Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #63

Happy Wednesday!  I can't believe it's Wednesday already!  Where did the first half of the week go?  Where did most of November go?  I honestly can't believe that we're closing in on Christmas!  Some of you know I've been going through some health tests recently to see if some mysterious lumps might be breast cancer but I am so happy (and thankful) to say that yesterday the doctor confirmed that she believes we are in the clear.  I have a follow up ultrasound next month but for now, I am very relieved. I am so thankful for those praying!  What an amazing answer to prayer!  God is good!

There's a new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches!  Rita has a great new sketch for us!  I love new sketches!  This one had me stumped! I don't know why. I really wanted to use an ornament (I'm obsessed with them you know!) but I couldn't get it to look right.  I finally decided on a snowflake but in the process of trying to distress my early espresso core'dinations cardstock I scratched it...badly too...I'm so ashamed!  Heaven help me

Cardstock: Early Espresso Core'dinations, Very Vanilla, Champagne Glimmer
Stamps: Petite Pairs
Ink: Versamark
Other: Snow Flurry Bigz Die, 3/4" Circle punch, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals, Word Window Punch, Sanding Block, Very Vanilla Velvet Ribbon, White Embossing Powder

Okay so here's the original card I made...I should have used a different embossing folder...alas...what can one do!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great week!  Hop on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to see the fabulous cards the other members of the Design Team have created for you!

  1. First of all hooray for a good report from the doctor - scary stuff! So glad you are ok! And I like both your cards~! Great for the holidays!

  2. Jen, you always make me laugh for some reason. I think your card turned out great, scratched or not. I'm so glad you received good news on the health scare. <3

  3. I think they're both pretty fantastic! Nothing says Christmas like snowflakes and ornaments! And I'm so glad to hear you're in the clear!

  4. Hi Jen! I like both of your cards! And I didn't even notice any scratches - it's funny how critical we are of our own cards, right? And congrats on a healthy report from your doc!

  5. I like both of your cards, too! But the snowflake is spectacular! And, yes, God is good, all the time! So happy to read your good news. Hugs.

  6. You are so funny! I like them both. The scratches are part of the vintage thing. The snowflakes are awesome! Thankful for the good report! :-)
