Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #179

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great start to your week!  We are having a bit of a cold spell here in Southern Ontario.  We had some nice warm weather on Saturday but it has quickly changed!  Not very spring like at all!  I did see my first robin on Saturday which is a sure indication that spring is coming, maybe just not as soon as we'd like!

Being Wednesday, we have a fabulous new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches!  I just love this week's sketch and of course the fabulous creator - our talented and creative Amy O'Neill!

This has got to be one of my favourite sketches!  There are just so many possibilities for it.  I couldn't wait to crack open my Sheltering Tree stamp set.  At first I wasn't sure what colour to make the leaves but who doesn't love apple or cherry blossoms?!  We don't have any apple or cherry trees close by, and even if we did they sure wouldn't be blossoming with these temperatures but a girl can dream!!!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White
Stamps: Sheltering Tree
Ink: Early Espresso, Wild Wasabi, Strawberry Slush
Other: Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Please head on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the amazing cards the Design Team has created for you!!!  You won't be disappointed!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge!

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!   I hope you're having a great week.  The boys and I flew to visit my parents for our March Break.  It's been such a nice relaxing week. We have had a bit of snow but the boys don't seem to notice and love the time with Grannie and Papa!

You are probably looking for this week's Freshly Made Sketches post!  I would love to show you but I didn't bring my laptop this visit and cannot figure out how to do my post from my iPad!  I'm technologially challenged!

Head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the beautiful cards the Design Team has created for you!

Have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #177

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  Another week is halfway done and we are one step closer to March break here in Ontario!  I am some excited - so are my boys!  We are going to see my parents on Friday and this year we're going to fly so they are beyond pumped to fly on an airplane and see Grannie and Papa all in one day!  I'm not sure they'll be able to contain their excitement!

Today we have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches from the lovely and extremely creative Karren Johnson!  Karren's cards are always so beautiful and fresh!  Head over to her blog and you will not be disappointed!

I didn't freak out when I saw that tiny, little circle!  I knew right away that I needed that circle to be a coffee cup!  This card is going to a special friend who loves coffee and who has been providing Bed and Breakfast services to the man who's painting my house!  I do have the greatest friends!  I am sending some chocolate cupcakes "home" with him tonight and this card!

I do love that coffee cup stamp and die!  I could use it for so many people!  I still have a lot of paper left in my Stacked with Love DSP stack!  Thankfully, since they're double sided and generally have one side that doesn't have hearts, they can be used all year round!

I threw on some sequins.  I just thought it needed a little sparkle!  Who doesn't love a little sparkle?!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red, Kraft
DSP: Stacked with Love DSP Stack
Stamps: Coffee Cozy (Lil' Inkers)
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Coffee Cozy Dies (Lil' Inkers), Sequins, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you have the time to head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the amazing cards the Design Team has created!

Have a wonderful day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #176

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  We here in Southern Ontario had a fun winter surprise today and ended up with some snow and freezing rain.  And here I thought we were done with winter!  The boys enjoyed it and still do love to go outside and play around in the snow!  They were playing some game outside with my neighbour's chocolate lab this afternoon.  It was cute to watch them getting stuck behind the shrubs with this endless energy dog!

We have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week!  This is going to make you think!  Well, it made me think anyhow!   Our fabulous hostess is the one and only Cindy Hall!  She has come up with a beauty!  Please head over to her blog and check out her amazing cards!  I do love Cindy's style!
I had a hard time with this card.  I am not at all happy with the finished product but I haven't been feeling the greatest the last few days and just couldn't figure out how to make this card fabulous!  Some days cards turn out just the way I want, some days they don't!    Thankfully tomorrow is another day!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black
DSP: Brights Paper Stack (retired)
Stamps: Papertrey Ink (I forget the name!)
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Black Rhinestones (random ones from my stash), Black Ribbon (SU), Large Scallop Die, Daisies #2 Die, Circle Punch, Dimensionals.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you get the chance to head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the beautiful cards the Design Team has created for you.  You will be so glad you did!

Have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #175

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I am so glad it's Wednesday.  We are in week 2 or 3 of some very cold, bitter weather.  As a Canadian, you would think I would be use to this weather but I'm not.  I could totally be happy without having this extreme cold.  We are looking forward to some more spring like weather starting next week!  Hopefully it doesn't decide to go somewhere else instead!

I have the great honour of being the hostess this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  You would not believe how stressful it is to come up with a sketch.  I wanted a sketch that was very clean and simple.  No circles!  Not a one!

I decided I would make a card with no stamps!  It was really fun.  I was excited to use my thinlits dies on this card!  As you can see I totally glued the Hello on crooked.  Of course I didn't notice it until I uploaded the photo.  I have a very crooked eye!  I will just say that it add character!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Grey, Whisper White
DSP: Quatrefancy Specialty (Retired)
Other: Hello You Thinlits Die, Stitched Rectangles (Lil' Inkers), Silver Satin Ribbon, Dimenionals

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Please make sure you check out the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the fabulous card the design team has created for you.    I look forward to seeing what you come up with this week!  It's always so fun to see how many different cards can be created from one sketch!

Have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #174

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week so far!  We are still in a deep freeze in Southern Ontario though I must admit that yesterday wasn't too bad and today is supposed to be similar and then we plunge back into some mighty cold temperatures!  I guess it could be worse and we could be experiencing the deep snow that the East Coast is getting nailed with....Sorry Jen and Linda!

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches courtesy of the super creative Cindy Lovell!  Cindy's cards are so amazing and you need to check out her blog if you haven't been there before.  You will discover a world of beautiful things!

This sketch has another giant circle on it.  I seriously think these ladies are trying to do me in!!!  I was staring at the circle and decided that a beautiful spring wreath would work wonderfully for a circle!  The background and diagonal stripe took a little work to get them so that I was happy but the card didn't take as long as they usually do!  I think I should whip up a few more while I'm on a roll!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper white, Wild Wasabi
Stamps: Crazy for You, Wondrous Wreath, Pictogram Punches
Ink: Basic Black, Strawberry Slush, Crushed Curry, Wild Wasabi, Garden Green
Other: Itty Bitty Accents Punch, Wondrous Wreath Framelits Die, Basic Rhinestones, Strawberry Slush Thick Bakers Twine,  Modern Mosaic Textured Embossing Folder

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Please head on over to the Freshly Made Sketches Blog and check out the beautiful cards the design team has created for you!  You will not be disappointed!

CAS(E) This Sketch Hello!

Hello!
Happy Tuesday!  I don't normally get to post on a Tuesday afternoon!  It's been a very chilly start to the week.  We celebrated Family Day here in Ontario yesterday and were able to go skating together - thankfully indoors!  It was so fun to see the kids skate around and remember that even last year Jake had trouble skating on his own.  This year he whipped around like no one's business!  They are growing far too fast!

I have missed making cards for challenges and had a few minutes this afternoon to make a card.  I can honestly say that cards don't usually come together quickly but I knew when I looked at the sketch from this week's CAS(E) This Sketch challenge exactly what I wanted to make!  This is a very rare occurrence...trust me!

I love butterflies and I think I could put them on every card I make!  I tried making tho scare with sequins (and I do love sequins) but there was just something about it I didn't like.  I decided this one could just be plain.    I like simple...a lot!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Bermuda Bay
Stamps: Papillon Potpourri, In a Big Way (Reverse Confetti),  Dot Spot (PTI)
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Basic Black
Other: Daffodil Delight Blendabilities,  Elegant Butterfly Punch, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today!
I will be back tomorrow with this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge!

Have a great day!
