Welcome Little Miss Croghan!

As many of you know, Lesley and Corey Croghan are expecting a sweet baby girl in April!  To help these two welcome this sweet bundle, the very creative Lori Turner has asked us to create some cards to send off to the new parents-to-be!  If you head over to Lori's blog, you'll see that she's got a blog hop going.  This is my first blog hop.  I truly have no idea what I'm doing!!!

I had the wonderful privilege of meeting Lesley in person two summers ago! Lesley's mother in law and my parents happen to live in the same city and we were fortunate enough to both be visiting our respective parents at the same time and were able to sneak out for a lunch together!  Lesley is truly as sweet in person as she is on her blog!

I am truly thankful for Lesley and all the card challenges she has created!  She posted a long time ago for some openings on the Freshly Made Sketches Design Team.  I loved that challenge.  I had dreamed of being able to join that team of wonderful ladies.  Lesley gave me that change and I will forever be grateful!  It truly has been one of the best experiences and I've created friendships that I will treasure forever!

Lesley and Corey, we are so excited for you and can't wait for your little girl to arrive!  You will make amazing parents!

Congratulations!

Jen

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #275

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you've had a great start to your week!  The week is flying by here!  Did you have a nice Valentine's Day yesterday?  We had a lovely day here.  It was sunny for a good chunk of the day and nice and warm.  Melted some of the snow away!  We indulged in some chocolate covered strawberries after dinner.  They are an annual family tradition!  I probably should make them more often because they sure are delicious!

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the amazing Narelle Farrugia.  Narelle is the queen of gorgeous flowers and fussy cutting.  Head over to her blog and you'll see exactly what I mean!!  Super talented!

I opted for a different card for this sketch.  I made it but it just wasn't doing it for me.  Not sure why but I didn't love it.  I then discovered that I needed a card for my friend Tracey who finished her last radiation treatment last Tuesday.  She is in our bootcamp class and has been at almost every class throughout her chemo and her radiation.  A true inspiration for us!  Our group wants to congratulate her on finishing her treatments!

I love this stamp/die set from Lil' Inkers!  The flowers look like they're inked a little weird but it's really that they're covered in Wink of Stella.  You had to know that right?!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Smokey Slate
Stamps: Warm Welcome (Lil' Inkers), Sentiment Flags (Lil' Inkers)
Ink: Stazon Black, Crushed Curry, Real Red, Gumball Green, Marina Mist
Other: Basic Rhinestones, Warm Welcome Dies, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to check out the beautiful cards that the Design Team has created for you!  We can't wait to see what you come up with this week!

Have a great day!

Jen

Happy Birthday!

Hello!
Happy Sunday!  I bet you're wondering what's going on and why I'm posting on a Sunday!  Well, my boys have gone to spend a week with my parents and so I have a little bit (okay a lot) of extra time on my hands.  I used that time this weekend to make a few cards!!  I'm pretty pumped about that!  I haven't been feeling too creative lately so I'm hoping that this week my creativity returns a bit while I have time!!!

I decided to play along with this week's Global Design Project Challenge.  This week is a "Case the Designer" challenge.  I love the butterfly and I love the background and decided to case the general design of the card.
I kept with the gold/neutral theme and used the wreath from the Warm Welcome Set (Lil Inkers) and add some gold flowers and a little green butterfly!  I threw some splotches in the background, added some sequins and embossed a sentiment in gold!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Gold
Stamps: Gorgeous Grunge (SU), Butterfly Basics (SU), Warm Welcome (Lil Inkers)
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Early Espresso, Versamark
Other: Warm Welcome Dies (Lil Inkers), Sequins, Gold Embossing Powder, Dimensionals

Thanks again for stopping by!
I hope you have a fabulous day!!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #242

Hello
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week!  My boys have a count down to the end of school.  I believe there are 7 school days left.  It seems like the year is dragging on this year!  My kids are done and can't wait for the summer holidays to start!  I could use a few extra days to get ready for camp but I don't think that's going to happen!

We have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches today!  Our hostess this week is the amazing Narelle Farrugia!  Narelle is the queen of layers and flowers and everything amazing!  Her sketch is pretty fun too!  Of course they are some giant circles on there!
I knew as soon as I saw this sketch that I wanted to use my new wreath die from Lil' Inkers!  I couldn't wait to crack it open!  I may have also ordered the Silly Stitched Die Set too!  I love those random wonky lines!  I needed a baby card so I decided I would see if I could make this work!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Crumb Cake
Stamps: Warm Welcome (Lil' Inkers)
Ink: Stazon Black, Marina Mist, Cucumber Crush, So Saffron
Other: Warm Welcome Dies (Lil Inkers), Silly Stitched Dies (Lil Inkers), Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to see all the amazing cards the design team has created for you!

Have a fabulous day!
