Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #84
Hello!
It's Wednesday again! How did that happen? We were at Caleb's Awana awards night at our church tonight. Caleb was so fired up! He loves his ribbons and we are so proud of his hard work!
Today brings us another new and fabulous sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. The fabulous Linda S brings us a great sketch this week. This sketch stumped me. I wasn't sure what I was going to do then I remembered that I needed a card for my In Laws anniversary. After I got the card made I remembered that it was their 40th! Not a typical 40th anniversary card but I think my Mother In Law would much rather have black and silver than ruby!!!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer
DSP: Neutrals DSP Paper Stack (Black polka dots)
Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Versamark, Basic Black
Other: Silver Embossing Powder, Basic Rhinestones, Square Lattice Textured Embossing Folder, Bitty Banners Framelits Die, Timeless Type Dies
Here's a picture of Caleb (the one with the award in the air!) and his friend Jackson (the little boy with his arm in the air beside Caleb) received their awards! Super cute!
Thanks for stopping by! Please head on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the beautiful cards the Design Team has created for you!
Have a great day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #70
Hello!
This might be the second post of the day for some of you...I'm a little slow today at getting things going! I'm looking forward to a few minutes in my craft room this afternoon. I have a few cards and MANY invitations I need to be working on. I also hear that my favourite UPS delivery man might be coming to visit me tomorrow! There's also a DHL delivery man coming but he's bringing airplanes and they certainly aren't for me!!!
I wanted to keep today's Freshly Made Sketches challenge card simple. Rita Wright (who is amazingly talented and has the most beautiful little girl!) has a fabulous sketch for us today and I wanted to make a card that didn't take me hours. I don't have hours and most of you don't have hours! I wanted something I could repeat and change out colours and embellishments easily!
Cardstock: Midnight Muse, Very Vanilla, Summer Starfruit
DSP: Print Poetry DSP Stack
Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Topsy Turvey
Ink: Versamark, Midnight Muse
Other: Clear Embossing Powder, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Basic Rhinestones, Natural Trim Ribbon, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by! Head on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to see all of the other fabulous design team cards! What a talented bunch of ladies!!!
Have a great day!

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge
Hello!
The weekend is here! I had a great day today (Saturday)! My husband let me sleep in a tad which was wonderful. The boys went out to the flying field this afternoon and left me in a quiet house! It was lovely....absolutely lovely! I created a special wall hanging this afternoon for my neighbour Owen who LOVES Halloween. I can't say I'm a big Halloween fan myself however he and his brother have drawn pumpkins all over the driveway and the anticipation in their house is building for October 31st! I'll have some pictures for you tomorrow!
Today's card is for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge. I love Black and White cards! I decided to add is some red to this one! I love red! I wanted to use the Mixed Bunch stamp set and the coordinating Blossom Punch. I should have used the Delicate Doily Embossing folder or the Vintage Wallpaper but I chose the Fancy Fan instead! I cut a flower out of the black before I adhered the red flower on. I also embossed the flower in clear embossing powder!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red
Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Itty Bitty Banners
Ink: Versamark, Basic Black
Other: Real Red Satin Ribbon, Clear Embossing Powder, Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, 3/4" Circle Punch, Basic Rhinestones, Bitty Banners Framelites, Dimensionals, Blossom Punch
Here's a picture of my little sweetheart before he headed off to his first full day of school. Hard to believe it. He did awesome! He said he had a great day and came home absolutely exhausted!
Have a great day!

Dynamic Duos Flowers
Hello!
How's your week going? I just did another night of boot camp and I'm feeling the burn...oh and I'm seriously tired!
Today the boys had swimming lessons and my youngest who has never been a lover of the pool decided that going underwater, floating and trying to swim was fantastic so he spent more time under the water than on top! This a HUGE step for this little guy. I am one happy mom tonight!
Okay so I "whipped" up a card for the Dynamic Duos challenge this week. Okay it wasn't whipping...it took me forever since I had helpers!!!
The Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink combo threw me for a bit of a loop since I'm not a subtles personality girl BUT once I added in some black I felt a bit better! Okay I ruffled my ribbon again...I love ruffled ribbon. I just can't help it! I used some SU pink rhinestones that I had left in my stash! I kinda think I need to add a button...or something...
Supplies:
Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Basic Black. Whisper White, Certainly Celery
Stamps: Itty Bitty Banners, Mixed Bunch
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery
Other: Rhinestones, Two Step Bird Punch, Bitty Banners Framelits, Certainly Celery Ribbon, Lady Brocade Embossing Folder
Thanks for stopping by!
Have an amazing day!

Okay so today's card is for the Paper Players Challenge this week. It's sketch week and the very creative and inspiring Lesley Croghan has a fabulous sketch for us!
I need a card this week for my Aunt's birthday! I really wanted to use this particular piece of Comfort Cafe DSP so I had to make the card work around the paper...I'm losing it I think!!!
Sorry this is short...I gotta get the boys out the door in about 10 minutes!!! At least they're ready to go!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Midnight Muse, Soft Suede
DSP: Comfort Cafe (again...I know, I'm sorry!)
Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Create a Cupcake (Sentiment)
Ink: Midnight Muse, Crumb Cake
Other: Dimensionals, Blossom Punch, Word Window Punch, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Delicate Designs Textured Embossing Folder, Basic Pearls

CAS-ual Friday's Bling
Hello!
I hope you've enjoyed your weekend! We had a nice, quiet relaxing weekend! I think those are my favourite kind! I managed to get a few cards done this afternoon while my dearest husband took our two monkeys swimming!
So, if you haven't read, heard etc....I have been picked to join the Freshly Made Sketches Design Team!!! I am so incredibly excited and honoured! I can't wait to get working with Lesley and her fabulous Clean Team! Check out their blog on Wednesday for my first contribution!!!
Today's card is my submission for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge. This week's challenge was to create a clean and simple card that used gemstones, glitter or anything that sparkles. I saw the challenge and thought to myself - this one's going to be easy! I started creating my first card for one of my best friend's...it turned out disastrous and will be the highlight of tomorrow's blog post! After that it took me a while to come up with another one. Oh the joys of card making!
Thanks for stopping by!

CAS-ual Fridays Birthday
Hello!
I love CAS (Clean and Simple) cards...they totally fit my personality...which is kind of sad! I found the CAS-ual Friday's sketch a little bit of a stretch for me this week since I had to use opposite colours! It is fun to stretch the imagination!
The goal of CAS cards is to have a fair bit of "white" space...that being said the "white" space doesn't necessarily have to be white...I tend to prefer white for whatever reason!!!
Anyhow, I wanted to use my Mixed Bunch stamp set again...I love this set and find I can use it for so much and get so many different cards out of it. I also used my Melon Embossing Powder on this card to add a little extra something!
Thanks for stopping by! Hopefully I'll have a Mojo Monday card for you tomorrow!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie
Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Curly Cute
Ink: Basic Black, Versamark
Other: Melon Embossing Power, Brights Button, Floss, Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Dimensionals

CAS in Rich Razzleberry

Hello! Okay, so I didn't fall off the face of the earth....it may just seem that way! I have been busily working on some wedding invitations for a friend that I finished a few minutes ago. They really have consumed my life for the last two weeks. I had a minute today to work on a card before I picked up the last piece of the invitations.
I decided to give the CAS card challenge on Splitcoast stampers this week (CAS159)! The challenge this week was just colours - Rich Razzleberry and White! I love rich razzleberry. I don't use it too often so it was fun to get it out and play along!
I made the bottom card first and wasn't happy so I decided to try the top one and was happier with the results!
Supplies (top card):
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White
Stamps: Fresh Vintage, Petite Pairs
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Other: Rich Razzleberry Taffeta Ribbon, Beautiful Wings Embosslits, Basic Rhinestones
Supplies (bottom card):
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White
Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Apothecary Art
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Versamark

Twitterpated Birthday

Hello!
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. We had some beautiful weather here in Southern Ontario today! It was almost spring-like this morning. My three boys (including my husband!) were outside driving around their monster truck! I must say they were some cute!!
I tackled the Freshly Made Sketches challenge today. I wanted to give the Mixed Punch stamp set a whirl again along with the new Twitterpated DSP.
The centre of the flower (not the brad) I stamped using the new clear Melon scented embossing powder. It smells just like watermelon! It's delicious!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Grey, Whisper White, Pear Pizazz, Red Riding Hood
DSP: Twitterpated
Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Apothecary Art
Ink: Red Riding Hood, Basic Grey, Versamark
Other: Blossom Punch, Pleated Satin Ribbon, Petal Die, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Glimmer Brad

Birthday Gift Card Holder

Hello!
Today is my husband's birthday! I didn't want to post pictures of his card too soon incase he decided to check it out! He can be a little bit nosey at times!!! Anyhow, I was directed towards a great tutorial on Dawn's Stamping Studio to make this cute little card! Thanks mom for pointing me in the right direction! What would I do without her?!
I showed my 5 year old son the card I made and he look at it, turned up his nose. I asked if he liked it. His response was that he did like it but it needed an airplane! My husband LOVES airplanes! He builds remote controls airplanes. Not little ones either! We're talking 12 foot wing span airplanes! My kids eat, breathe and sleep airplanes too! I didn't quite getting to add in an airplane so I guess the card wasn't exactly perfect!

Cardstock: Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla
DSP: Well Worn, Early Espresso DSP
Stamps: Happiest Birthday Wishes
Ink: Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake

(I didn't give my hubby a Tim Horton's gift card...it just happened to be the only one I could find to work in this card!)
So, I really enjoyed the first card I made so I wanted to make another more girly card!
Yes, it is the Everyday Enchantment DSP again!!! I love it, I can't help it!
I also love the new Mixed Bunch stamp set and coordinating Blossom punch! I do enjoy how this card turned out!
I know, another Tim Horton's gift card! Maybe we should start using them!

DSP: Everyday Enchantment
Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Up, Up and Away
