Mojo 150

So I'm a little behind in my sketch challenges. I saw the Mojo 150 Sketch online and realized that I had to make some card using their sketch. I am more of the clean and simple kind of girl so my cards tend to be a bit plainer than what others may do.

Baby Quilt Inspiration

One of my friends is due with her first child in October. She's expecting a little girl and posted some pictures of the baby's nursery recently. As soon as I saw her quilt I knew that I wanted to make a card for this precious bundle using the quilt as inspiration. I really enjoy how the card turned out though I'm a little bummed that I thought the little pink squares were white...Oh well.

Hope you enjoy the finished product!

Moving

Ladybug Designs is moving! Well, at least my family and I are moving and we'll be taking Ladybug Designs with us! We'll be moving from Terrebonne, Quebec to Burlington, Ontario. The move will be taking place early in September. I may be a little out of commission for a while but will have cards up and running again once we're settled. Please be patient while I get myself organized in our new home and get my 4 year old off to school!

New cards

Well I decided that I needed to get my mind off a few things and wanted to work on something other than Christmas cards so I headed down to create masterpieces...unfortunately I don't always create the masterpiece I dream of!

I had fun working on these cards and that's all that matters! Some materials used are from the new holiday mini (available Sept 1st) while most other stuff is from the 2010-2011 IBC from Stampin' Up!
Hope you enjoy!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

At least at my house!

Yes, you read that correctly! Christmas card making has begun at my house. I start early. I received a lot of card orders last year and this year want to get an extra early start on things. I've got about 10 different designs done (maybe a few more)...I'll be posting them below. I will include general details for you about each card. If you're interested in purchasing/ordering Christmas cards, please let me know (ladybugdesigns1@gmail.com)

New stuff...

I want to apologize right off for how negligent I've been to my blog. Life just seemed to get so busy that I had to let a few things slide for a while. Sometimes, playing outside with my two little boys won out over sitting down to type! I won't be able to sit down every day BUT I will make a better effort!

So, there are two "new" Stampin' Up! catalogues available now. The links are to the right of this post. The summer mini is in effect until August 30th and the new 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalogue is also available and full of wonderful stuff!

Take a look at the new idea book and catalogue and let me know what you think. If you would like a hard copy of the catalogue, please get in touch with me (ladybugdesigns1@gmail.com) and we can make arrangements for that.

Paper Cakes

I'm excited to share my newest endeavour with each of you! Paper cakes! I must say I really do love them. A single layer of cake is make up of 12 slices that can be filled with chocolates, candy or small "favours". They are perfect for baby showers, bridal showers or even weddings.

You can do single tiered cakes or add a second (slightly smaller) 12 slice tier.

The cakes can be customized very easily. You can pick your colour, ribbon, and topper. The entire cake can be wrapped with ribbon or each individual slice can be wrapped. You can also choose to have the slices embellished or left plain. Customized tags can be added with a baby's name or the name of a bride and groom. You can also purchase single slices to use as thank you gifts for someone special.

The one slice pictured below has a paper strawberry on top. These strawberries are actually little boxes as well and can hold single chocolates or a few Hershey Kisses (or as my friend Anne-Marie told me - an engagement ring!). The strawberries can also be purchased in whatever quantity you wish.

I've done up one "chocolate" cake and then a few single slices. I am slowly sorting out prices for the cakes and strawberries and will post them when I have it figured out. If you're interested in purchasing a cake, please send me an e-mail at:
