Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #125

Happy Wednesday!  I hope you've been having a great week!  I apologize for being totally MIA for the last week (and a bit).  Jacob got really sick and then had some severe side effects from his antibiotic (in combination with some pretty serious dehydration).  Anyhow, he is back to normal after several uncertain days!  He was back to his super silly self today and nearly drove me insane!!!!

I had a few minutes in my craft room on Sunday to create a card for this week's fun new Freshly Made Sketches challenge!  I really love the fabulous (and versatile) sketch that our very creative, layer queen, Narelle Farrugia has come up with for us!

So, I've gotten over my neutrals phase and have moved back to grey and yellow!  I can't help it...I just love the look!

The sentiment is stamped using silver embossing powder but it's very hard to tell from the photo.  I was having some lighting issues while trying to get this picture!!!!

Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Grey, Daffodil Delight
DSP: Brights DSP Paper Stack (Daffodil Delight)
Stamps: Birthday Bash Sentiments (PTI)
Ink: Versamark
Other: Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Basic Rhinestones, Silver Embossing Powder, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Please head on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the beautiful card the design team has created for you!

Have a fabulous day!

  1. The chevron paper makes a great background for your lone butterfly!!

  2. I love gray and yellow too! This is so smart and stylish! Glad everyone is feeling better in your house!

  3. I'm so glad that Jacob was driving you insane today! Well, you know what I mean! LOL! And good thing you found some time to make this beauty. I LOVE the black, white and yellow colors and butterflies are always my thing!

  4. I'm so glad Jacob is better again, Jen. I love your gray and yellow card - so fresh and clean and bright!

  5. Wow--I love the look, too! This is fabulous!

  6. This is such a striking card Jen - yellow and black really is stylish! I love how you've used the sketch with your butterfly and the three bits of bling just finish this gorgeous card off!

  7. Fabulous card!!! Love your use of color and design :)

  8. You combined these three colors fabulously! LOVE the chevron as the main background...and the scrumptious matting. :)

  9. Yellow and gray, a butterfly, and put all my favorite things on one card!

  10. Love this combination of colors and prints! It's cheerful, yet has an elegance to it. Great card, Jen.
