Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #440
Hello!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you're having a great week! We're having a great week in Southern Ontario. We will be progressing to Stage 2 openings on Friday which means that hair cuts are now available. All three boys have hair cuts booked! I cut my husband's hair on the weekend but just did a little trim. He definitely still needs a proper cut. We'll mask everyone up and be good to go. I will have to wait a while longer to get my hair cut. I'll survive!!!
We have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week. Our hostess this week is our colour whiz Amy O'Neill! Amy mixes colours together so well. Her cards are always so beautiful. She's also the queen of elements! Head over to her blog to check them out!
I already had one coloured sunflower sitting on my desk when I saw this sketch and knew that making a second done would be the answer to this card! I also saw some of this gingham paper and knew this would pair perfectly. Okay, maybe not perfectly but I thought it was very "farmish"!!!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Balmy Blue
DSP: Gingham
Stamps: Celebrate Sunflowers
Ink: Memento Black
Other: Stampin Blends, Sweetly Stitched Dies, Sequins, Dimensionals
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team have posted! They're just fabulous!
Have an amazing day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #439
Hello!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a great week! Things are slowly beginning to open here. Well, not as much here. We live in an area that won't be opening quite yet! We have another two weeks of waiting! That's okay, gives me some more card making time! My introverted little heart could probably stay locked up forever and be happy!!!
We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches! Our hostess this week is our floral cutting guru, Narelle Farrugia! If you want to see what I mean, just head on over to Narelle's blog and check it out!
Narelle's sketch is so versatile but of course I might have stared at it for a while. I had to really force myself not to use the sunflowers! Seriously I love those flowers but coming in a close second are the cute little bees!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black
Stamps: Honey Bee, Itty Bitty Birthdays
Ink: Memento Black, Daffodil Delight
Other: Detailed Bees Dies, Stitched Squares, Itty Bitty Banners Dies, Frosted Epoxy Droplets, Stampin Blends, Dimensionals
Thanks so much for stopping by! Please head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team have created! You will love them!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #438
Hello!
Happy Wednesday and welcome to June!!! Can you believe it's June?! I know a lot of you have kids that are already done school and enjoying their summer break. My Canadian kids will be grinding out this distance learning thing until almost the end of the month. Let's just say now that the golf course is open, there isn't a whole lot of motivation to do school work! Only a few more weeks!
We have a great new sketch today at Freshly Made Sketches! Our hostess this week is the super creative, colouring genius Karren Johnson. You will definitely want to head on over to her blog and check out her gorgeous designs!
When I first saw the sketch and that giant diamond, I tried to figure out what I could use. Then the sunflowers struck! I just love those new Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and the dies from Stampin' Up. At first I didn't like them and I was a little disappointed they were part of pre-order. Now, I just want to use them all day long!!! So, I apologize in advance for how many sunflower cards you're going to see!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Mossy Meadow
DSP: In Good Taste DSP, World of Good Specialty
Stamps: Celebrate Sunflowers
Ink: Stazon Black (not sure why I didn't use Early Espresso!)
Other: Sunflower Dies, Tasteful Texture Embossing Folder, Dimensionals
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to check out the cards the Design Team created for your inspiration!
Have an amazing day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #437
Hi!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you're having a good week! We're having a crazy hot week here. 2 weeks ago we had snow and now we're melting! I won't complain, it's better than winter! Our boys have been able to get out for a few rounds of golf which is helping them from being too bored! Our kids are doing online school until the end of June so we have a while to go! Golf is providing a much needed distraction.
We have a fun new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches! Our hostess this week is our incredibly talented and French designer Cecile Ribon! Cecile is our die cut master. Head over to her blog and you'll see what I'm talking about!
I must say I was a little challenged with the sketch. Those wiggly rectangles might have thrown me a bit. I had to dig deep with this one. This is not my first card (I'm sure you already knew that!). Needless to say I ended up with some butterflies. I tried my first splotches on this card as well! Let's say I'm going to need some practice!!!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Whipser White, Gorgeous Grape, Silver Foil
Stamps: The Inside Scoop - Birthday (Taylored Expressions)
Ink: Stazon Black, Gorgeous Grape
Other: In Flight Overlays (Taylored Expressions), Tasteful Texture Embossing Folder
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team girls have come up with!
Have an amazing day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #436
Hello!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you're having a great start to your week. Yesterday our schools were officially cancelled for the rest of the year. I find it really hard to believe. I am totally okay with it, don't get me wrong. I just didn't realize before the March break that it would be the end of the year. I realize now that Caleb (my oldest) won't get his Grade 8 grad. I still remember my Grade 8 grad like it was yesterday. Thankfully (and probably because he's a boy) he doesn't really care! He didn't like the thoughts of having to dress up and walk across the stage! Oh boys!
We have a brand new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches! I have the joy of being the hostess this week! I wanted to keep the sketch very simple. I had in my mind that I would use it to make my son's 14th birthday card. His birthday is tomorrow. Obviously that didn't happen! Best of intentions!
You can also probably see that I put my sentiment in the wrong spot! Actually, had it in the right spot but the rhino and the sentiment didn't look right so I had to switch them. My dad's cousin needed some gender neutral baby cards. I knew white would be the ideal colour. I haven't done a shaker card in a LONG time so I figured it was about time to crack out the sequins!
I made a second card (actually this was the first card) using the retiring poppy DSP. I just love that paper. The Sweetly Stitched Dies might just be my favourite ever and I think they get used on pretty much every card right now!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Smokey Slate
Stamps: Zoo Babies, Sentiment Flags
Ink: Smokey Slate
Other: Sentiment Flags Dies, Stitched Frames, Softly Falling TIEF, Sequins (Taylored Expressions), Dimensionals
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out all the amazing cards the the Design Team has created! They are absolutely gorgeous! I can't wait to see what you come up with this week!
Have an amazing day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #435
Hello!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a fabulous week! We've been having a great week. It's been crazy cold though. I mean crazy cold! We even had snow. I don't think I remember the last time that it snowed in May! Man it's been cold. I've been bringing my poor flowers in every night. I think we're over the last of it though. Hopefully! I think it was warmer in March than it is now!!!
We have a brand new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches! Our hostess this week is the amazing Kim Singdahlsen. Kim's cards are gorgeous! Head on over to her blog to check them out!
Now, I saw those stripes and got a little panicked! I might have made several renditions of this card. I tried a Father's Day one and then I tried some other patterned papers and nothing quite worked. I finally pulled out the bees again. I couldn't help myself. I just love the sweet little bees! Let's just say that even after I decided on the bees I struggled with the paper choice! Maybe I think to much! Needless to say, my craft cave is a disaster!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Gold Foil
DSP: Golden Honey Specialty
Stamps: Honey Bee, Peaceful Moments
Ink: Memento Black
Other: Detailed Bees Dies, Stampin Blends, Subtle Texture Embossing Folder, Dimensionals
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards that the Design Team has created!
Have an amazing week!
