Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #285
Happy Wednesday! We are currently sitting in the middle of the last full week in April! How did that happen? I feel like it was just the beginning of March and we are cruising into May and closer to my son's 11th birthday. Mom needs to get working on this. Turning 11 is a big deal and since this is his first year without a party, I need to change my course of planning and figure out something really fun to do as a family to celebrate!
We have a great new sketch today at Freshly Made Sketches courtesy of one of our resident Texans! On a side note - I would love to visit Texas sometime. I just think it's just one of those places I need to see! I imagine there are cacti and cowboy hats everywhere. I'm pretty sure that's not the case though! Anyhow, Amy O'Neill is our amazing hostess this week. She is our super creative, colour whiz. I always am awed by the cool designs and combinations she comes up with!
Amy's sketch threw me for a bit of a loop. I originally had one design in mind but realized quickly that wouldn't work so moved onto Plan B. Now, Plan B saw a few renditions but I settled on this very gold accented one! I happened to have this one sheet of DSP from the Pop of Pink pack and I had to use it! I think this card will work nicely to celebrate my in laws upcoming wedding anniversary!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Gold Foil
DSP: Pop of Pink
Stamps: Sweet Celebrations (Lil Inkers)
Ink: Black
Other: Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits, Celebrate Word Die (Lil Inkers), Double Stitched Circles (Lil Inkers), Dimensionals
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll pop on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the beautiful cards the Design Team has created for you! You will be inspired!
Have a fabulous day!

Hello!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you're having a great start to your week and had a lovely Easter weekend! We had a fabulous Easter and enjoyed some amazing church services and a delicious Easter dinner! It was a beautiful weekend and we all enjoyed a lot of outside time! Overall a fabulous weekend!
We have a great new sketch today at Freshly Made Sketches! Our hostess this week is the fabulous Karren Johnson! Karren's cards are gorgeous! I am always amazing by her creativity!
Karren's sketch is so fun this week and it's super versatile! I had lots of fun playing along! I had this DSP stack sitting on my craft table from a card I made a while ago and knew I just had to use it again. Those flowers are just too sweet! Of course I needed to use my Botanical Builders. I honestly cannot believe that this fabulous framelits are retiring! I may have also added some wink of stella to the flowers because what flowers don't need a little sparkle?!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Watermelon Wonder, Basic Black
DSP: SU DSP Stack - I can't remember the name!!
Stamps: I can't remember where this one is from either - I'm doing really well aren't I?!
Ink: Black Stazon
Other: Botanical Builders Framelits, Basic Pearls, Wink of Stella, Dimensionals
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to check out the other fabulous cards the Design Team has created or you!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #282
Hello!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you're having a great week! It's hard to believe it's already April and spring is hopefully right around the corner. We had a mild winter but spring hasn't exactly been warm and spring like! Let's just say April showers have been plentiful and will hopefully bring lots and lots of pretty May flowers!
We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches courtesy of our wonderful French hostess Cecile Ribon! Cecile makes the most beautiful cards! Head over to her blog and check it out!
I really love the Carried Away DSP and had to use it again! The colours are some of my favourites! At first I thought the squares would be a little too much but when I decided to use that DSP it came together rather quickly. Of course these days I can't seem to make a card without throwing on some sequins or glitter!!!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Smokey Slate, Night of Navy
DSP: Carried Away
Stamps: In a Big Way (MFT)
Ink: Night of Navy
Other: Sequins, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the amazing cards the Design Team has created for you!
Have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #281
Hello!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you're having a great start to your week! We've had some very nice spring weather here lately and all three of the boys in this house seem to have a case of spring fever! Thankfully that means a lot of outside hockey and basketball games which means that everyone is getting lots of fresh air and exercise!
We have a great new sketch today at Freshly Made Sketches! Our hostess this week is the amazing Kim Singdahlsen! Kim is one amazing card maker! She is uber creative and I love her cards! Head over to her blog and you'll see exactly what I mean!
I had a lot of trouble with this sketch. This is not the card I had in mind. I wanted butterflies and greenery and bright, cheery colours. Obviously that's not what I ended up with. I am not happy with the end result. This picture doesn't show the wavy lines in the background either. The reason for that...I had a glue issue. Honestly, I was a a tad on the discouraged side after this one!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White
Stamps: Dragonfly Dreams
Ink: Versamark
Other: Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits, Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, Copper Embossing Powder
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the cards the design team has created! You won't be disappointed!
Have a fabulous day!

Welcome Little Miss Croghan!
As many of you know, Lesley and Corey Croghan are expecting a sweet baby girl in April! To help these two welcome this sweet bundle, the very creative Lori Turner has asked us to create some cards to send off to the new parents-to-be! If you head over to Lori's blog, you'll see that she's got a blog hop going. This is my first blog hop. I truly have no idea what I'm doing!!!
I had the wonderful privilege of meeting Lesley in person two summers ago! Lesley's mother in law and my parents happen to live in the same city and we were fortunate enough to both be visiting our respective parents at the same time and were able to sneak out for a lunch together! Lesley is truly as sweet in person as she is on her blog!
I am truly thankful for Lesley and all the card challenges she has created! She posted a long time ago for some openings on the Freshly Made Sketches Design Team. I loved that challenge. I had dreamed of being able to join that team of wonderful ladies. Lesley gave me that change and I will forever be grateful! It truly has been one of the best experiences and I've created friendships that I will treasure forever!
Lesley and Corey, we are so excited for you and can't wait for your little girl to arrive! You will make amazing parents!
Congratulations!
