Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #434

 Hello!
Happy Wednesday and welcome to May!  I hope the month has started well!  I've really been enjoying being able to spend some extra time every week in my craft room!  It's been fun and a bit of a distraction!  Jacob spent most of yesterday outside

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the amazing Linda Callahan!  Linda creates the cutest cards and always makes me smile! Head on over to her blog and check out her sweet cards (and her adorable grandkids!)

So this sketch threw me for a loop!  Almost as if those rectangles were gigantic circles!  No seriously!  I was stumped.  Like stumped for days stumped.  Finally, I pulled out the Modern Frame Die and stamp set from Concord & 9th and created the top card.  I tried to gather my inner Amy O'Neill and mix and match colours but she does it so much better!

I then decided that I needed to create this card.  (No mom, this isn't your Mother's Day card, don't worry!!!)  This one is for my neighbour.  She has been purchasing cards from me over the last few weeks and I know she really wanted to get one herself so I might be conspiring with her daughter to make it happen!!!

Supplies:
Card #1
Cardstock: Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Silver Foil
DSP: Brights DSP Stack (Retired)
Stamps: Modern Frame (Concord & 9th)
Ink: Coastal Cabana
Other: Modern Frame Dies (Concord & 9th), Subtle Texture Embossing Folder, Dimensionals

Card #2

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has created!

We can't wait to see what you create this week!

Have an amazing day!

Jen

  1. These are both fabulous cards, and you do a great job with colors I struggle with -- neutrals. However, your first card uses some of my favorite colors. I think you sell yourself short when it comes to combining colors!

  3. That frame is fabulous - so eye-catching! I love the pop of coral on the aqua, a beautiful color combo!
