Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #322

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  Hope you're having a great week so far?  Anyone else having some crazy weather?  My youngest son (Jake) was outside playing hockey with his dad on Sunday in a t-shirt.  Now, it was only 5 degrees celsius here and I don't consider that t-shirt weather.  Then on Monday night we get about 15 cm of snow.  Now it's -12 and freezing!  I guess the weather hasn't quite made up it's mind yet about whether it's winter or spring!!!

We have a great new sketch today at Freshly Made Sketches.  Our hostess this week is our amazing French designer Cecile Ribon!  Cecile has the most amazing collection of dies.  I think I would love to go and visit her over in France and play with all those incredible dies!!!

Cecile's sketch is super versatile and can be turned into almost anything!  You should see the amazing shaker cards Karren and Jen M created!  I opted to use a DSP panel for my card.  I'm still trying to tackle the February birthday cards!  We won't talk about my husband's birthday that's on Saturday though.  I do not have that card made!  Masculine cards always throw me for a loop!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Watermelon Wonder, Whisper White
DSP: It's a retired 6X6 paper stack from SU (I can't remember the name)
Stamps: Sentiment Essentials (Reverse Confetti), Love Blooms (Reverse Confetti)
Ink: Stazon Black, Old Olive
Other: Sequins, Love Blooms Confetti Cuts, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has created!

We can't wait to see what your card looks like this week!

Have an amazing day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #321

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I trust you're having a great start to your week!  Are you guys having crazy weather where you are?  We've had warm and cold then warm and cold.  Our snow is gone which disappoints the kids.  There's nothing but mud out there.  The wind is blowing and there's a cold front coming in.  Cold with no snow.  Sounds fabulous!!!

We have a new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  I happen to be this week's hostess!  It's always exciting to get to choose a design and then look at all the amazing cards that end up in the gallery!  I always find it incredible to see how many different cards can be created from one sketch!

So, I needed some birthday cards.  I need a lot of birthday cards actually.  I apparently know a lot of people with a February birthday!  My husband is one of them but I'm pretty sure this card won't work for him so I'll probably need to make a different one!!!  I can't help but keep using the Botanical Builders.  I know they're retired but they're my favourite and I can't bear to stop creating fun flowers with them!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whipser White, Early Espresso, Copper Foil
DSP: Wood Textures DSP Pack
Stamps: LJD Birthday Greetings
Ink: Early Espresso
Other: Botanical Builders, Sequins, Banners Framelits Dies, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous card the Design Team has created for your inspiration!

Have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #320

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great start to your week!  We've got a bit of snow on the ground right now so the kids are happy.  They like to play in the snow at school and they both really like to shovel snow.  There is rain in the forecast though so I'm assuming our snow will disappear - which I don't mind but leads to lots of indoor recesses and squirmy kids!

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches courtesy of the amazingly talented Kim Singdahlsen.  Kim's cards are fantastic and she comes up with the best designs!  I could totally go and play in her craft room for hours too!  I've always wanted to visit Colorado!

I must admit that at first I was a little stumped with this design.  I started to panic a bit but then realized that I needed a baby card for my sister in law who had a baby early in December.  Now, don't think I'm a slacker and just sending the card now!  Kim had her sketch ready super duper early because she's amazing and so my card was done a LONG time ago!!!  I decided to stick with the heart theme, added some glimmer pink, threw in some texture and voila.  A card to welcome my first niece!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Glimmer Pink (Non-SU)
Stamps: Sentiment Flag Additions (Lil Inkers)
Ink: Stazon Black
Other: Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder, Softly Falling Embossing Folder, Stitched Flags Die (Lil Inkers), Hearts Dies (Spellbinders), Dimenaionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the amazing cards the Design Team has created!  You can also welcome our Guest Designer Teresa Kline to the team!

Have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #319

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you are having a great start to your week!  We finally have some much warmer temperatures here in Southern Ontario!  Last week I was in the Ottawa Valley with my parents and the temperatures dropped as low as -40 with the windchill.  It was brutally cold.  Made me so thankful for the wood stove!!!

We have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week courtesy of one of our Texans, Rita Wright!  Rita is also one of our colouring queens!  I'm always amazed at what she can create!  I think I need to take a little adventure down to Texas to learn how to colour!!!
Rita has created such a great sketch!  This one can be interpreted in so many different ways!  I need some birthday cards so I decided to haul out my Botanical Builders and start creating.  I opted for black and white to keep the card simple.  I used my "You're So" stamp set and dies from Reverse Confetti and voila!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black
Stamps: You're So (Reverse Confetti)
Ink: Stazon Black
Other: You're So Confetti Cuts, Botanical Builders Framelits, Black Rhinestones, Warm Welcome Dies, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the amazing cards the design team has created for your inspiration!

Have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #318

Hello!
Happy Wednesday and Merry Christmas!  This is our last challenge of 2017!  Can you believe it?  Another year has come and gone!  I hope you're all ready for Christmas and get to spend some nice relaxing time with your loved ones!

We have a great "last" sketch at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the hilarious and creative Linda Callahan!  So, I need you all to help me convince Linda to write a book!  She is full of amazing and funny stories and I'd love to sit down and read them all in the pages of a book one day!!!  Linda also makes beautiful cards so you need to head over to her blog and check them out!

I needed some cards for the boys teachers and know this sketch would work perfectly but it would need to be turned on it's side.  I hope this doesn't make me too rebellious!  I love the Carols of Christmas stamp set from SU and knew it was just what I needed for this card!  I threw on a few of the felt embellishments and voila!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Red Foil
DSP: Quilted Christmas
Stamps: Carols of Christmas
Ink: Stazon Black
Other: Felt Embellishments, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Head on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the gorgeous cards the Design Team has created for your inspiration.
Remember you have three weeks to play along with this challenge!!!

Have a fabulous day and a Merry Christmas!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #317

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're enjoying your week and your Christmas preparations are going well!  We had a slight Christmas decoration faux pas yesterday when my cat (Pepsi) decided that walking across our fire place mantle and stopping to play with the pine cones and garland would be a good idea.  Not so much.  Garland, poinsettias (fakes one of course), lights and pine cones all ended up on the floor.  Pepsi just sat up on the mantle looking at what she'd done like she was sweet and innocent!  The boys of course just laughed!

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is the incredibly talented Jen Mitchell!  Jen creates amazing cards that always blow my mind.  I think she's the queen of clean cards! I love what she can do with paper!

The sketch is very versatile this week!  I do love the Merry Little Christmas DSP from SU and had to use it again for this card!  The stitched felt embellishments were too cute, how could I not throw one on!!!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Real Red, Red Glimmer
DSP: Merry Little Christmas
Stamps: Carols of Christmas
Ink: Stazon
Other: Stitched Felt Embellishments, Double Stitched Squares (Lil Inkers), Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to see what the Design Team has cooked up for your viewing pleasure!

Have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #316

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  How is your Christmas shopping coming along?  I am almost finished...I think!  I am waiting on a few things that are supposed to be delivered soon but I think I'm in better shape than I was last year. I've started wrapping gifts - it's not my favourite job so I figured if I started early and got them done I wouldn't have to dread it anymore!!!  My trusty cat helper hasn't been so helpful and tends to just lay all over the paper!

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is our favourite pilot Jen Timko!  Jen makes the most gorgeous cards!  She can colour with the best of them and comes up with the most creative concepts for cards!  Head over to her blog and check them out!

So I think this is the last Christmas card that I have to make.  I love the Merry Little Christmas DSP and thought it would look great with some black and silver paper!  Very non traditional colours but I still kinda like it!  I added some rhinestones to the centres of some of the snowflakes since I thought they needed a little boost of sparkle!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer
DSP: Merry Little Christmas
Stamps: Christmas Pines
Ink: Stazon Black
Other: Dimesionals, Basic Rhinestones

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the amazing cards the Design Team has created to inspire you!

Have a fabulous day!
