Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #394

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week so far!  School is almost done here - finally! I  can't wait!  I am excited for school and lunches to be done with!  Bring on summer holidays!  The kids are so done!  I am not sure why we even bother going this week.  I'm not sure they're even doing anything!

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the amazing Jen Timko!  I love Jen's cards.  Her colouring is fantastic and she is so creative.  You need to head over to her blog and check them out.

I struggled a bit with this card. I am not completely satisfied with the outcome but that's okay.  I also realized that I totally should have taken the picture landscape.  I don't know what I was thinking when I took the photo!  I find sympathy cards are hard to make and this one was especially hard for me!  I had to haul out the Botanical Builders Dies.  Though retired, they are my favourite flowers ever and I will continue to use them!  I added a sentiment from Sentiment Essentials (Reverse Confetti).  I went with a neutral Kraft background this time!  Wow, it's hard for me to change like that - every ounce of me wanted to do white!!!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Kraft, Whisper White
DSP: Gingham
Stamps: Sentiment Essentials
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Sentiment Essentials Dies, Botanical Builders Dies, Enamel Dots, Dimensionals

Thanks again for stoping by!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches page and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has created!  You will love them!

Have an amazing day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #381

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great start to your week!  We are slowing easing into spring here in Southern Ontario.  It's been fairly nice so far.  Not exactly warm but at least our snow has melted.  Where my parents live though (about 5 hours away), they are still loaded with snow which at the rate we're going may be there until June!!!  My boys were out on the golf course on the weekend (it's not open yet) hitting some balls around and getting in a little spring training.  Let's say they're a little rusty but thankfully it doesn't take long for them to get into the "swing" of things!!

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches courtesy of another one of our newest team members Lee Ann Barrett!  Lee Ann's cards are just beautiful and her colouring is fantastic.  I may have to go and visit her for some colouring lessons!!!

This isn't the first card I made for this challenge.  I went back and forth a few times with different sentiments and different elements.  Nothing looked quite right.  I finally decided on this one and then put it all together and realized this isn't the sentiment I wanted to go on it.  Insert eye roll.  Seriously.  My brain hasn't been working well lately!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, White Glimmer
Paper: Paper Bliss (Reverse Confetti)
Stamps: Tall Blooms, Sentiment Essentials (Reverse Confetti)
Ink: Memento Black
Other: Stampin' Blends, Sentiment Essentials Confetti Cuts, Tall Blooms Confetti Cuts, Sequins (Close to my Heart), Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches Blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has created for your inspiration!  We can't wait to see what you come up with this week!

Have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #374

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  Hope you're having a great week so far! We're having some crazy weather here. Last Tuesday the schools were closed because of a crazy amount of snow.  It was also super cold (like -30C cold)  Then on Monday it was 11 degrees(C) and all of our snow melted!  Now we're supposed to get an insane amount of freezing rain.  I am praying the rain doesn't come because that much freezing rain is never a good thing!!

We have a new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  I have the honour of being this week's hostess!  I decided to tackle my extreme dislike of circles and jump into the circle world with both feet.

I decided to go for a white on white card!  I embossed some white cardstock with the subtle textured embossing folder and I used the glimmer white cardstock for others.  I threw on some white sequins as well just to make things fun!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, White Glimmer
Stamps: Sentiment Essentials (Reverse Confetti)
Ink: Memento Black
Other: Subtle Texture Embossing Folder, Circle Punches, Sequins

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the amazing cards the Design Team has created for your inspiration!

I can't wait to see what you come up with this week!

Have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #372

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're enjoying your week.  If you live in the Eastern part of Canada or the US you're digging out after some snow and starting to thaw after some crazy cold weather.  We didn't get as much snow here as I thought we would get - which is totally okay with me.  It's supposed to actually be warm and rain today which will just make for a big mess.  Oh the joys of winter!  I guess when we live in Canada, we kinda have to expect the cold and snow!!

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the lovely and talented Linda Callahan!  Linda makes amazingly beautiful cards.  I just love them!  She also tells great stories and has a sweet new grandson!  Head over to her blog to check it out!

I am still playing around with some of the fun goodies that I got for Christmas.  I need a birthday for my husband and thought I would work on it early rather than leaving it for the last minute - which I usually do!

I have had this Reverse Confetti Sentiment Essentials stamp set for a while now but only got the matching dies for Christmas.  Apparently I didn't realize when I bought them that there were matching dies!  I paired that with some Reverse Confetti paper and some embossing folders and was off to the races!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Smokey Slate, Blueberry Bushel
Paper: Paper Bliss 6X6 (Reverse Confetti)
Stamps: Sentiment Essentials
Other: Sentiment Essentials Confetti Cuts (Reverse Confetti), Subtle Texture Embossing Folder, Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder, Sequins (Taylored Expressions), Dimensionals

Thanks again so much for stopping in today.  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has created!  You will definitely be glad you did!

Have an amazing day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #348

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're all having a great week!  Can you believe it's August 1st already?  Where did July go!  I feel like we just started summer vacation and here we're already half way through our summer!  We are totally going to have to make the most of the next 4 weeks!

We have a brand new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  I am honoured to be this week's hostess!  I hope you'll find this week's sketch inspiring and you'll play along.  Please remember, you don't need to use squares!  You can use whatever shape you want!

I had some glitter paper sitting on my desk, left over from camp!  There is a lot of left over scraps from camp!  The squares needed a little something extra so I threw on some little flowers!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Glimmer
Stamps: Sentiment Essentials (Reverse Confetti)
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Postage Stamp Punch, Itty Bitty Accent Punch, Basic Rhinestones

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the amazing cards the Design Team has created for your inspiration.

Have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #346

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week!  We are enjoying a great summer so far.  The boys are in a music camp this week.  They are both drummers and a group of kids learns 3-4 songs all week and then they have a concert on Friday night.  It's amazing how quickly they can learn the songs and how amazing they sound by Friday!  Caleb did it last year but this year both boys are doing it.  Thankfully they have two drum kits in the band!

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the amazing and super fun Linda Callahan.  Linda's cards are always thoughtful and often quite punny!  Head on over to her blog and check them out!

Linda's sketch has a LOT of circles on it.  Not just one, but there are three HUGE circles.  Okay, they're not huge but if you don't like circles they seem super big!  I decided I just didn't want to tackle circles and opted to go with triangles instead!!  I have some scrap paper left from camp and used some of the Tutti Frutti for the card!  I decided to go for a black, white and red scheme.  I really do love red!!!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red
DSP: Tutti Frutti
Stamps: Sentiment Essentials (Reverse Confetti)
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Dual Stitched Triangles (Lil Inkers), Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has created to inspire you!

Have a fabulous day!!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #322

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  Hope you're having a great week so far?  Anyone else having some crazy weather?  My youngest son (Jake) was outside playing hockey with his dad on Sunday in a t-shirt.  Now, it was only 5 degrees celsius here and I don't consider that t-shirt weather.  Then on Monday night we get about 15 cm of snow.  Now it's -12 and freezing!  I guess the weather hasn't quite made up it's mind yet about whether it's winter or spring!!!

We have a great new sketch today at Freshly Made Sketches.  Our hostess this week is our amazing French designer Cecile Ribon!  Cecile has the most amazing collection of dies.  I think I would love to go and visit her over in France and play with all those incredible dies!!!

Cecile's sketch is super versatile and can be turned into almost anything!  You should see the amazing shaker cards Karren and Jen M created!  I opted to use a DSP panel for my card.  I'm still trying to tackle the February birthday cards!  We won't talk about my husband's birthday that's on Saturday though.  I do not have that card made!  Masculine cards always throw me for a loop!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Watermelon Wonder, Whisper White
DSP: It's a retired 6X6 paper stack from SU (I can't remember the name)
Stamps: Sentiment Essentials (Reverse Confetti), Love Blooms (Reverse Confetti)
Ink: Stazon Black, Old Olive
Other: Sequins, Love Blooms Confetti Cuts, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has created!

We can't wait to see what your card looks like this week!

Have an amazing day!
