MOJO Mother's Day!

I am so excited tonight!  I was named "Perfect Princess" for the second week in a row at Freshly Made Sketches!  My thank you card (see a few posts below) was picked by Linda this week!  This is a great challenge to participate in so if you're looking for a new challenge each week - check this one out!

My wrist is getting stronger so I have been making a few more cards!  I wanted to give the MOJO Monday challenge (MOJO236) a whirl this week!

Mother's Day is quickly approaching...I had better get some cards ready for that!  Despite SU's Sale-A-Bration being over I can't resist using the Everyday Enchantment DSP!  I think it's perfect for Mother's Day.

This sketch looks quite simple but I found getting the right colour combination a little challenging!

DSP: Everyday Enchantment
Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Enchanted Elegance

Hi!
Another CASE'd card today!  I wasn't able to get into my craft room today :(

I saw this card somewhere...I can't remember where now but the one I saw was digital.  I decided to try it out with good ol' paper!  I do love the digital projects but tend to save them for my scrapbooks!

Anyhow, I really enjoy the Elementary Elegance stamp set and you all know how I feel about the Everyday Enchantment paper!  The Sale-A-Bration sale doesn't last forever so I highly recommend stocking up while you can!!!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
DSP: Everyday Enchantment
Stamps: Elementary Elegance
Ink: Early Espresso
Other: Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Everyday Enchantment Brads

Be My Valentine

Hello!

Just wanted to let you know that I'm currently offering ribbon shares.  If you go to the tab just under the title bar you'll see "Ribbon Shares".  Click there to see all the details!

Wanted to post a little Valentine's Day card I made! This is a total CASE of Mary Fish's (Stampin' Pretty) card that she made.  I changed a couple of things but pretty much copied it!  I thought it was a wonderfully colourful, fun card!

I used the new Melon Scented Embossing Powder on this card for the stamped heart! I really do love the smell!  How fun is it to have a scratch and sniff card?!  I must say I thought Mary did a fabulous job of designing this card!  So much fun to CASE!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Lucky Limeade, Peach Parfait, Pool Party
DSP: Everyday Enchantment
Stamps: PS I Love You
Ink: Red Riding Hood
Other: Lucky Limeade Ribbon, Word Window Punch, Full Heart Punch, Heart to Heart Punch, Edgelit Dies, Edgelit Embossing Folder, Heart Dies (non-SU).

Birthday Gift Card Holder

Hello!
Today is my husband's birthday!  I didn't want to post pictures of his card too soon incase he decided to check it out!  He can be a little bit nosey at times!!!  Anyhow, I was directed towards a great tutorial on Dawn's Stamping Studio to make this cute little card!   Thanks mom for pointing me in the right direction!  What would I do without her?!

I showed my 5 year old son the card I made and he look at it, turned up his nose.  I asked if he liked it.  His response was that he did like it but it needed an airplane!  My husband LOVES airplanes!  He builds remote controls airplanes.  Not little ones either!  We're talking 12 foot wing span airplanes!  My kids eat, breathe and sleep airplanes too!  I didn't quite getting to add in an airplane so I guess the card wasn't exactly perfect!

Supplies (for this card):
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla
DSP: Well Worn, Early Espresso DSP
Stamps: Happiest Birthday Wishes
Ink: Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake

(I didn't give my hubby a Tim Horton's gift card...it just happened to be the only one I could find to work in this card!)

So, I really enjoyed the first card I made so I wanted to make another more girly card!
Yes, it is the Everyday Enchantment DSP again!!!  I love it, I can't help it!

I also love the new Mixed Bunch stamp set and coordinating Blossom punch!  I do enjoy how this card turned out!

I know, another Tim Horton's gift card!  Maybe we should start using them!

Cardstock: Red Riding Hood, Pool Party, Every Vanilla
DSP: Everyday Enchantment
Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Up, Up and Away
Ink: Pool Party, Red Riding Hood, Crumb Cake
Other: Blossom Punch, Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon, Everyday Enchantment Brads, Dimensionals, Top Note Die

Card Sketch Challenge Tea Cups

 Hello!
I had a few minutes this afternoon to start on a card...not the card I need to be working on but a card none the less.  I used the sketch from Splitcoaststampers Card Sketch Challenge (SC370).  The example sketch has an optional front panel/pocket which I decided I would try to incorporate.

It all started out well until I realized that no one would probably realize they are to untie the knot to open the panel!  Perhaps a little tag indicating "Open" is in order!!!

I do love the new Tea Shoppe stamp set from Stampin' Up!  For anyone who truly knows me, you know how much I LOVE tea, tea cups and tea pots!

Well, I did bootcamp two nights in a row and I'm feeling much like rubber...maybe even worse than rubber!  I think closer to spaghetti!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Calypso Coral
DSP: Everyday Enchantment
Stamps: Tea Shoppe
Ink: Calypso Coral, Crump Cake, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade
Other: Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, Dimensionals, Vintage Wall Paper Embossing Folder, Modern Label Punch

Thanks for stopping by!

MOJO Monday Challenge

Hello!
Sorry for not posting yesterday!  I had two little boys up all day and I didn't step foot in my craft room!  I wanted to tackle the MOJO Monday challenge today!  This is a great blog updated every Monday...check it out!  They have some fantastic sketches and a fabulous design team to provide some beautiful examples.

I had to use the Everyday Enchantment DSP again! I can't help it!  I just LOVE it!  I can't wait for the Sale-a-Bration to start so I can hook myself up with some more!

I love the flower on this card!  My mom taught me how to make them! I love my mom!  She finds the greatest things online and then teaches me!!!  To make this flower, you run cardstock through a paper crimper 15 times (at least I think it's 15...I couldn't actually remember)!  This breaks the fibres in the paper and allows you to be able to pull the layers apart.  After you've crimped your paper you can punch out your flowers.  For this particular card I used the 2 3/8" scalloped circle, the 1 3/4" scalloped circle and then the boho blossoms punch.  Once your shape is punched out you can very carefully pull the layers apart.  I only separate the circles into two layers...they can be pretty thin.  Then I take the individual layers and crumple them up into little balls.  After that, spread them out and put a brad or button in the centre and voila!

Hope you enjoy today's card!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade
DSP: Everyday Enchantment
Ink: Crumb cake (for sponging), soft suede, calypso coral
Stamps: I Believe
Other: Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon,  Everyday Enchantment Brad, 2 3/8" Scalloped Circle Punch, 1 3/4" Scalloped Circle Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, Bird Punch, Lattice Embossing Folder, Vintage wallpaper Embossing Folder, Dimensionals

Create with Connie and Mary Challenge

Happy Saturday!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!  We have had a busy weekend with a sick 5 year old who seems to be on the mend!  Thankfully he heals quickly!

I wanted to take part in the "Create with Connie and Mary" sketch challenge (CCMC184) this weekend. I enjoyed the sketch though it took me a while to come up with a colour combination I was happy with!  I do find that sketches really stretch my imagination at times!

I tried out the Edgelits Dies and Textured Impressions Adorning Accents (both of which are available in the new Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalogue).  They were super fun (and fairly easy) to use.  What a great way to add a border to a card!  I also used the DSP, ribbon and brad from the Sale-a-bration catalogue (which starts January 24th).

Hope you enjoy today's card!  I will be posting one tomorrow for a different sketch challenge!

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Calypso Coral
DSP: Everyday Enchantement (sale-a-bration)
Stamps: Non-SU
Ink: Early Espresso

Sketch Challenge Valentine

Happy Sunday!

I do hope everyone is having an enjoyable weekend.  We had a few bumps in our day yesterday but in the end we did have a nice weekend with some wonderful weather.  Have you thought about your word yet for 2012?  I have finally decided on mine.  It took a lot of thought and some consultation with those much wiser than I but I have chosen "Joy"...or "Choose Joy".  This is a concept which I struggle with and I need to change.  Not only do I want to be full of joy, I want to bring joy to others around me in whatever way I can.  I'm excited to hear what words you've chosen so feel free to share!

I decided to participate in a sketch challenge this week. There are tons of card challenges on the internet.  This one is by "Freshly Made Sketches".  I love this blog and refer to it often for ideas!

Here is this week's sketch.  All you have to do is follow it!  It's fabulous and I was excited to use some of the products from the Stampin' Up Occasions Mini Catalogue!

Here's my card1  I used the new PS I Love You stamp set as well as the new Fashionable Heart Emosslits Die.  I thought it was cute for Valentine's Day!  Try out the sketch challenge today!  It's a super easy way to jump start your creativity!

Valentine's Day and a Bow Maker?

Valentine's Day is fast approaching!  I can't believe it.  How does the time go by so quickly?!  I am getting into "love" mode around here to be ready for the Big Day!  I saw a really cute card on Inking Idaho this week.  I wanted to try one of her little cards out for myself!  The card I made doesn't open - it would just be like a regular valentine that you would write on the back of.  I want to "whip up" a few more of these this weekend if possible!

Now take a look at the bow on this card....
I love bows on cards but I do not possess the most superb bow tying abilities.  This bow was SUPER EASY!  I was able to use a new gift that my Darling Husband made me for Christmas!  He made me a Bow Tying "machine".  it's wonderful!  Makes any size bow (okay there are limits) and as many loops as your little heart desires!  This bow has three loops on each side.  The bows also stay tied and DO NOT loosen!  Such a quick way to add a little dimension to cards!

Here is a shot of my bow maker!  I had found some pictures online and saw they were available for purchase but knew Trevor would be completely capable of making me one.  He even made my mom one!  What a way to win over his MIL!  What would I do without him?!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
