Hello!
I must apologize for being MIA for the last few days! I've been filling card orders and that has taken up a lot of my time! I am also about to fill a wedding invitation order so I may be sporadic over the next couple of weeks!
So Valentine's Day! Who doesn't love it?! My husband and I will be celebrating our 16th Valentine's Day together! Hard to believe I was only 18 when we started dating!
This isn't the card I made for my husband but the one I made for my mom and dad and for my son's teacher. My parents and I love tea and one of my favourite things is to have tea with my parents! I figured this was perfect. I pinned it on Pinterest and will post the link tomorrow!
My son's teacher, Mrs. Cooper is a lovely lady who starts each day with a coffee from McDonald's. I don't blame her! My son wrote her a little one on one side of the insert and we attached a McDonald's gift card to the other side.
Thanks for stopping by!

Freshly Made Apothecary!

I finally was able to spend a few minutes in my craft room today! Who know this week would turn into craziness! Anyhow, I love tackling the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. This week Lesley had another great sketch.
My card didn't exactly turn out the way I thought it was going to. This wasn't at all the card I had in my head when I started. I'm probably going to give it another whirl later this week...I guess that would be tomorrow wouldn't it?!
Anyhow, the new Apothecary stamp set and the Framelits Labels Dies are so fun to work with!

CAS Challenge Thank You Card
Happy Tuesday!
Today is my crazy day! I am thankful it's almost over but I still have bootcamp to go tonight! I don't think I'll get this post quite done before it's time to leave!
I wanted to make a quick card this afternoon while Jacob was napping (and before we had to go to the school) and decided to take a look at Splitcoaststampers CAS (Clean and Simple) Challenge. The challenge this week involved die-cuts. That seemed pretty straight forward to me. I really enjoy CAS cards... they're more my style!
I was reading a great post by Nathalie Hardy as she was discussing Project Life...in a nutshell she was saying that we can get very overwhelmed looking at what other's are doing...they may create more elaborate cards, or such amazing scrapbook pages and we can get discouraged thinking our's aren't good enough. I really needed to read that post. It made me realize that the clean and simple cards (and scrapbook pages) that I enjoy are good enough for me. They may not be your style and that's okay! So when you see a card or scrapbook page and think "wow, I wish I could make something like that"...DON'T! Find your style and be proud of it!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Gray, Whisper White
Ink: Red Riding Hood
Stamps: Perfectly Penned
Other: Pleated Satin Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die
