Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #234
Hello!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you're having a great start to your week! It's hard to believe that this coming weekend is May! How is that even possible?! Hopefully with the start of May comes the start of some warmer temperatures! We haven't had very nice weather at all this week and maybe all these April showers will bring some May flowers!!!
We have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches courtesy of the amazing Jennifer Timko! Jen and I have had the privilege of meeting (twice!) and she is one of the loveliest people you could ever spend time with!
Jen has such a great sketch for us this week! I know you'll find it super versatile and there are so many ways to create amazing cards with this beauty!
We haven't had much sunshine around here lately so I wanted to create a card with the Stampin' Up Sunburst Die because you can never have too much sunshine! I added a strip of DSP, mounted my sentiment on a gold circle (can't have too much gold either) and added a sentiment on vellum. It may sound like the card went together quickly but trust me, it was trial and error. What colour should the background be, what DSP to use, what colour ink...I'm so indecisive in some areas!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Gold
DSP: Cherry on Top DSP Stack
Stamps: Sunburst Sayings
Ink: Versamark Black
Other: Sunburst Thinlit, Circle Punches, Dimensionals
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the amazing cards the Design Team has created for you! Those girls amaze me with their creativity!
Have a wonderful day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #233
Hello!
Happy Wednesday friends! I hope you're having a great week! We had some amazing weather this past weekend! It was so fun to get out and enjoy the beautiful sunshine! I think the kids were aiming to see how many different sports they could play outside in one day! We had hockey, basketball, scooter, bikes and golf going! They were so tired when they finally came in! It was perfect!
We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches! Our hostess this week is the amazing, Artisan Design Team member Amy O'Neill! Amy creates the most beautiful cards. She has a way with colour and embellishments!
Okay, so you can see the circle hiding in there right?! I knew that I'd have to dig deep on this one! I love the Circle Scribbles stamps by My Favourite Things. I decided to colour some flowers up with my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers. They are so fun and I do have fun with them! I decided to use a strip of vellum across the back rather than trying to pick a colour. I wanted to keep the background simple so the flowers would really and out!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Watercolour paper
Paper: Vellum
Stamps: LJD Circle Scribbles, LJD Blissful Butterflies (Both My Favourite Things)
Ink: Stazon Black
Other: Circle Scribbles Die-namics, Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers, Double Stitched Squares (Lil' Inkers), Dimensionals
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll pop over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to check out the beautiful cards the Design Team has come up with!
Have a wonderful day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #232
Happy Wednesday! I hope you're having a great week so far! I haven't had as much time in my craft room over the last few weeks/months as I would like. Unfortunately I am not one of those people who can go and create cards when there is stuff to do in the house and my kids are still too young to do a lot of things on their own. I'm hoping to spend a bit of time in my craft room this weekend. We are done hockey for the season so maybe, just maybe I'll get to enjoy a little crafting time!!!
We have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week! Our fabulous hostess is the one and only Narelle Farrugia. Don't even get me started on Narelle's amazing layers and fussy cut flowers! So pretty! Narelle's sketch is so versatile this week. It can be turned into so many different things!
I'll be honest. I don't like my card. I'm really disappointed in how it turned out and that I couldn't turn it into what I envisioned in my mind! Alas, what can you do?!
I used the tea cup from the Reverse Confetti "Be a Barista" stamp set. I used my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers to colour it. The tea turned out better than I had hoped which is sadly the only part of the card I liked. I tried all different colour combinations but nothing really worked. This is the one I went with. I was going to try and change it up yesterday but then I had to go into the school for a follow up to something I had been working on and there went the day!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Tempting Turquoise, Watercolour paper
Stamps: Be a Barista (Reverse Confetti)
Ink: Stazon Black, Versamark
Other: Be A Barista Confetti Cuts, Falling Snow Embossing Folder, White Embossing Powder, Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers, Dimensionals
Thanks so much for stopping by! I can't wait to see what you come up with this week! Head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog for some inspiration!
Have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #231
Hello!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you're week has started out well! We have had a good start to the week. The boys have a PA Day on Friday so they get the day off school. I don't quite know what we'll be doing but I'll have to think of something exciting! I'm sure running around doing grocery shopping won't quite fit the bill! I can't see why not?!
We have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches! Our hostess this week is the fabulous Karren Johnson! Karren is such a creative card maker! I totally love the fun cards she makes!
I needed a sympathy card this week. I love the Field Flowers stamp set for sympathy cards. I actually love it for any cards. I wish it hadn't retired! I used a combination of Sahara Sand and Early Espresso to create the flowers. I used some scraps I had to create the end pieces. There is no science to the end measurements. I kinda just cut them and glued them together!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Early Espresso
DSP: I can't remember where this is from...It's SU though!
Stamps: Field Flowers, Sentiment Flags (Lil' Inkers)
Ink: Sahara Sand, Early Espresso, Old Olive
Other: Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Basic Pearls, Sentiment Flag Die, Dimesionals
Thanks again for stopping in today! I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to check out the amazing cards the Design Team has created! We can't wait to see what you'll create for our challenge!
Have a wonderful day!
Jen
