Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #314

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope everyone has had a great start to their week!  I hope my American friends have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow!  Christmas isn't that far away!  Are you ready? I am definitely not ready. The kids are bugging me to put the tree up but we have to put our tree up in stages.  See, last year our kitten was just over 3 lbs.  The tree was her favourite hiding spot.  She could climb that sucker lightening fast.  This year she's about 7 lbs.  We're not sure our tree can handle the 7 lbs so we'll have to put it up without decorations to see what she does.  I'll have to get my squirt bottle ready just in case she decides to go for a climb.  Which she will...because she's a cat!

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the amazing Narelle Farrugia!  Narelle is our fussy cutting, flower making queen!  Her cards are multi-layered masterpieces!  Head over to her blog to see what I mean!

Narelle also decided to throw some circles in there!  I'm wondering if my friends from the Southern Hemisphere got together and decided to torture me together!!!  Needless to say I decided to stick true to the sketch on this one.   I am still lacking in Christmas cards so I used some of the Quilted Christmas DSP from SU along with some red and black cardstock and threw this baby together!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Real Red, Basic Black and Red Foil
Paper: Quilted Christmas DSP
Other: Silly Stitched Dies (Lil Inkers),  Double Stitched Circle Dies (Lil Inkers), Christmas Greetings Thinlits (SU), Red Sequins, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has created!  They truly are beautiful!

Have a fabulous day and a Happy Thanksgiving!

Jen

  2. Oh no! You've copped to our cunning plan - plague you with circles :) Ha, seriously though, you seem to be getting over your fear of circles quite nicely - maybe because we keep throwing them at you! Gorgeous card!

  3. I think you have conquered the circle phobia! This is a fantastic Christmas card! And as for the tree and Pepsi - I would say put the tree up (without any decorations) and see if she's inclined to climb up it. Sometimes it's just the fact that you've introduced something new that makes them so curious. Maybe after a few days she'll lose interest and you can decorate the tree like usual! Good luck!

  4. Well, you prove to be indomitable and you have conquered the circles!! Love the bold colors. As for your tree, my 8 pound version seems to just like to lay under it at this point. I wish the same for you...holding my breath with you.

  5. Ha! You always make the perfect cards when it comes to circles - you have nothing to fear with them! Your card is elegant with those colours and perfectly clean. I especially love that cool detail you've added to the edges of your card.
