Freshly Made Sketches #361
Happy Wednesday and Happy Halloween!
I hope you're having a great week so far. I'm fighting a nasty cold and will probably be the one staying in handing out candy tonight unless I feel better. I don't often get sick but when I do I tend to be very grouchy! The kids are excited about tonight. Jacob is being the Black Panther and Caleb is being a giant hotdog. Hilarious! I'm hoping we get lots of kids so that I can get rid of all of that candy that I have!! None left for me to eat!
We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches! Our hostess this week is the amazing Jen Mitchell! Jen is the queen of elegant/clean and simple! Her cards are gorgeous so head over to her blog and check it out!
Okay, so I definitely messed this sketch up! I made this card a while ago and apparently was dreaming when I saw the sketch and then made my card. I'm a little off. I don't know what I was thinking!
My mom gave me Tropical Chic for my birthday and I just LOVE it!! Such a fun set! With this set you can totally make the most colourful cards!! It's fantastic!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black
Stamps: Tropical Chic
Ink: Basic Black, Lovely Lipstick, Pineapple Punch, Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green
Other: Tropical Thinlits Dies, Subtle Textured Embossing Folder, Glitter Enamel Dots, Dimensionals
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous card the Design Team has created! You will definitely be inspired!
Have a fabulous day!
Jen

I don't think your design is off at all! In fact I think it's quite gorgeous! The colorful flowers against the black background is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe bright colors look fabulous against the black! Classy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun grouping of flowers and leaves - I love how they pop on the black!
ReplyDeleteI love these pretty pops of color against the black background! And I love how you've cut out the sentiment. Beautifully done, Jen!
ReplyDeleteIts nice to have a tropical theme when its so cold and chilly outside (you think its subliminal as you are suffering a cold?) - I sure hope you get better soon. Hope you had lots of kids and that candy got gone for you! Your card is super.
ReplyDeleteI love the black background and the lime green enamel dots. Gorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteThose pops of colour against the black look fabulous, Jen, and I can totally see the sketch!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! That black background is so striking and really sets off your pretty leaves.
