Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #737

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great start to your week!  How's the weather where you live?  We just got through our 37th winter.  Nothing like snow on the May long weekend (it was the long weekend in Canada).  It has been a cool spring and the majority of the snow in the mountains has yet to melt so we're still in for a big run off and lots of rain.  Welcome to spring on the east side of the Rocky Mountains!

We've got a brand new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week!  I have the privilege of being this week's hostess.  I kept the sketch simple.  It's been a busy season and I don't have the band width to deal with complicated!

Our oldest is turning 20 this week.  I find that hard to believe since I'm only 29.  He is an avid golfer and I knew I needed a golf themed card for him.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Hammermill White Coverstock, Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Real Red, Garden Green (SU), Silver Foil
Stamps: Clubhouse (SU Ret'd)
Ink: Detail Black (Pink Fresh Studios)
Dies: Golf Club Dies (SU Ret'd), Golf King (Crafters Companion)
Other: Subtle Texture Embossing Folder (SU Ret'd)

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll join in our challenge this week!  You have until Monday at 1 PM EST to get your card entered into this week's challenge.  If you need some inspiration please head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog!  There are plenty of fantastic cards posted!

Have a wonderful day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #381

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I trust you're having a great start to your week!  Our kids are on their delayed Spring Break this week so they're home and bored out of their trees!  Ontario is back in lockdown so nothing is open and the weather has been crummy so far.  They had golf games planned all week but so far have only gotten one in!  Hopefully the weather improves and they can get out for some rounds!

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is or diecut queen, Cecile Ribon!  Head over to Cecile's blog if you want to see some absolutely stunning cards!

So, as you can imagine, as soon as I saw this I might have had a small panic attack.  So not is there just one circle but 9!  9 circles!  My neighbour has asked me to make a 12th birthday card for her niece so I started with that card!  I noticed the Golden Honey paper from last year's Sale-a-bration sitting on my shelf though and decided that I would use that to make another card and try and tackle my circle aversion!

 Supplies:

Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Magenta Madness, Pink Sparkle, Gold Foil, Silver Foil
DSP: Golden Honey
Stamps: Honey Bee, Clubhouse
Ink: Basic Black
Other: 1" Circle Punch, Detailed Bee Dies, Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder, Golf Dies, Butterflies Dies (Taylored Expressions), Stampin' Blends, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has crafted to be an inspiration.

We hope you'll join in our challenge this week!

Have an amazing week!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #433

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're all keeping well and haven't gone completely bonkers stuck at home!  I must say that I don't mind being trapped at home.  As an introvert, I'm quite happy at home!!  My little squirrel (aka Jacob) is not so excited about it.  The boys have had a bit too much together time and could use a little time apart.  We'll have to figure out how to make that work!

Well, quarantine aside, we have a brand new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the incredible Jen Mitchell!  Jen is the queen of creating super clean and simply amazing cards.  Head over to her blog to check out her creations!
So at first I wasn't too sure what to do with this sketch.  That blob in the centre kinda frightened me.  Then I remembered that I needed to make a masculine 16th birthday card for someone.  I decided to use this sketch as the basis for my card.

I hauled out the old Off the Grid Stamp set from SU and went to work.  Black and silver seemed like a good option for a masculine card so that's what I went with.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Silver Foil
Stamps: Off the Grid, Clubhouse (sentiment)
Ink: Versamark
Other: Silver Embossing Powder, Large Number Dies, Golf Club Dies

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has created!

Have an amazing week!
