Quint-Essential Flower Card

Hello!
I hope everyone who went out Trick or Treating had a great time!  My little boys got a little wet but they seemed to enjoy themselves.  Jacob went about half way around our block before he announced he was done and had enough candy!  How can he have enough candy?!  Does he not know that Mommy needs her share too?!  Thankfully they're not really candy addicts so I'm good to go on getting my fix!

I had a few minutes to get a card done this afternoon.  I decided to combine two challenges - the Dynamic Duos (More Mustard and So Saffron) and the Paper Players sketch challenge.   I love More Mustard and So Saffron together!  They are probably two of my favourite monochromatic colours!  I decided to use the Quint-Essential Flower stamp for this card.  I love this stamp!  It's so easy to change each layer to be the colour you want!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, More Mustard, So Saffron
DSP: First Edition
Stamps: Quint-Essential Flower, Create a Cupcake
Ink: More Mustard, So Saffron, Basic Black
Other: Scalloped Circle Punches, Circle Punches, Bitty Banner Framelits, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Caleb was so proud of his costume tonight.  He loved being a yellow Lego block!  Thank you Daddy for doing such a fabulous on his costume!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a fabulous day!

Merry Monday Sparkles

Hello!
Hope you are ready for the weekend!  I know I am.  I actually thought Caleb would be more tired after a week of school but he wasn't too bad.  I was excited that I didn't have to make any lunches tonight!!!

I wanted to Tackle the Merry Monday sketch this week.  I really love how I can get my Christmas cards at least started before I actually need them!  If I start in January I should be good to go by next Christmas!

Blue and Silver aren't my favourite Christmas colours but I didn't think the snowflake would look too good in a colour other than silver!  I decided to pair the silver up with Midnight Muse (since it's my new favourite!).  I added a lot of dimension to this card oh and don't forget the bling!!!

The embossing folder is retired but I still do love it for Christmas cards!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Midnight Muse, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer
DSP: Midnight Muse Paper Stack
Stamps: Quint-Essential Flower, Mixed Medley
Ink: Midnight Muse, Versamark
Other: Silver Embossing Powder, Bitty Banners Framelits, Embossing Folder (I can't remember the name...sorry!), Scalloped Circle Punches, 3/4" Circle Punch, Basic Rhinestones

Okay so one more picture of my babes...this is Caleb's first day of school (Tuesday).  I made them pose together...one of them was more excited than the other...tonight though they couldn't wait to sleep together!  They are in Jacob's bunk beds happy as little bugs in rugs!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a fabulous weekend!

Quint-essentially for you!

Hello!
Hope you had a great weekend and are ready to tackle the week!  I am looking forward to an exciting weekend - and the birthday of a very special little boy!!!

Today's card is for this week's Create with Connie and Mary challenge.  This week was a colour challenge and they picked some of my favourite colours!  Who doesn't love Midnight Muse, Daffodil Delight and Gumball Green?  Seriously?!  I'm in love!

I used the sketch from this week's Clean and Simple Cards challenge on Splitscoast Stampers since I thought it would work perfectly with the three colours!

I used the Quint-Essential Flower and then combined it with the new Hostess Set from the Holiday Catalogue - Mixed Medley!  I just love those little scalloped circles!!!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Midnight Muse, Whisper White
DSP: Midnight Muse DSP Pack
Stamps: Quint-Essential Flower, Mixed Medley
Ink: Midnight Muse, Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green
Other:  Daffodil Delight Ribbon, Dimensionals, Scalloped Circle Punches (2 3/8", 1 3/4" and 1 1/4"),  3/4 " Circle Punch, Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder

Here's a picture of my littlest sweetheart setting up his train set!  He was so excited!  He couldn't wait for Daddy to get home to help him tear open the box.  Needless to say the train didn't fit on the dining room table so it ended up on my living room floor!

Freshly Made Sketches #41

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  Half way through the week already!  Looking forward to Friday and a long weekend here in Canada!  I love Canada Day!  The kindergarten scrapbooks are done and have gone home with the kids!   I sure hope they enjoy them!

Wednesday's also mean that there is a new challenge at Freshly Made Sketches!  I love Wednesday's and I love seeing all the fabulous cards that get posted!

I decided I had better not use Comfort Cafe paper again or I'd risk getting thrown off the design team!!! I cracked open the Floral District paper instead!  Rich Razzleberry is one of my favourite colours!!!  It's so bright and fun!

Cindy (who is so incredibly talented) had a great sketch for us!  Rectangles!!!  Then look, I didn't even use them!!!

Stop by the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the other fabulous design team cards!  You won't be disappointed!

Just one more cute hand made card for you today!  Mrs. Cooper (Caleb's teacher) had the kids make me a thank you card for helping in the classroom!  The kids each wrote what I helped them do.  They are so sweet and I must admit I got a little teary.  Such a fabulous group of kids.  I am so thankful that Jacob will have Mrs. Cooper next year!!!

Quint-Essential Birthday

Hello!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend.  We were supposed to go and visit my parents this weekend but with my youngest babe being sick yesterday we decided to stay close to the walk in clinic in case his fever returned this morning - which thankfully it didn't!

We had a good day - quieter than usual but still fun.  I managed to get a couple of cards done which I was happy about!  I still have Kindergarten scrapbooks to finish up.  Caleb's teacher handed me an armful of artwork on Thursday so I have a good evening's worth of work to do!

I really wanted to tackle the Colour Q challenge this week.  The colours looked so fun and definitely were not colours I would put together!  I also learned of a "new" challenge - or at least new to me via the lovely Lesley Croghan.  Her friend has a Sunday Stamps challenge that had a fun sketch that worked perfectly for the my 5 colours!  Unfortunately I realized after I had stamped the flower that I was supposed to use Vanilla instead of White...oops!  I also didn't have any "Soft Sky" so I substituted Pool Party instead!

If you haven't checked out Sunday Stamps - head on over to the blog (linked above) and give it a whirl!

Oh and yes, I used that argyle embossing folder again!  I love it - and am totally regretting not ordering the Fancy Fan embossing folder...it will be in my next order...

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Island Indigo, Pool Party, Cameo Coral
Stamps: Quint-Essential Flower, Itty Bitty Banners
Ink: Island Indigo, Pool Party, Crushed Curry, Basic Black, Cameo Coral
Other: Scallped Circle Punches, Circle Punches, Bitty Banner Framelit Dies, Finished Touches Edgelits Dies, Pool Party Bakers Twine, Basic Rhinestones, Argyle Textured Embossing Folder, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Bitty Banner Framelits Dies

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great weekend!
