a little dark but I used Midnight Muse (my absolute favourite blue) not black!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Midnight Muse, Very Vanilla
Stamps: Secret Garden, Itty Bitty Banners
Ink: Midnight Muse, Versamark
Other: Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, Bitty Banners Framelites, Secret Garden Framelits, Basic Pearls, White Embossing Powder, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by! Please head on over to the Freshly Made Sketches Blog and get started on your card for the week! The design team has come up with some amazing cards to get your creative juices flowing!
Have a great week!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #119
Hello!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you're having a great week! We had a beautiful day here yesterday! The sun was shining and it was nice and warm (if somewhere around 7 degrees C is warm for you!). The ice is finally off our driveway and for that I am thankful!
We have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches! Our fabulous hostess this week is the talented Cindy Lovell! I do love her sketch this week! It was a challenge for me for sure but super fun to work with!
My friend Jeanette had a birthday on Monday and this was the card I made for her! Jeanette loves grey and yellow and I wanted to make a card in colours I knew she would enjoy!!! I do love grey and yellow together though too!!! The flower (from Secret Garden) is embossed in silver - it's a little hard to see in the picture!

Cardstock: Basic Grey, Whisper White, So Saffron
DSP: Subtles Paper Stack (retired)
Stamps: Secret Garden, Itty Bitty Banners
Ink: Versamark
Other: Silver Embossing Powder, Secret Garden Framelites, Bitty Banners Framelits, Basic Rhinestones, Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Paper Players Mother's Day
Hello!
It was a beautiful day here in Southern Ontario! The sun was shining and it was so lovely outside. Jacob and I were able to spend a few minutes outside here and there today! Thankfully the rest of the week is supposed to be very similar!!!
I had a request for a Mother's Day card with some flowers on it. I decided that the Paper Players sketch this week would be perfect for said card! I love the Secret Garden Stamp set and love that there are coordinating dies!
I used some black embossing powder on the flowers to make their lines stand out a bit more. I love the new This and That Epic Day DSP! It is so fun and the colours are fabulous!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party
DSP: This and That Epic Day
Stamps: Secret Garden, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Versamark, Basic Black
Other: Black Embossing Powder, Chevron Embossing Folder, Bitty Banners Framelits Die

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #77
Hello!
I hope you are having a great week so far! We are in the middle of our March Break (how can it be the middle already?!). The two boys and I have taken a little trip to visit my parents for the week! My husband is at home working...I wonder if he's enjoying the quiet?! We are having a blast here! My boys couldn't be happier!
Wednesday brings us a new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches! The fabulous Jennifer Timko brings us this week's sketch! This card is my second take on the sketch. The first one did not fair out so well...ugh. Sometimes I wonder about myself!!!
I finally decided on making a very blue and white card! I love blue! I was going to use midnight muse but then changed my mind and went with Night of Navy! I also love, love, love the Secret Garden stamp set and dies! Who doesn't love dies?! I embossed some flowers up in white and I was ready to go. I must thank my sweet mom who let me use ALL of her supplies! I opted out of bringing anything with me this trip!!! I'm so thankful for her!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Whisper White
DSP: Night of Navy
Stamps: Secret Garden, Itty Bitty Banners
Ink: Versamark
Other: White Embossing Powder, Basic Rhinestones, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Blue Twine, Ribbon Slide, Dimensionals, Bitty Banners Framelits
Two little pictures of my little boys! Caleb's job this week is to help Papa with wood. Papa loads the wheelbarrow and brings the wood to the door...Caleb then hands it all to Papa! He's been a great help and done it so willingly!
Monster truck driving is always a favourite activity around here! Each of the boys has a truck to drive and they are CRAZY! The snowbanks are a bit of an issue but they are slowly learning!!!
Thanks for stopping by! Please check out the Freshly Made Sketches website to see the fabulous card the design team has created for you!
Have a great week!

Celebrate!
Hello!
I hope everyone had a great long weekend! Most of us here in Ontario enjoyed Family Day weekend and our friends south of the border hopefully enjoyed a great President's Day! Our family enjoyed a morning at home. Trevor took the boys outside to play while I got some cleaning done. In the afternoon we went to our church skate! Jacob (who is just learning to skate) did amazing! We were so proud of him!
Okay, I had a few minutes in my craft room this weekend! The sad thing is that a good chunk of that time was spent cleaning my disastrous craft room! It looks so much better though!
I wanted to make a card for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge. I have a slight shortage of birthday cards so I wanted to stock up! I know this card doesn't exactly fit the requirements. I added some silver glimmer paper in there as well! I tried to stick to just black, white and the melon mambo BUT the card lacked something so I added in the glimmer!
I love the new Secret Garden Stamp set! You may see a lot of that lately!!! I used the die to cut out the big flower then hand cut the other two layers! I used black embossing powder to make the flower stand out a little more.
Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Silver Glimmer
Stamps: Secret Garden, Topsy Turvy
Ink: Basic Black, Versamark
Other: Black Embossing Powder, Basic Rhinestone, Two-Step Bird Punch, Secret Garden Framelits Dies, Lacy Brocade Textured Embossing Folder, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow!!!
